Update - still wonderful. The owner is clearly passionate about the food and sharing that with guests.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner with friends. The food was excellent, the atmosphere nice, and the service as positive and helpful as we could have asked. It is the sort of place where you could dress up a bit if you wanted to, but most people had on jeans.

I was so happy to enjoy wonderful meal, cocktails, and an evening at Sugo. I lived in Johns Creek for 25+ years and always loved this restaurant. The owners and staff make you feel they are hosting you like family. Family you like LOL. I’ve been downtown Atlanta for six years and had the opportunity to eat at Sugo this evening. It was everything I remember and perfect! The food was spectacular, drinks perfect, Mr & Mrs C’s engagement with guests spot on. Sugo is a gem and I can’t wait to go back. Be sure to order some meatballs to go, you’ll be so happy you did. They are delicious and like nothing else.

Started off with Meatballs and special Flatbread they were both great plus the complimentary bread😉, Ordered Chicken Parm I would've prefer it on a different pasta but overall it was deliciously 😋 ended the night with Tiramisu. I would be coming back to try other dishes.

Cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant. Our favorite place to go for a nice dinner out. From the food to the wine selection, you won’t be disappointed. Some of our favorites are the Cannelloni (I had it the first time we came and now I can’t order anything else, it’s so good!), Aunt Lena’s Chicken, Bacon-Wrapped Dates, and Meatballs. The staff is friendly, the wait is short (although we usually make a reservation), and the wine and cocktails are amazing as well. Love, love, love this place!

My husband and I went here tonight for our anniversary and wow!!! They made us feel so very special. Katie was our server and was absolutely phenomenal. The food was AMAZING. The wine was also so good. I can’t wait to come back. We had the butternut squash ravioli, cannelloni, and veal. All of it was 10/10.

Drinks and Dinner was delicious! We were treated like family at this restaurant, highly recommend.

Well be prepared to spend some money when you come here but it is worth every dollar. We had the hangar steak and the fresh fish. Wow, both were amazing. Finished with a cappuccino and tiramisu. So fabulous.
The staff made the dinner even better with very attentive service without over doing it. The owner even came out to present the specials and tell a little about the history of the restaurant and some of the dishes.

Had the perfect wedding with our family and friends. Everything went so well. Nancy, Julia, Mr. C and the staff were always so delightful to work with. Would highly recommend. Loved and enjoyed every moment! ❤💖💕

Servers were awesome, and the management came to my table a few times during my dining experience and they were so nice. This is a movie type Italian place for sure. Everything was just lovely. The found was very good. I think I had to get some rest after eating because that meal had me tired fam. Will be coming back. If you’re trying to go on a date this places passes the vibe check.

We celebrated our anniversary here and the staff was lovely about it. We got two small glasses of champagne and a candle and they congratulated us. I always appreciate when the staff is so attentive and nice—sadly it’s very rare nowadays. Also there was no loud music or anything that would’ve made it impossible to keep a conversation going.
The restaurant has a romantic atmosphere, the downside however is that it was so dark that I’ve seen many people using the flashlight of their phones to be able to read the menu. I also like to see what I’m eating so I’d have liked it better if the place had been brighter. The cocktails were amazing—we had the Apple Spicer and the Walnut Old Fashioned and both were great (I liked the Apple Spicer better). We had the Spanish Octopus and the Arancini—the Arancini were heavenly, the octopus was also good. Then we had the branzino which was a daily special and the Eggplant Parmesan—we liked both, they tasted amazing and had different textures and interesting flavor combinations. The only thing is that as our waiter—Roy, who was absolutely amazing and helpful—explained the branzino to us, we thought that it would be a bigger piece of fish but it wasn’t. Anyhow, it was very good. For dessert we had the Tiramisu and the Cannoli—they were good but I wouldn’t say exceptional.
I was a bit surprised that there were no pizzas on the menu and overall I thought there would be more traditional Italian dishes (lasagna, carbonara, etc.). Nevertheless, we had a lovely night and we really liked the food there, and the staff was super attentive and courteous. Can’t wait to go back to try more deliciousness.

I’m thinking that most dishes are a bit on the very high calorie score. But very tasty. Sat at the bar and the service was quite good. It can be a bit noisy especially if there are young children who are not happy and vocal about what’s making them unhappy. On a prior visit we were in a dining room which was very comfortable.

Food was great value for the price and the atmosphere. The owner was great and checked in on us multiple times.
The calamari was soggy and greasy, and the breading did not adhere. Would not recommend the calamari.

My bf and I celebrated our four year anniversary so we wanted to find good Italian restaurant. I’m glad I try this place. Everything we got was great! Flavor, fresh you name it. I had nothing to complain about. Service was great. I forgot her name but loved her vibe. They gave they own parking space nothing to worry about. It’s a must try ! We are most definitely gonna come back and try different dishes.

i had my 21st birthday here ! they were the best and my family loved everything too. All the staff including managers came to personally greet us … really made us feel at home. foood was soooo good.. they explained the menu very well too. highly recommend! best birthday i ever had❤

Dined here for a company dinner. Service was great from the start between the hostess, waiting staff, and owner. Awesome selection of N/A beverages for those who choose to abstain. Food was of course amazing. Had the Bolognese but the dish of the night was the Cannelloni. Everyone at the table loved it!

Lora took care of us and was so kind and patient with all of our menu questions. The food was delicious we will definitely be returning. Very nice dining experience.

Went here for a business dinner and was very surprised at how great the food was. We had a large party so we were able to sample several of the dishes. We had the Meatball which is supposedly Food Network famous. It was great. The Spanish Octopus was a pleasant surprise. It was very good. They smoke it on the Big Green Egg so it had some great flavor to it. The flat breads were fantastic. For my main course I had the scallops. They were great and had some pasta to go along with them. The deserts were very good too. I had the bourbon bread pudding and it was fantastic. Great little Italian restaurant with a very good ambiance. Will def take the wife back here.
