R Bar

Really cool place we like to come to every time we come to the beach. Bartenders are awesome. Music is usually pretty good. Oysters Rockefeller were a little different than I'm used to. Wasn't prepared for the big thick piece of bacon on the top. Next time I'll just go with the raw.

Food and service were great. This is absolutely a dive bar and if you don't realize that before you go there, I can't help you. But the food was AMAZING. We did crab legs and rib deal. Drinks were cheapppp. Avoid the tourist traps in TI and go here.

10/10 for me. It is a bar. Has table seating inside and outside. The Ceasar salad was good. Homemade Ceasar dressing. The Onion ring and fries were fresh. The Pepperoni, Bacon, and sausage pizza was so good. The Medium, BBQ, and Garlic parmesan wings were 10/10. Service was amazing. I bet ppl don't come for the food, but more ppl need to.

Spectacular crab legs and onion rings! Prices seem a bit steep for regular meals, but the food is super fresh and made to order! Small restaurant, but family friendly and super kind workers.

After the most recent trip to R Bar, I’m hesitant to write a review. The restaurant was completely full, waited for 29 minutes to get a table. I have to say, it was well worth the wait. I promise, anything you order, you will enjoy. We had the Blackened Salmon Salad and the Prime Rib (only available Fri & Sat). Outstanding as usual. The piece of Salmon was fresh and huge, cooked to perfection. The Prime Rib was outstanding as usual, I paid 3X the cost on a recent trip to CA. Don’t expect any frills, and be prepared to wait a while for food when it’s busy. The food is great, the prices are great, and the beer is ice cold. I was hesitant to review because my local favorite restaurant is so popular, I now can’t get a table. It’s a testament to this beach gem

Very low key atmosphere but high key service and food. Waitress was excellent on helping us Iowans with their menu. Had a good supper, planning on breakfast there in the morning. We had a Waitress originally from Kentucky that was just the best.

The R Bar is a hidden jem. It is just a few blocks off busy Gulf Boulevard. It has a "Cheers" like atmosphere and a friendly staff that makes you feel like one of the locals. Good food a good prices.

Don't judge a book by its cover..Great Wings and great deal 20/$14.The beer was cold & Sandwiches were very tasty. The staff was nice & remember you are near the beach & not fancy but very good food. We will be stopping in again.

R Bar virgins. Party of 10. Emily did a great job keeping everybody happy, there drinks full, and food ordered and served. We had quite the variety. From frog legs and wings for some starters, then the fried chicken special and I had the ribs! And the green beans=YUM! So much to eat we have leftovers to take on our excursion tomorrow! Everyone indulged in the crab legs! Everyone totally LOVED them. Would definitely recommend as well as return for another visit!

Ken was amazing. Wanted raw oysters and Grouper sandwich, they were absolutely the best. Will definitely visit in the future. Loved the atmosphere!!

Had the club sandwich and couldn't even get my whole mouth around it! My husband had the grouper dinner and it was excellent! He let me try it..lol . Will definitely go back....drinks are good..not weak or watered down. Good prices and service is great!

The bartenders were friendly, the hamburger patty was perfect size in diameter and thickness, not to mention delicious! The prices were surprisingly very reasonable since it's so close to the beach I expected it to be a lot higher. The atmosphere is friendly, but not anything special.

Awesome little place. The whole staff was fantastic. Buddha will keep you in stitches. He was so fantastic. All you can eat crab legs on Thursday will not disappoint. Must goto if you like crab legs. Ask for Buddha!

Delicious breakfasts served promptly, hot and precisely as ordered. Amy was our bartender/server who welcomed us with her friendly smile and followed up with efficient service.

Basically a small tavern with great food. Service was terrific and the crowd mostly local which was nice. Had the Tuesday all you can eat snow crab. Really enjoyed it and every refill was served with a smile. The quality was good, fresh and good size legs with great texture. While can't yet speak personally for the other food, selections arriving at other tables appeared to be of good quality and also served with a smile. This is a great little neighborhood tavern.

Fun time after Sandinh Ovations. I wish I had gotten our servers name she was very good. The blackened shrimp, grouper sandwich & grouper nuggets were so good.

8 -7-23 kitchen is currently being remodeled .so expect a scaled down menu.they did say they will have a food truck with a grill and anticipate the remodel to take 2 weeks.
Can't go wrong with a cheesesteak.

Had entertainment which was great. Good food, busy place. Staff was great. Working their tail off!
