The Rack House Kitchen Wine Whiskey

The sage lamb gnocchi was melt in your mouth delicious! Wine & Old-fashioned were fabulous. Our waitress was wonderful too! Celebrated our wedding anniversary and it was delightful. The only reason it wasn't 5/5 was due to everything being in the main area...no booths or quiet corner seating.

We recently visited to celebrate a birthday; our family had such a great meal and overall experience that we made a reservation to return the following week.

We brought a very hungry pre-teen, so our server, Maggie, suggested we order for her right away. Our Granddaughter got her food while we were all enjoying our appetizer of Crab stuffed Pretzel, delicious, and specialty cocktails. Our food arrived shortly after our appetizer was devoured and everything was just so good. Maggie, was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. She gave great recommendations and had a vast knowledge of the drink and food menus.

This place is highly recommended and we'll keep coming back and asking for Maggie. Keep up the great work!

Hidden gem here! A little pricey, but definitely worth it! Fantastic food and great service. They somehow balance the atmosphere so you would be fine in jeans or nicer attire and not feel out of place either way and the food belongs in a fancy Vegas restaurant. Good variety and delicious...one of the best steaks ive ever eaten hands down! Oh and I forgot to mention the bourbon selection (along with the other drinks), which is the best I've found in the area so far! Will definitely be back here again!

We just tried The Rack House for the first time and loved it! The food was delicious (the house salad was SO good!), the service was superb, and we loved the atmosphere. Great location and plenty of parking, too.

We had reservations last night for 11 people and had outstanding service! The bar was serving tasty drinks but my favorite is the wine. The food came out hot and delicious. I love how it is decorated for the holidays too. Great place to get together with a group of people and actually be able to have conversations and not have to talk over loud music or TVs going. Great night and would recommend over and over again.

Wow! If you're looking for a great wine and bourbon experience with exceptional food and super friendly staff, this is the place. We were traveling through the area from Arizona. Stopped in and had a fantastic evening. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stop here again when passing through!

Great food and drinks, especially the Bourbon! Had Beef Tenderloin which melted in your mouth, wife had crab cakes, also delicious. I had Manhattan and wife had an adult slushy , which she loved. Owner came over to wish me a happy birthday, very friendly folks work there. We'll be back again!

EXTREMELY HELPFUL WITH ALLERGIES. My brother recommended this place to us & we ended up there for an anniversary dinner. We loved that it was a casual setting with fantastic food. Our waitress, Ariana, took exceptional care of us, especially when she found out about my husband’s food allergies. She answered every question with care & patience & even made multiple trips back to the kitchen to ask the chef about specific ingredients. The chef even came out to double check something with us before preparing our food! We’ve never had a restaurant experience quite like it! And the food was SO good. Definitely recommend you check this place out!

Had an excellent dinner with my wife tonight. Lamb gnocchi was great. Could have used more gnocchi. Cocktails were great and the whiskey menu was off the charts. Great service and an enjoyable experience. Will be coming back for sure.

We came here for the first time on a very cold & somewhat snowy night in January. Our experience was 4.7 stars. The food was great and our server (can't recall her name unfortunately) was fantastic. Highly recommend the crab stuffed pretzels. I had the salmon. It was cooked good (only slightly over). Wild rice was really good and broccoli was good. My wife had the burger which was huge and also very good. Whiskey/bourbon/scotch selection is off the charts. Wine list is good - has many wines that are not the same old, same old. I had a glass of the French unoaked Chardonnay and the Petite Syrah wine of the month (something ghost). Both were very good and I recommend. Overall the prices are comparable with higher end restaurants - everywhere is high. The cigar lounge is an interesting feature. Wasn't sure how I felt about it being in view and some overly casual (one borderline grungy) patrons walking past our table. Looking past that (as I do like cigars), the only thing that lowered this by 0.3 stars were the lack of situational awareness of the hostesses. The first one seemed a little confused when we came in and gave our name - stared at some paper for a bit (we had an advance reservation). We came early and all of the tables were open. She did not ask if we had a preference and sat us in the very middle of the restaurant. A couple of other parties came in after us. It was a slow night due to the weather. A second hostess sat another party nearly on top of us when there were many more tables available allowing for more spatial comfort. I literally felt as though I was in that tables conversation - could hear every word - as the place was on the quiet side that night. And at one point my elbow bumped their server who had to wedge in between me and their table. I know this is minor, but I own multiple food establishments and appreciate detailed feedback even on the little things we can improve upon. Other than this, they crushed it and we will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

It was our first date night with our baby and they were so nice and accommodating with how busy it was. The food is so great every time. The staff is wonderful.

