Best Western Tyrolean Lodge

If you’re a skier this place is located directly across from Bald Mountain. Very convenient. We really enjoyed the Swiss ambience of the place. The pool is heated so it was nice even in 30 degree temps. Hot pool was nice. The continental breakfast was very impressive. Jeremy was great at check in. We would stay again.

We totally enjoyed our check-in process with Jedi, a wonderfully personable local who went to school in Ketchum. The well-appointed room was comfortable and had ample lighting. My morning shower had lots of water pressure. The free buffet was wonderful...biscuits and gravy, ham, hash, scrambled eggs, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal and fruit. I used the tortillas to make breakfast burritos. This motel is legendary in the Ketchum area, with a clear view of Bald Mountain. Good place!

Such a great little gem !! Walking distance from the town and resort. VERY RUSTIC and loved it !! Breakfast was dynamic, especially given it came with the room. Hot tub and pool were warm (hot tub was 102 degrees). The staff even cleaned snow off the cars in the morning.

If you need an elevator, I did not see one.

This hotel is an excellent choice for families or anyone looking for a budget friendly option. Yes it's older. But the amenities more than make up for it. The rooms are on the small side, but we weren't in them much but to sleep. Refrigerator in the room, microwave available in the common area. The breakfast is outstanding - really way better than other more expensive hotel chains. My kids loved the game room, the hot tub and pool, and the coffee and hot chocolate maker in the lobby and fresh warm cookies really put it over the top. There are lots of options in Ketchum but this hotel's location with a shuttle stop right outside cannot be beat. It's quiet, clean, and the staff are wonderful. Really can't believe what you get for the price, don't hesitate to book.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Booked for a ski trip to Sun Valley. Main Gondola is about 200 yards from hotel. City has free bus service if you don’t want to walk. Hotel is older but in excellent shape. Breakfast had lots of options.

Property is a bit dated but was clean and very convenient for our ski vacation. The rooms were spacious with small balcony. Breakfast was great and the front desk staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly!

Jessica and Brook were amazing at checkout. The lady that checked us in was amazing as well,sorry I forgot your name. Breakfast was great with amazing location. Rooms could use a little updating for the price we paid. But overall it was amazing

Went up and stayed at the lodge due to the fact I had to have surgery on my 11-month-old Aussie shepherds he needed a new hip. On Monday when I was supposed to have him at Dr. Acker my car wouldn't start. I received great help from Brian,. We couldn't get it started and he was awesome and took trucker and I to see Dr. Acker. Jedi at the front desk we developed an instant relationship. She's very helpful. Very friendly. She tells you great places to go and I greatly enjoyed her also. Will and Megan they were at the front desk too and they were super helpful and Will even drove me to pick up my car when it was supposed to be ready. I'm going to give this lodge five stars. I may have been in the noisiest room in the place but it was dog friendly and you can put your plugs in and you can also cover your eyes so you don't have to deal with light. They welcomed my dogs. They were very concerned about everything and the staff at this lodge are caring. Very friendly and will try to help you at any chance they can if they're able. Thank you guys! You made a wonderful stay for me.

Really a great hotel with a "mountain" heart. Staff is very friendly, and you feel their effort to do their best. Rooms are nice with all services. Breakfast is supreme, with a lot of hot and cold options and fresh fruit (really outstanding)... and... a good espresso coffee available h24 near a fireplace. There is a parking lot just outside, There is a wellness zone. Good location, because you can walk to downtown (about half mile), but you can even walk to lifts (but with skiboots and ski is not easy) because there are about 1000ft or less (anyway you can get the free shuttle if you don't want to walk). Consider there are some steps/stairs inside the hotel. Wifi works perfectly. I would choose it again for skiing SunValley.

This is a wonderful place to stay! The heated pool and hot tub are wonderful, although the hot tub wasn’t as hot as typical hot tubs are but that’s okay. Beautiful views of the ski resort! They had a wonderful hot breakfast and my kids loved the game room with air hockey, ping pong and foosball.

