Log Cabin

It is worth the drive to eat here! I loved everything about it! The charming cabin decor is cozy and the staff is terrific. The only thing better is the food. The portions are generous, they look appetizing and are outstanding! I normally take pictures before I eat but it was so dang good that I ate half of it before remembering to get pics! It is an hour and a half drive for me to get there, but I can't wait to get back there! If you ever make an effort to try something, this is the place to go!

We enjoyed our visit to the Log Cabin Restaurant. We ordered the Country Fried Steak Dinner, the Open Faced Roast Beef Dinner and Fried Catfish Dinners. All were very good. Our waitress, Hailey was very attentive and super friendly. If you have the chance to dine here, you will surely enjoy it.

A nice place to have dinner in this Southern style restaurant here in the heart of Waverley town. Foods are delicious and they cooked it good! They’re selling stuff that you might like buying. Friendly staff and Good service. They got rooms attached that you can of course use for special occasions. We absolutely be coming back in time. Highly recommend! Support local!

I order the Cajun Crispy Chicken with mashed potatoes and okra. The chicken was amazing. The flavor was good and cooked to a perfect crisp. The Mexican cornbread (made with jalapenos) was so flavorful. Would highly recommend giving the Log Cabin a stop. Not to mention the great deserts, jams, candies, and jerky.

They need to put a warning label somewhere here saying you will never be able to have fried chicken anywhere but here again. The fried chicken is so crispy and flavorful and the staff is very sweet. I made a takeout order and they forgot to give me my sweet tea. Turned around and the sweet manager gave us some apple pie. I live in California and will absolutely be back here earliest opportunity

Come in with plenty of time, because it is all hand made to order, so it took half an hour to get my plate. Absolutely worth the wait!

This is the second time I've eaten here, the food is delicious. I definitely will be back again. I had the Pork Chops this time and the Country Ham last time. Neither were a disappointment. 10/10 would recommend

I called in an order because I was staying in motel next door. The service when I came in was as good as ever expected. The fries were awful. Greasy and tasted old and fried in old grease. That being said, EVERYTHING else more than made up for it. The salad was fresh with delicious dressing, the Texas toast with steak was flavored in a way I've never had before and was the best I've ever had. The showstopper was the 16oz ribeye. I try my best to try steaks in all locations I can nationwide( as I've traveled coast to coast often over last decade). Even tho I've only been lucky enough to try a small number of franchises and local spots ( like this),this rates in the top 3 of all I've tried. If you're traveling this highway and don't stop its your fault.

A must stop if you are in the area. The waitress was extremely friendly and the best sweet tea I have ever had. Food was great also

After closing my real estate sale we stopped in at the Log Cabin restaurant in Hurricane Mills, TN. Delicious fried chicken and chicken n dumplings . Home made chocolate meringue pie. Yummy 😋.

Eating out while traveling can be a gamble. The Log Cabin is a good choice! The strawberry short cake was good AND large. The patty melt was very good.

Staying at the KOA down the street and decided to try local fare. Oh! My! The fried mushrooms were so good we ate them before I could get a picture! Real brewed ice tea in a Mason jar. The Shrimp Alfredo pasta was wonderful. The Club Sandwich was huge but we managed to eat the whole thing. Good fresh food at a reasonable price. Loved the wall honoring our first responders and military. Easy access off I40. What a treasure we found!

I can't wait to go back to this restaurant. The Chicken Fried Steak was amazing. The waitress was attentive with a great personality. 👍 👌

I've been back several times and have NOT had a bad meal. Every dish here is superb, and the service is genuine and a true representation of Southern Hospitality. Best catfish ever.

I an currently going from Ohio to Texas and i stopped here for the night on Thanksgiving night. It was great.I had the 3 piece catfish dinner and a coconut pie slice and omg the food was good and it was great service. Will return one day

Our server was really attentive.
The food was first rate, the portions were more than filling. Enough so that I had enough chicken to make a sandwich the next day.

White beans, turnip greens, cabbage and the chicken breast fillet - all fantastic. The rolls and cornbread were also delicious. The restaurant also had chow chow and pepper sauce!

Dear Sweet Log Cabin, we stopped here on a whim. Not being from this state, we wanted home cooking that tasted great. My Auntie and Parents wanted fried green tomatoes from the South, they melted in their mouth. I'm allergic to tomato, no fun you see,. That's okay, I went for the southern green beans. You know that smell.. cooked with bacon, so savory, your mouth fell. Then the broiled Cajun catfish, now I don't think it's gets better from that dish. However, I was there with my parents and wife and they'll tell you their dishes were better than life. Meatloaf and country fried steak, and the prices didn't break the bank. Can we talk hospitality, yes ma'am, no sir, here let me grab the dir. Everyone was so nice and so helpful and pleasant as can be, they quickly set our minds at ease. So if you're looking to stop on a whim.. come on in.. to THE LOG CABIN

We love this place! Mallory took great care of us and always had a smile!

We eat here every time we pass through this area. Love the roast beef plate, you get 2 sides with it. I enjoy the fried okra and green beans. I've also had their catfish and fried chicken. Yumm! We got the pecan pie to eat in our camper for breakfast! Wonderful! The staff has been there a long time and recognize us when we arrive.

Food was fantastic. I look forward to eating here again. The service here needs some improvement but I'll be back. Hopefully the service will be better next time.
