Despite what others think, Zachary is an amazing school. They only hire the best teachers to give your child a great education, assuming they are willing to try hard. That being said, I think there are standards that have been developed because of their accomplishments over the past decade. I think eventually the expectations will get too high, and students will not be able to deliver, putting ZHS into a decline. Other than this, discipline has been improved on the administration side of things with the new principal. Athletics are always great, atmosphere is great, and there isn't a better college prep high school in the area.

10/10 would recommend to all of my relatives that are having babies. In 14 years I am hoping that they will take my advice and ship their kids off as I did. Truly wonderful atmosphere of strict obedience and silent solitude. Perfect, prim, and proper. Just the place I want. Security ranks better than that of most prisons.

Excellent academics and wonderful facilities. The teachers are very personable and clearly care, but the discipline needs major improvement. Multiple fights are breaking out a day, students bringing weapons to school, with little consequence (9 days in the discipline center where the students does their class work). Administration is too concerned with trying to be friends with the students. If someone asks me if they should enroll their student at Zachary High School, my advice would be no unless they get their discipline up to date. Teenagers will inevitably fight and rebel but the number of incidences will only increase when administration and the school board won't do anything major to correct the problem.

Great academics and excellent teachers!! The administration needs to worry about discipline and not being all buddy buddy with the students, multiple fights break out a day or drug deals happen on school grounds, they mainly get on to students about holding hands instead of drug deals or fights, if anyone wants to enroll their child in Zachary High, i would say no unless their discipline is up to date!

Horrible! The teachers and staff turn a blind eye to bullying, often punishing the child being bullied for telling their parents about incidents. Rude, snobbish behavior by staff. Tried to say my nephew had asbergers syndrome, to place him in the special needs classes. That kid is so smart, and has an incredible memory, loves sharing and talking about things he is passionate about; computers, books, cars. Typically teenager; but because he is mercilessly bullied, by both other students and teachers too, he has become introverted. These people need a reality check, outside of high school their opinions matter about as much as a grain of salt. Will be looking into home schooling next year. Dont enroll here, what's on paper about this place is a lie. Horrible!

Unless you're one of the elite parents who are able to be at the school volunteering 100% of your time, your child will be left behind. Lots of bullying, drug use, and sex in the bathrooms. Also, if there is a chance that your child may bring down the schools #1 ranking, they will be bullied into leaving by staff/faculty.

I attended a basketball game there and the people were rude and unwelcoming. It was senior night. There was a player from the JV game hurt on the floor at the end of the game, and they did not even have the decency and respect to wait until the child got off the floor to start their senior night. They began calling their seniors on the floor while the player was still laid out on the floor and could not get up. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. The parents were rude. Their children (young children) were cussing at the concession stand. I was just absolutely appalled at the behavior of the people in this school.
