I have been bringing my grandchildren to the library since they were lap sitters. The librarians arehelpful and kind. Now there are programs for adults too. I would recommend this library to anyone.

I've been coming to this library for as long as I can remember (but at least 15 years). I love coming in the summertime and letting my kiddos play on the little kid computers while I read a little (I always stay close by). They're always friendly to me and my children!

Very friendly staff, small large print section and media room and good sized children's area. Many tables with charging stations. Good magazine selection. Multiple children's activities also. If you live in Portales and are looking for things to do with your children, check out the Portales Public Library.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff! As a former public library employee [currently employed at ENMU'S Golden Library], I have to say that the Portales Public Library is about as good as it gets. The varied collection is large enough to keep most anyone happily reading for the foreseeable future. The public access computers are speedy, plentiful, and come with a fair amount of free printouts. DVDs are available and the selection is diverse and not lacking in size. As a student, I find the private study rooms to be very helpful. Although I am unable to visit as often as I would like, I have *literally never* had a bad experience at the library; PPL is a hidden gem in this place we call home!

I love this library, and my teen enjoys it, too. The young adult room is ideal.

Activities for kids, and young adults. Nice helpful staff. Study rooms available upon request. Internet available...computers for use for up to an hour w 10 copies max for free. Copier available for 15 cents. Faxes available for $1.50 per page.
