What a beautiful little oasis in the middle of the fields. We had a non electric spot. Worked great for us as you can use your generator. Camped by YouTuber Slim Potatoehead. The little lake is stocked. A very kind gentleman offered us his catch. Walking trails are nice. Park office is friendly. Great place for kids as there are showed and a playground.

Small but beautiful park. Peaceful and very clean. Catfish and trout stocked lake is the oasis. Playground is shaded. Shaded spots for fishing. Day fee. Some tent and RV sites. Bathrooms spacious and new, push button/auto-off showers.

Great camping area, I overnight with a camper van and for just $18 you have access to electricity and water, besides de bathrooms. Very clean and organized. Self checkin and checkout.

Very clean! Quiet! Not many people. Lots of space between campsites. Satellite images do not give this campground credit. I would happily stay here again. Clovis dig site and museum close by. Dump station clean and functional.

Very quiet & peaceful park. We had a great 2 week stay and the park stayed fairly empty, even over the July 4th weekend. I think part of that might be their reservation site does not show their sites on the map feature and I know I almost missed the fact that they had sites available. Small trail but the dogs picked up lots of stickers on the trail. The pond was an enjoyable walk each morning/evening. We saw lots of cool little critters. Biggest down side, oh the FLIES! There is no enjoyable outside sitting without flies all over you, face and all. Letting the dogs out in the morning with only a moment of open door, lead to killing 50 flies in the RV. Otherwise great stay. =)

Oasis State Park is a great get-away from town. The camp host & rangers do a fantastic job of keeping the park very clean. Some decent hiking trails and great views of the plains. The park is near a few cattle ranches so sometimes you do get the smell of "ranching" in the evenings. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed for one night while passing through on our way home. Love NM state parks. The RV campgrounds are priced right, spacious, and well maintained. Each site has 30amp for sure, can’t remember if there was 50amp, and fresh water spigot. Dump station was at the entrance to the electric sites and fully operational.

Beautiful camping spots with water and electricity in a pull thru spot at number 15. They have a covered picnic table and great views. Nice walk around the pond/oasis! Can hear coyotes in the distance.

If you find yourself in the area, Oasis State Park is a nice place to stop for a picnic, a short walk or perhaps some fishing. As for the trails, they aren't very long but the sand dunes are definitely unique. The immediate area also has a long history of human occupation as well as an active fossil dig nearby. I was surprised to learn that Oasis is considered the mouth of the Brazos River which flows across Texas and empties in to the Gulf of Mexico. I wouldn't drive hundreds of miles to visit, but if you're nearby it is definitely worth a visit.

We are full-time RVers and stayed here for two weeks. It has a great campground. Easy access to sites and well maintained. Great staff, great facilities, very convenient to Portales, Clovis, Canon Ari Force Base, and to highways for access to Santa Fe, Roswell, Albuquerque, Amarillo, and Lubbock. Highly recommend this park.

If you're looking for a nice spot near Clovis, New Mexico, it doesn't get much better. Super new restrooms, garbage service (yes, they come by and remove your personal trash can), nice big lots, and great views.

There's not a lot to do here, but it truly does feel like an oasis.

Follow along @theggoldenroad for more camping spots, places to go, and just a good time!

We stayed here on our way to the Grand Canyon. They had great sites, water and electric hookups, and an easy walk to bathrooms (with showers!). The kids walked out to the lake and said it was good for fishing and skipping rocks.
