Belen de la Cruz - Empanadas & Pastries - Johns Creek

Have been there twice now this week! I have had the beef and cheese, chicken, and chicken and cheese empanadas and they were all delicious! I have also had the lemon mouse (OMG, so delicious), the ricotta tart, the lemon bite, and the dulce flan. All of it was amazing....in fact, so amazing that I brought a friend today and she loved it too! I'm hoping for a special one day of a "brisket" empanada...just sounds delicious!

The staff was very nice, I placed the order for pick up over the phone, it takes about 10 minutes to make. Really worth it

I actually saw this place on Fox5 news as a spotlight segment. So me and my daughter came about two weeks ago and the empanadas we're so delicious and very filling. They definitely didn't taste like the regular empanadas I'm used to having, these were way better and plenty of flavor. I love the fact that there are so many to choose from. The restaurant and atmosphere was very nice. Will definitely add this cute spot to my Favorites list💜😍💜😍

The emapanads here are delicious! They are definitely packed! The size is perfect for the offered meals (2 or 3). Husband got the tres leches cake and coconut bar and LOVED them both!

OMG this is such a cute little hidden gem! I noticed the sign and thought I'd just check it their empañadas. But they also had a bunch of yummy looking pastries.

I ordered a couple of empanadas and desserts to go and my favorite was the caprese. I didn't care much for the chicken but I guess that's a personal taste. On the dessert side I got their lemon mousse and white chocolate cheesecake (filled with dulce de leche!!) and both times I thought I died and went to heaven. I also like the smaller size of the products. I will definitely go back for a coffee/pastry treat.

Came here on a whim without any expectations and was blown away. The empanadas are so good and reminded me of the ones I had in Miami! I had the spinach and cheese and that one was my favorite. They made mine fresh for me and came out less than 5 minutes later hot and very fresh. Very reasonable prices and very clean and cute on the inside.

The empanadas here are much better than the ones at La Buena Gente in Decatur.

Adorable Argentine bakery that specializes in delicious empanadas and Argentine desserts like alfajores. We got a dozen empanadas that varied from beef, chicken, mushroom, bacon, onion, ham & cheese, and butternut squash. All of the empanadas were delicious fresh out of the oven and I really liked the pastry dough that was not hard shelled but more flaky. The fillings were all delicious. I also appreciate how the alfajores are filled with dulce de leches to order. The buttery shortbread was a wonderful sandwich for the dulce. Will def make Belen a must when passing through Alpharetta.

Initial review over a year ago:Baked with heart/love is right! I finally made it here after noticing the sign a while back. Belen de la Cruz is an empanadas fan's heaven! It's a nice, clean, bright space serving several options of savory empanadas and cute little desserts. I ordered a variety of 5 (Spinach, Cheese & Beef, and Onion) but 2-3 are definitely a nice portion and they are all labeled as shown in the pics. They were hot, flavorful, delicious and full of the ingredients with no air pockets inside. I can't really name a favorite because they were all really good!
I also got two little desserts as well but I'm too full to eat them now...LOL
I'll definitely be back for more!

A friend recommended this place since I am Argentine and lives in Switzerland I miss a good empanada. These are the best empanadas I’ve had! They are super fresh and taste incredibly good!
I tried the beef, the spinach and the chicken cheesy. One better than the other! The sweets were also like you would have them back home. Home made alfajores, rogelito, marquise, chocotorta, coconut and dulce de leche squares…. Brownies, all incredible!
If you are a coffee lover this is also your place, I had a latte macchiato and it was sooo good! Best coffee I had in the US so far. Place is super clean, service very nice. We ended up taking a couple dozen home for dinner along with some sweets for dessert. You have to try this place if you are in Atlanta.

I went in today with my girlfriend for dinner, and we both absolutely loved it! Everything from interior to the food looked and tasted amazing!
I have never tasted empanadas so good, The pastries are also out of this world.

These empanadas are so tasty and also filled up. Worth your $$. I was looking for an asian dessert shop but this came up, so now I am able to taste argentinian food. The dessert with caramel was so yummy. I wanted to try that cake w caramel but said that they were out. I will come back again. Thank you for the friendly service, Cecilia😊

Absolutely delicious!! Good selection of empanadas. Our favorites included beef with cheese, caprese, and ham and cheese. Quality ingredients, authentic taste and truly a y meal. Recommend 2-3 empanadas per person for a meal. Don't forget dessert- unbelievable! I'll be dreaming of our after lunch treats for weeks. Highly recommend for a change from the usual lunch options.

Just delicious! They were hot and crispy. The fillings are fantastic and everything tastes like it was made with love. The labels toasted into the empanadas are really useful, especially if you order several types at once. We were munching on them in the car on the way home lol Can't wait to go back!
These are not boring or dry like the ones from most places around here!

Loved these empanadas so much! The ham & cheese filling was my favorite. My first time trying Argentinian empanadas and it was not a disappointment. The shop is designed and decorated so beautifully and hospitably; it makes you feel so welcomed. Looking forward to trying their cakes and pastries :)

Empanadas were great! Having some of them "pre-cooked" is a plus and was a great option as well 🤗. Highly recommend it!

Not only does Belen make amazing empanadas (the caprese is wow!) but she is such a joy to be around. I loved all of her pastries but I will be thinking of the empanadas daily. Give her a try for your next event!

Oh man these empanadas were crazy good! I loved that they had a combo meal as well! Reasonably priced for the quality. My only complaint is that the Dulce de Leche cake seemed over refrigerated so it was a bit tough. I will have to try the tres leches cake the next time!

Best empanadas in Johns Creek easily if not the best in the Atlanta metro area. The empanadas are made to order instead of pre-made like other restaurants. I loved the cheesy beef empanada along with the dulce de leche pastry.

When they open up in West Midtown I'll go to that location as Johns Creek is not a fun drive from Druid Hills
