Satisfying soul food on a Sunday. Ordered a take out veggie plate meal. Health is a value to me and this was a great meat-less meal was priced under $10. My veggies (fried okra, black eyed peas, greens, and Lima beans) were very well seasoned and full of flavor!!. I was surprised I didn’t even need any hot sauce. The hostess. Taylor (I learned there are two) was very welcoming and friendly. The hospitality here is worth visiting in this quaint Dade City town. If your driving down 301, consider slowing down to stop in for a meal which you will not regret. I was advised they are extending their hours even later to accommodate more folks. The fact they are open on a Sunday make it worth stopping in for brunch or lunch especially after a Sunday church service. I made the visit from neighboring Zephyrhills and I will come back to try the fried cabbage.

Meatloaf and mashed potatoes and collard greens were excellent! Ordered grilled haddock to take home to wife it was good too!

Just moved to Dade City recently and just had a pleasant surprise for lunch today. The locals eat here so it must be good...and it was. The food portions are great and we had a very friendly waitress. She seemed to know almost everyone by name. We will definitely be back. FYI only open for breakfast and lunch.

Wa traveling through Florida on business and tried this place! It was so comfy and staff is very friendly!
The food was delicious. It was breakfast hours however I was allowed to order from the lunch menu which was great for me!
My husband had breakfast and I had grilled chicken sandwich with fries!

We had a great experience here. The best part was listening to our waitress Chrissy interact with the customers, she is so friendly and fun. It made the atmosphere so comfortable, like you're at a friend's house!!

Had a wonderful breakfast here, and the service was absolutely outstanding. Talk about total comfort food at it's best. I highly recommend giving The Black Eyed Pea a try, you will not be disappointed. And you will love the girls that take care if you. And they are Biker friendly!!!

This place is a jewel! The epitome of what I look for when I'm traveling around Florida working. I saw their sign and I just had to stop in.

It was Friday, and on Fridays they seem to have some fish specials. I had the haddock and it was cooked perfectly, it's been a long time since I really enjoyed fish! Everything that I saw served to the other guests looked phenomenal! If my belly was big enough I would have tried it all ;-)

You definitely have to stop by and see this one if you're in the area. Be prepared though, it's very cozy and the people are very friendly! Being a stranger, a traveler, it's refreshing to be treated like I was one of their regulars.

Holy moly the biscuits and gravy will make you wanna slap yo mama!! FYI - unless you can stuff your face like you're in a 4th of July hot dog eatin' contest, or as big as my brother has gotten from eating their phenomenal food I'd suggest getting the half order! Huge biscuits! The whole order takes up the entire plate! Fantastic service, super friendly waitresses, and a small town, country feel. Absolutely, positively, without a doubt, would recommend - and eat there again!!

What a gem of a place in Dade City! Very welcoming, great service and the food was DELICIOUS!! One of their sides is fried cabbage (who knew this was a thing?! First time trying it!) and it was soooo good!! We ordered the meatloaf and the pork chops and both were amazing! I ordered the fried green tomatoes and they were yummy! Everything fresh, made from scratch and delicious! We love to try new places, we are anti-chain so we love to support local and this restaurant did not disappoint! Run, don't walk! 😃

Loved it. I'm African American and the atmosphere for that type of restaurant was SUPER Appeasing. Everyone was very friendly, professional , cordial, and kind. Great service and they even joked a little. The food was EXCELLENT 👌👍 BIG Country fried pork chops. And the black eyed peas......???? ...You better get there before they run out!

I love the southern comfort food served here. Waitresses were very polite and helpful. It was my only 2nd time there. I really like this place. I've also ordered online as well. Just all around good food, affordable prices and good services . PSA never order and use Uber Eats. It took about an hour for someone to take the delivery and deliver it. But the restaurant is awesome.

OMG the biscuits are amazing!!! I had the biscuits and gravy combo. It was amazing. Sausage links and grits. Hubby got the corn beef hash with home fries and of course a biscuit.. All was so yummy. Coffee was amazing and our cups were kept full. The staff was so friendly and always checking if we needed anything. Great place, highly recommend, but make sure you get those biscuits!!!

This is a great place in Dade City! The service and the food was amazing. A real local experience with that hometown feeling. The server was super friendly and we enjoyed listening and talking with her. Anytime we are back we will make sure to stop by and get breakfast or lunch!

Amazing breakfast spot and I’m obsessed with breakfast so I know a winner when I taste one! I definitely will be back! I might try the lunch next time since the breakfast is so delicious!

Breakfast eggs cooked perfectly,bacon crisp, biscuits large and moist. Can't go wrong. My buddies ordered pancakes they were the size of the plate. Just a smilling staff with good food

My husband and I pass this restaurant when we visit family in Tampa and today we finally had time to stop! The food was delish, very reasonably priced and our waitress was an absolute HOOT!!! Our new favorite place for breakfast! We felt like family!!!!

No frills, down right darn good down home cooking!!! Home made, fresh, and friendly. Small, venerable, and busy because it is favorite of locals. Open 7 days a week but only open for dinner on Friday with an all you can eat fish fry. It needs a face lift but don't let that dissuade you from a great experience
