Sweetwaters at Landalls

I absolutely love everything about this place, from the atmosphere to the customer service & cleanliness. This is my favorite cafe in Portales because they serve the best variety of drinks/food. However, I will say that I’m a little bit disappointed in the past couple sandwiches I’ve gotten because they barely put anything on it & it’s mostly bread. :( I’ll continue to go back, I just think the sandwiches should have bigger portions since they are about $8 each.

I wish I could give more stars! The employees are wonderful people with phenomenal service. The atmosphere is fun with a cool vibe. The food is the best ever. Everything we tried was delicious. Favorites were a potato soup bread bowl and carrot cake. You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent food and ice cream. Husband normally gets ham and cheese panini and I get the Angry olive salad or a soup. We have not had a food or flavor of ice cream we did not like so far.

They offer a rewards program, you can order online, call in, or dine in.

Owner and his mother are genuine and kind. They treat you like family.

This is the best place in town for ice cream, so many different and unique flavors to choose from.
Staff is always super friendly too.
Definitely worth a visit even if just passing through town.

I would give 6 stars if I could. The only place in town that does a London Fog right. If you haven't had one, go get an iced London Fog and you won't regret it. So many different flavors of homemade Ice Cream, there is a flavor for everyone. Have a problem with food or service? Landall and Peggy will never let you down.

What a wonderful vibe! Hospitality that was missing everywhere else but here. Staff was super friendly, and Peggy was a sweetheart. It was exactly what we needed for our long drive to Arkansas! We will absolutely be stopping here again.

All the employees are so friendly and efficient. The tomato soup is AMAZING, and they even give you little grilled cheese bites with it.

We absolutely love this place and drive kinda far to visit it but it’s worth it! Their ice cream is homemade and some of the best I’ve ever had! My absolute fav is the lemon cookie it is perfection. They have tons of delicious and original flavors. I’ve also had coffee here which is also great! Everyone who works here is always friendly and polite, especially the owner she is such a sweetheart. Also, one thing that I was pretty impressed with was one time we went in 15 minutes before they closed to grab some ice cream & the girl who served us was still very nice. Which I appreciated because I get it, people want to go home. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!

The ice cream is homemade. It is very delicious. They give you very generous scoops. The price is very worth it. Their other food is also very delicious and priced right. Very friendly staff. Eclectic decor.

We absolutely LOVE Landalls. The ice cream and the people are beyond amazing! Peggy and Landall are some of the sweetest (pun, intended) people you will ever meet!

This place is amazing. We were in portales for a horse judging clinic so we had a large group of kids that were tired, this place really brought them joy and they really enjoyed the ice cream. Great food and excellent costumer service even with a large group of kids that couldn't decide what they wanted the staff was patient and quick. Definitely does not disappoint.

This was such a cute place! Great food and service! Cauliflower crust pizza is a must! With homemade ranch! The buttered cornbread ice cream was delicious 😋 (also homemade) The coffee was so yummy! Great selections! Definitely will be back for more! The staff were very helpful and friendly! Plus a clean fun environment!
