Love this place. A semi-wooded area, and the building itself is basically a bungalow. Old Miami style. I take the little girl I nanny here ALL the time. If you have kids, be sure to check out their storytimes, they're phenomenal. Stories, songs with hand motions, and BUBBLES. Highly recommend!

This library branch is small, clean and quiet. It is located in the heart of Coconut Grove opposite of Peacock Park. The people here have always been helpful and nice. They have children's section with great story time. The place has computers, and it is air-conditioned.

An awesome branch. Small but very typical of quaint Coconut Grove architecture. Rather like a treehouse, with a veranda that appears to go almost all the way around. Inside there are windows and louvers that surround and vegetation beyond. My kids call it the lizard library... But fear not, all the lizards are outside enjoying the fresh air.

This is a small, cozy library, with great reading areas! When I arrived, I noticed they had a book sale going on, and I immediately saw, and grabbed, two titles I'd been wanting to buy for several months now -- "Peter and the Starcatchers", and "Peter and the Shadow Thieves", both co-authored by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. These are retellings of "Peter Pan", one of my favorite childhood fairy tales! I couldn't believe it! The library was selling hardcovers for $2.00 each, and I wanted both books, but only had exactly $2.00 in change. That's because I haven't used real money to pay for stuff in the loooongest time; I use my credit card for EVERYTHING, and I buy mostly online. But at these library book sales, you gotta pay cash. They won't take credit cards. Fortunately, a very nice librarian there told me it was okay, that she would take my $2.00 in quarters, dimes, and nickels, for BOTH books!! THAT absolutely made my day, and I told her so! I mean, these were BRAND NEW hardcovers! They didn't look used AT ALL!! And they were each signed, too!! "Starcatchers" was signed only by Dave Barry, while "Shadow Thieves" was signed by both Barry and Pearson. I could NOT believe my good luck! I mean, these books were just sitting in that library, waiting for me to come along and snap them up! And, thanks to that nice librarian, who understands how a bookworm feels when coming across such unexpected good fortune, I was able to get not one, but BOTH books!!! I paid for them, found a comfortable seat right near a wall outlet so I could keep my cell phone charged, and settled jn to begin reading "Starcatchers" I spent a couple of hours reading. When I started getting a little hungry, I walked around looking for a restaurant. I finally found one, had lunch there, walked back to the library, and spent a few more happy hours reading! By the way, they have several wall outlets conveniently located throughout the reading area, so you can take your laptop and hook it up. They also have library computers. So yeah, I'll be back to this library in the future!!