Excellent choice for our Thanksgiving getaway!! Homey well decorated & maintained hotel for its age! This HOTEL DOES NOT SMELL LIKE MOLD AT ALL AS STATED BY PREV GUEST. Clean & nice amenities with fireplsce & tea & coffee in the lobby. Loved the heated pool & Breakfast bar & so many great choices! Fresh blackberries ~ fresh yogurt ~ waffles ~ eggs ~ oatmeals & all the fixins! Excellent helpful & kind staff & our room …was quiet, clean & comfy. We loved our stay at the Tyrolean!!

This hotel was surprisingly awesome for the price. The location is close to downtown Ketchum and close to Bald Mountain. Service was great and so was housekeeping. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent for the family. My kids loved the pool and game room, but the best surprise was the hot chocolate/coffee maker in the lobby. It made some of the best hot cocoa we've ever had. Staff was friendly and the facility was clean. We would absolutely stay there again.

This is definitely a "must return" place to stay. The hotel is comfortable and beautiful with many added touches and amenities not found at the typical Best Western. Jessica and Delaney were both extremely professional, warm and friendly and clearly keep the place running smoothly. I had made a last minute, late night arrival due to an unexpected travel disruption. The room was so comfortable and clean, I immediately made a reservation for a second night's stay. Breakfast was generous with a wide variety of offerings not usually found at a Best Western. The surrounding area is quite beautiful. It is the professionalism and kindness of Jessica and Delaney, however, that made my stay so enjoyable. I will definitely be back.

Old world charm, great staff, pet friendly, wonderful ambiance, perfect location (on shuttle route for skier pick/up), beautiful mountain views, a huge dog area/walking path. Has complimentary breakfast, just enough to get you going for the morning. The staff are super friendly and go above and beyond to assist. The hotel staff even clears the snow off your cars in the morning :) Most of the guests that we have met in the last few stays are repeat guests for years and love it as much as we do. We have met some wonderful people in the lobby, hanging out by the fireplace. Did I mention they have a fireplace and a great European coffee maker in the lobby?! And fresh cookies and doggy treats at reception.

Great find in Ketchum!!! I have not stayed at a Best Western before. We got a mountain view room with a deck that looked towards the ski resort. The front desk was extremely welcoming. Brooke was awesome and so helpful. The location is amazing and amenities with pool and spa was hit with the kids. I will definitely be back again.

I visited here a couple months ago during ski season. I chose it because it was the least expensive option available in Ketchum. I liked the location (right next to a bus stop that takes you to the ski resort) and I really liked the breakfast. Although I didn't spend much time in them, the common areas (the lobby, game room and hot tub area) looked very nice.
I had a bit of an issue when I first arrived. I had booked my room through a third party site that never sent the reservation to the hotel. The manager went above and beyond to help me in this unfortunate situation that I had found myself in. She gave me another room at a reasonable rate and later wrote a letter to help me get a refund for the fraudulent booking. I really can't thank her enough, because I don't think that I would have ever gotten my money back if it weren't for that letter she wrote.

From Denver to Sun Valley to enjoy Thanksgiving on the slopes! and surprise, in addition to a great day skiing, we had a truly enjoyable stay at the Best Western Tyrolean Lodge. Delaney at the front desk was over-the-top pleasant, helpful and sincere. Our room was comfortable, clean, nicely appointed, and void of any issues. The HVAC held the room temperature as desired through the night. The lobby is warm, cozy and inviting. We’ll be back, 100%!
And by the way, this property is walking distance to gondola! Bonus!

This place was amazing. Directly across the street from Bald Mountain parking lot/River run lift. Staff was extremely nice, free breakfast was amazing, and the pool/hot tub area was amazing! We walked to Grumpy’s and Casino bar from the hotel and some how walked back. We had a room with two queen beds and a shared balcony. Room was extremely clean but a bit on the small side compared to the photos. Would definitely stay here again!! Location location location!

Fantastic pool and pool area .
Breakfast was amazing waffles and toppings where the best. Probably the best breakfast we had on a 16 day holiday in America.
