A must if you are visiting Coconut Grove. You can walk through what’s left of Miami’s Natural Vegetation. Have a guided tour and take great pictures.

Beautiful site and setting magically tucked away right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Coconut Grove. Awesome for events and concerts.

The trail area and park as a whole are definitely much smaller than expected but still clean and a nice spot to walk through. :) And it had a small ocean(?) view at the end! It does require a small admission fee or some kind of donation I believe

A hidden gem?
I think so😀
We were looking for a nice place just to relax and find Some peace and quiet from the busy streets of Coconut Grove on a Sunday afternoon.
Bingo!
This park may be small but it’s absolutely full of amazing features.
The grass is super soft and fresh the views of the water brings in fresh air and beautiful sunlight.
Volunteers who stand in front are always nice and sweet.

Nice little place to get away from the snoot snoot areas nearby to see a cool house...a good view of the bay and to just chill for a sec.

We took the tour of the house with the nicest lady named Ami today. She knew so may details of the family, the development of the property, even to the history of the builders. If you are visiting go by the park office next to the house and inquire about a guided tour, we've been two other times but never took the tour. We were all so pleased we did today the house was incredible!

Awesome place to relax and go back in history and understand how they lived at that time without AC. Loved the library and the kind, knowledgeable staff. Worths the visit.

Here's some Coconut Grove history, this home built in 1891 is still standing... The grounds are beautifully maintained... Closes promptly at 5 pm, so get there by 3:30 at the latest so you have time to read all the cool stuff, and feel like you were there...

The Barnacle Historic State Park is a good place that you can go and enjoyed. Since the first moment that you walk in you can feel the peace and freshest of the place. Even though there is no air condition inside the house you can enjoy your visits. It’s one of the older houses in the city. I really recommend this place.

Ok this is a real find. If you need a place to calm your senses while in Coconut Grove, take the tiny path back to the water and sit on comfy patio chairs under good shade trees. Donation entry fee so add more $ if you can. This is a gem and worth your extra donation money. Good for kids or anyone who needs a little break.

Really great (short) tour and so worth the time and money (only a few bucks per person!). Amazing man who left his mark on Coconut Grove!

This little state park is filled with history! It’s great to come relax and enjoy views of Biscayne Bay from the oldest house in Miami-Dade but it’s ESPECIALLY great for history buffs.

Come learn all about the early days of Coconut Grove and the home’s original owner Commodore Ralph Munroe.

I highly recommend getting the $3 tour of the inside of the house. There’s two floors & everything inside is as it originally was back in the late 1800s and 1900s. Btw the only way inside is with a tour guide.

Fun fact: you’ll hear about the commodore’s first wife Eva Munroe. Her grave site is nearby! Go visit after. It’s located beside the library across Peacock Park. It’s also the oldest marked gravesite in the county.
