This place has such amazing scenic trails and equestrian trails to check out. It's County maintained and they do an amazing job. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You don't even hear the vehicles. If you want an escape to nature without driving too far, this is the place to go. They seem to be building some new pavilions or bathroom structures the day I visited so looking forward to the new work. They've got a really cool kayak. Launching ramp as well as a fishing pier to take the kids on.

Wow. This place is so peaceful and beautiful. I was the only person on the trails when I came and it was magical. There are restrooms (no sink) and picnic areas as well.

The area offers a near picture perfect way to see and walk through the natural wildlife of the Florida lakes. The area features equestrian access and two trails. Enjoy the view on the banks of the lakes as you can sit at multiple benches places thought the park that give you amazing pictures and views of the lake.

We recently discovered this place, what a hidden gem. It's a gorgeous location! There is a fishing pier, and a separate "wildlife viewing" pier. There are bathrooms that were very clean as well as picnic tables. We went on a short hike around the loop, it was nice. Some of the coolest trees! Came across some camping spots out there too, plan to come back and check those out soon!

I love this little nature preserve. It’s usually quiet and not very busy during the week. There’s a nice trail and two piers (only one for fishing) to walk out on the water with amazing sunset views. There’s pit toilets, BBQ grills, and picnic tables available as well. Lots of beautiful opportunities for photos as well

This trail is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. There is not overcrowded at all as there were very few people on a Sunday morning.

Easy trail and pretty scenery. Not much coverage in some parts so it’s best during a cloudy day or early in the day. There are a few benches and tables scattered for picnics.

Great place to picnic. Walking trails are fantastic. Saw quite a few ducks, an airboat, and a few fishing boats.

January 2023- Really what is it about NY bagels? Why do they taste so much better than any other place?
I had this place bookmarked for a while (2+ since the last time I was in NYC due to the pandemic) and was finally able to check it off the list!
First off, they have online ordering which is absolutely great and convenient. We were walking around near the Vessel and didn't realize how close it was. There was space to pull off to the side of the sidewalk and walk in to get our order. Because we had just placed our order and didn't know it was literally right around the block, we did wait a bit. The owner I think, an older gentleman greeted us when we came and we told him we did online ordering. He checked on it but told us they were still working on it. That was fine since it was a Sunday morning and we weren't in any rush. It was interesting to just people watch and we saw both local regulars and tourists come in and out.
This place is known for their rainbow bagels so I definitely had to get that for the pics. I chose a lox salmon cream cheese spread and it was AMAZING! So creamy and the bagel was perfectly light and airy in the inside but with a nice crunch on the outside.
I recommend this place- quick service, convenient, reasonable prices and quality bagels!

Great trail to take the pups! There were lots of trees and benches on the lakeside trail. Will definitely be back!
