AJs Wings

Walk up ordering. Sit where you like. HUGE portions. We went around 1pm on a Saturday & it was pretty empty, but they had lots of orders over the phone come in for pickup during our time there. Establishment was clean & staff was kind! The food was good! The batter on the mushrooms was a little thick & crunchy for my taste, but still tasted fine! We also had mozzarella sticks, loved how the cheese stretched out & it was so tasty! The French fries were great! Strawberry shake was yummy & huge! They had several TVs with different programs on it. Our favorite was the trivia TV! I had the sammich deluxe & it was very juicy!

This place was perfect! The young lady taking my order was patient with me and made some great suggestions. The lemon pepper wings were crisp and had a great amount of seasonings. The onion rings were crunchy and not over battered. Def recommend.

We were in town for an overnight stay and found AJs online. It looked inviting and was within walking distance. We walked in and figured out you order at the counter and then sit down. The guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful. After a short discussion we ordered. Wife got 6 buffalo and I got 6 of house BBQ. Wow, the sauce was awesome. The house BBQ is a great blend of sweet/spicy. We also got fries, which were fresh and tasty. Next time we are in this area we WILL be visiting again.

If you're a wing lover like me this is the place! I've tried plenty of their sauces and I'm always left completely satisfied. The customer service is pretty good too! If you're passing through Portales, visiting your child in college, or just hungry, this is the place to go!

Really good food. Staff were nice. Kinda wish they had draft beer, but they do have fountain soda and bottled soda. I got the veggie wrap and husband got wings with the ghost sauce and green chili sauce. Ghost sauce was suuuper spicy but had good flavor. Pictured is the appetizer samples which was also really yummy.

If you’re in Portales and want wings, AJ’s is the place to go. The quality of the food is always great, and there are so many awesome sauces to choose from. I’ve never had a bad experience there and the staff is super friendly!

It took us a while to eventually try AJs because the prices seemed high but honestly it’s not even a hard choice anymore. I think we order takeout from here at least 1x a week if not more. So good and you early points to redeem things.

My family and I absolutely love dinning at AJs! Everyone is so friendly and greets you as you walk-in and the wings are so delicious 🤤, keeps us coming back for more!

As a person who loves chicken wings this place is heavenly, also if you plan to order a large fry they give you a massive plate of fries.

Moving to NM and couldn't find a chicken place anywhere for months then I heard about AJ's yum yum I crave it when we're in Texas can't wait to live there closer next year oh and YOU must try the assorted appetizers with those giant out of this world cheese sticks I have never ate any better I dream of them....the friend pickles and mushrooms are delish also

We came to Portales to visit our son and daughter in law, got in late and decided to order delivery to our hotel. No clue what we were in for. My wife had a crispy chicken wrap with fries, I had the Irish Nachos with Buffalo sauce. Both were outstanding. The girl on the phone was extra helpful and the delivery driver was very polite. Terrific service and Great food. Thanks yall.

Very delicious wings and sauces! Wings are full of meat so you definitely get your money's worth. When they say monster cheese sticks they are not lying, 1 per person is more the enough for sure! I am not a big fan of the french fries but everything else is delicious!