I have really only been here for Christmas parties. Never had dinner here.

That said, the food is always good. High quality ingredients. The service is ALWAYS AMAZING! The parties are less than 30 adults but that's still a lot of people and work for one server. Still, I've never had anything to complain about.

The atmosphere is nice. Very relaxed and cozy.

10/10 would go again! No one else is allowed to gank our Christmas Party spot.

I had the Sea Bass special and I’d was delicious. My wife had the Mustard Salmon and it’s her favorite dish. We have always enjoyed Rack Houses soups. They are always great creations. The bourbon selection is top notch. They have bourbon you just won’t see anywhere else in Missouri.

My girl friend & I both had the Salmon. It was excellent! Cooked perfectly! I also enjoyed a Sazerac prior to dinner ❤❤❤

Ohhhh myyyyyy goooodnnnesss!!! Trying to have a fancy bourbon flight tasting or a fancy cocktail or craft beer? How about an incredible charcuterie board? Love soft bread in oil? Do you like fancy brussel sprout salads? Do you hate all of these amazing things? Do you wish they were all available at one place? Well you're in luck! Come to the rack house and let your inner fancy out!! Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here for a special occasion.

We visited the Rack House yesterday, to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. I had previously read great reviews about the Rack House Sunday brunch, and we were not disappointed!

Our server, Rebecca, was very helpful and attentive. Along with the High Proof Flight, we enjoyed the Biscuits & Gravy and Farmers Breakfast brunches. The scratch-biscuits with sausage gravy and the country potatoes were absolutely delicious.

They appear to have a great selection of whisky and bourbon - some really nice, rarer bottles.

Ambiance was nice - if it had been a nicer day we would have enjoyed dining outdoors. Thank you for a great first visit, we'll definitely be back.

Every visit to The Rack House has been an exceptional experience. The food is consistently outstanding, and the service, led by the wonderful Marika and Ari, has been top-notch every time. The winter smoked old fashioned is a must-try, and their bourbon selection, including rare finds, is a treat for any whiskey enthusiast. Whether it's for a brunch, bourbon tasting dinner, or wine tasting event, The Rack House never disappoints. It's become our go-to place for memorable dining experiences.

Jordan is an exceptional bartender and server. She was working a birthday party of 100 people this Sunday 11/05 and she was always providing the best service at every second of the night. As soon as my drink was empty she came over to our table to see if we wanted more all night. This continued for hours. She literally asked everyone in the whole place how they were doing all night and delivered as soon as there was a need. This woman needs a raise. She is irreplaceable in this industry.

I give very few places five stars or one star because that means they can’t get much better or worse. While not perfect, this restaurant is this close to five stars as I have seen in a long time. The staff was very nice, and the food selection was different. Interesting and really good. The bourbon cherry appetizer is absolutely something you must try. The desserts were incredible. I normally don’t like brownie dessert, but this was the best I’ve ever tasted with ice cream and bourbon whipped cream. The crème brûlée was awesome great.

The smoked pork chop was excellent, and the selection of wines, Bourbons and scotch was incredible. Both the wine flight and the bourbon flight was a very good deal to be able to sample three winds or four bourbons. I would’ve added more pictures of the beautiful food, but I just couldn’t wait. It looks so good.

My one criticism for ownership, is that they charged a “ credit processing fee” even before they knew how the customer would pay. This means that it’s just a fee tacked on to the bill. This is Petty on a $200 meal and is unusual for restaurants, because paying by credit card is by far the most common. Management should reconsider this type of bogus resort fee mentality and just add the percentage to the prices if they aren’t making enough money. I have spent almost half my review on this issue, so I really don’t think it’s benefiting them very much if even only a small number of other customers feel the same way.

In addition, note that there is a cigar bar inside the restaurant. It’ has a slightly noticeable smell, but not very much. The restaurant is relatively small, though, and seriously could use the additional space for tables.

With that out of my system, and with the hope that management listens, I encourage everyone to give this place a try if they want something a little different, but still solid, good food, and drink.

Overall a great experience, and we will plan on going back .

The Rackhouse is one of my favorite places in town. I’ve brought friends and even business guests here and it has always been a hit!

I’ve had many meals here and they haven’t disappointed. While the food menu tends to change seasonally, it is done masterfully; the variety of the dishes keeps me coming back.

Also happy to report that the whiskey selection is second to none! Suffice it to say that the spirits menu is much longer than the food menu!

On my most recent visit, I had the pleasure to meet the owner John. He spent a bit of time chatting with our group and we’ve shared many laughs in the cigar room. Overall, the Rackhouse is a hidden gem and it’s worth a visit.
