The Cove at Lake Anna

Such a great experience all around! The service was 11/10 and the food and drinks were great. The manager and servers took such great care of us. We went on a night with live music (Dakota Kensey) and they absolutely killed it. Such a great environment and will absolutely be back!

Great little cove and dogs are allowed on the back deck. Walk up the side stairs for entrance, unless it is Summertime, then the downstairs is open. Pretty good food . Staff is super nice and the views are of the cove (pirates cove) and the docks. I think they rent pontoon boats as well.

Excellent fried shrimp with fries and my wife loved her Parmesan garlic wings, but the fried pickles were exceptional as an appetizer! The restaurant was simple but in an elegant way. Service was prompt and friendly without being overbearing. Definitely worth eating there anytime your in the area.

Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Service was quick. Food well presented. We had a wonderful lunch on the lake.

Live band was awesome!
Servers acted like we shouldn't be there. Walked by us many times without asking for our order. But would tell us repeatedly there was about an hour wait before they could place any food orders.

I had the shrimp tacos with TNT sauce. They were wonderful. Really flavorful. Maddy and Jordan served our party of 14 efficiently. Had a great time. Also had good appetizers crab dip and fried pickles. Ambiance on the lake was good. Sat outside on the deck overlooking the dock. Don’t miss this place and ask for Maddy or Jordan.

My dining partner and I had a delicious lunch today at The Cove. Although there was some construction going on that was pretty loud (off hours would have been better), we had an attentive waitstaff and promptly served food. We ordered the TNT shrimp appetizer. It arrived quickly, was hot, and very nicely breaded. I appreciated that the tail shells had been removed. The TNT sauce (really a remoulade) was delicious. We then split the steak and cheese with the curly fries. Our server not only brought us two plates but a serrated knife as well. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to split a sandwich with a regular knife and all it does is make a huge mess. When we requested a bit of mayonnaise she brought us each our own little cup. We truly appreciated her attention to details. The steak they used was tender and had good flavor, the vegetables crisp and hot and the cheese nicely melted. It is probably one of the best S&C I've had in a really long time. The curly fries were nicely seasoned but not overly salted (which I find happens frequently) and were a nice complement to the sandwich. When our server realized we were low on our drinks (water) but probably ready to go, she offered go cups. I will absolutely plan to go back.

My family and I love this place! We have been coming since non-stop since the doors opened in early 2016, and initially experienced the slower the usual service, but we continually spoke to the owners and staff about our experiences and watched the improvements occur in front of our eyes! These guys care so much about the experience people have in their restaurant and you can feel that when you are there! The food..... oh man! My staple is the Sandbar Burger (see the pic!) and anyone who loves just a darn good burger needs to try it, but lately every time we have gone in there has been an irresistible special so be sure to ask what the special is that night. During these winter months the upstairs is where we eat, but during the summer you will only see us on the back patio in what they have dubbed "Pirates Cove" overlooking the sun setting on Lake Anna in a calm and beautiful no wake zone area of the lake. It is such an incredible view. Finally, Sunday Brunch is great! I recommend the sausage biscuits, or if you are in a 5min or less rush, stop in right next door at the convenience store for a great breakfast sandwich!

The people who work there are great. I love the customer service and the atmosphere. The place is super clean too! I love the teal themed resturant! The food is great and comes in a timely manner. The food has HUGE portions.
Only thing I wish is that they had a little bit of a larger selection of items. Because I only want a few things from this place due to dietary restrictions. But otherwise will be back!

Service is on lake time but the food is always hot and so good. The drinks are strong and so yummy. I suggest you have a Desginated driver or call LKA Link for a ride because you are going to WANT to experience it all!!

Great vibe, great food! Sits right on beautiful Lake Anna with fantastic views of the lake. Must try the Cannonballs appetizer and fish tacos! Summer Shandy beer was great as well and the service was excellent! I will definitely be back next year!

Delish cheeseburgers and fries! Everyone is always so friendly and they don't try to rush you. Every server we have ever had has been extremely attentive and welcoming. Love going here!

Small eatery with inside and outside dining. It's at the rear of a gas station/convenience store. I almost missed it....glad I didn't. The fried shrimp was very flavorful and good and the salads were a great compliment. We enjoyed it.

What a welcoming restaurant!! We arrived around 6:30 on a Thursday evening and were welcomed warmly. We were a party of 11 so we knew not having a reservation, we would have to wait. They have a very nice and comfortable waiting area plus a bar. We opted for a drink while and to wait at the front of the restaurant. We were seated fairly quickly for such a busy place. The service was great, the food even better. I highly recommend the TNT shrimp tacos.

We had to stop coming here for 2-1/2 years bc of COVID-19 and bc I was going thru chemo/radiation. However, we've ALWAYS have had GREAT SERVICE, EVERYONE FRIENDLY!! Yes, there were times we had to wait awhile but they had a sign about being patient bc of short staffed. We also were told that from our waiter/waitress. PEOPLE NEED TO BE MORE UNDERSTANDING. THESE PEOPLE WORK HARD. PLUS, WE ALL HAVE OUR BAD DAYS TO. AND A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO WORK ANYMORE. SOME PEOPLE PULL DOUBLE SHIFTS SO LET'S BE HUMBLE AND KIND. THE COVE IS AN AWESOME PLACE TO EAT. THE BEST FRIES AND CHEESE STEAK SANDWICH 😋.I also think the managers have been very KIND, HONEST of trying to make you customers that have complained, happy with fixing the problem. We've NEVER had poor/bad service here. However, PLEASE if you had bad service once, give them another chance. AWESOME FOOD. AWESOME PLACE. GOD BLESS EVERYONE 🤗 WE LOVE THIS PLACE

We had a great lunch at The Cove. Food was solid (I ordered a build your own burger with bacon and cheese). Their curly fries are perfect. My husband is a big fan of their Old Bay dry rub wings. Our server, Jasmine, was very attentive and sweet! Can't wait for warm weather so we can relax outside on their patio with a cool drink in the evenings.

Out boating and enjoying the fine weather. Stopped into the The Cove to get bite. Reasonable prices & large portions, and live entertainment (Reckless Brigade) that had a great sound that really added to the ambiance. Well done.

My husband and I went out on our 1st date night since we had our daughter a year and a half ago. We wanted some good food. I am not from Mineral, Va. We are from Pittsburgh, Pa. So of course I read reviews and this restaurant was the top 2. I was a little skeptical at first bc it’s connect to a gas station. But honestly this was one of theeee best food I’ve had in a long time. We got crab dip and it was amazing. I got shrimp tacos (pictured below) and my husband got crab Mac and cheese. We love everything! We sat in the bar area but not at the bar. The bust girl gave us a menu right away and as soon as she did the bartender was asking us about our drinks and food. She had half a bar full and other tables but made sure we were good and always had drinks. She was very good at multitasking. All workers seemed like hardwokers. Which is hard to find nowadays. But anyways I’d recommend to anyone.

We went on a Friday for lunch. We sat on the deck with our dog and the staff brought him a bowl of water.
They were clearly short-staffed but the waitress did her best to keep up. It wasn't a problem.
We had the fish and chips and the crab flatbread. I was surprised they used mahi mahi for the fried fish, but it was really nice that it held together and wasn't a soggy piece of fish. The flatbread was really good. You could taste the crab and it wasn't hidden under a bunch of cheese.

After a long day of being on the water. This was great place to come too. The drinks where good and the food was hot. The atmosphere was enjoyable. The hospitality made my wife and I feel welcomed and at home. I would come back to here again.
