Grill at Knob Hill

We celebrated our 32nd anniversary here & we couldn't think of a finer place. Menu included all of our parents' & any foodie's classic favorites, like escargot, lamb lollipops, filet mignon & prime rib, rack of lamb, proper Wienerschnitzel with the perfect balance of sweet (lingonberries) to savory (spaetzle), mud pie...

Oh & piping hot, crusty, buttery pillow-soft popovers, our first!!! So addictive.

Service was warm & friendly.

But we should've asked for steak knives for our roast chicken & schnitzel, & mud pie...

I can't say anything but great things about this restaurant. We were so impressed with the food and service that I wanted to give them a 5 star review.

We come to Sun Valley from Salt Lake City 3 or 4 times a year and this is the best meal we’ve had in this town. My wife and I had heard from some folks the trout was fantastic so we both ordered it and it was awesome! Met the owner who was most gracious and friendly and relayed the same message to him. Beautiful grounds and expert service! Unfortunately we probably won’t be back in town for another couple months but we will most definitely be back.

We were already biased since we were thrilled that they squeezed our reservation in on a very busy night just before Christmas. We had a perfect corner table in the bar and had beef carpaccio, steamed clams, escargot, ceasar salad, fried chicken, lamb lollipops and prime rib. I'm listing all of these to demonstrate the variety of dishes we sampled and they were ALL delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We sat in the garden outside. It was unbelievably lovely... I felt like I was at a garden party in England. The tables sit on a soft, green lawn, beautiful flowers and shrubs all around the perimeterof the lawn. At night it gets dark and all you have is moonlight, candle lit tables and some string lights. I was perfectly delighted by the ambiance.

I had the shrimp for an appetizer and the Idaho Trout. Shrimp came out in the shell and was a bit of a pain to peel, but the trout was perfect. It was a huge portion (but I couldn't... I ate the whole thing).

We attended a beautiful outdoor reception at Nob Hill recently. The setting service and food or off the charts. overall I would have to say it was one of the more beautiful wedding receptions that we have attended.

We started w the escargot which were tender and well seasoned. Next the lamb lollipops with a marvelous mint sauce. Perfectly medium rare.
Next the Canadian Walleye with a pretzel crust and Dijon mustard sauce. Amazing 5/5. Highly recommend

Took my boyfriend to dinner for his birthday, and everything was awesome! We went out for a great time and our waitress, Olivia, let us take our time and we never felt rushed and the food was fantastic! I had the filet, always wonderful! And the birthday boy had the crab legs, incredible!! Love the Dunns and All they do!

The crab legs were beyond good and darn good drinks as well. Best margaritas and tequila sunrises in ketchum!

We had rehearsal dinner here for our nieces wedding and it was superb

Delicious! We came for the Locals Appreciation Special Menu - we decided on the Parmesan crusted Rockfish & the New York Strip ( I am a ribeye girl normally, but it was delicious & cooked perfectly!)

We ate here for our wedding anniversary. We had great service at the bar for a cocktail before dinner. Shelly, our server in the restaurant was very knowledgeable about the menu, wines, dessert, etc. The popovers and spread were heavenly. I enjoyed the caprese salad and my husband had the calamari - delicious! My husband had the trout and I had the filet - both were outstanding. We shared the cheesecake for dessert - equally yummy. Shelly was attentive to our needs throughout our dinner and made our experience exceptional!

Great food in a beautiful outdoor setting. Service was very nice and upscale wine list.
Will definitely visit again

Prime rib was a bit tough but otherwise very good food, especially the trout. Waitstaff was excellent although perhaps needed more hands. The outdoor eating area was almost magical and we had a lovely evening overall!

Hey Taylor McFarlane. Food poisoning can't possibly kick in that fast. IF you actually got food poisoning it would have been from something you ate earlier that day. This is 2023. Try Google. It will explain this to you. Don't bash a restaurant because your stupid!

Dinner at The Grill was the perfect choice for eight treasured friends to celebrate years of absence.
The evening started with the intuitive, professional Shelly and her assistant Georgia who provided excellent service. From the appetizers to dessert the delectable culinary choices selected were prepared to perfection.
I send my gratitude to everyone who makes "The Grill" stand out above the rest.

My husband and I went to The Grill for my 50th birthday this weekend. It was our first visit to the restaurant which was recommended highly by staff at the Limelight hotel. We were ushered to our table right away where our server Rachel was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list for an order. The bar was beautiful and the restaurant was both elegant and informal. We had the escargot with Pernod and bacon to start which were amazing, followed by fried chicken and rack of lamb with mint pesto. The food was so delicious and beautifully presented and we were offered a basket of freshly baked popovers with honey butter as a delightful house side. The wine list was extensive and offered selections for every price point. The desert menu looked delicious but we were so full! Next time. We ended with a glass of tawny port and Sauternes. Our meal was leisurely and Rachel encouraged us to return in the Summer so we could sit outside in the lawn area which looked lovely when we peeked out into the snow. This was a lovely experience and a definite future add to our restaurant choices when we visit Ketchum!

Stopped in for a glass of wine & some tasty popovers. Our lovely bartender, Dru (not sure of spelling) was awesome. Shelly (spelling again) also gave outstanding service- offering me a taste of their new gin.

This restaurant gives the full experience; superb food, superlative service, and refined ambience. The calamari was the best I have ever had. Period. Canadian Walleye as the entrie was subtlety exquisite. Even the vegetables enjoyed the perfect crispness and char. Server Shanna was attentive, yet discreet. Balance was the target at this dinner, and the target was a bullseye.
