barhopping : took a long walk and came by this restaurant. I loved the quiet waterfront setting. We had drinks and appetizers. Great tasty food. Kingfisher is also a name of a Asian Indian beer. Back 2nd time for dinner…. The appetizer was the best of all. :)

This place was packed when we came in but we managed to get a spot at the bar, had a drink then our table was ready.

The servers never stopped, the buses never stopped, the place was hopping yet all of our food was hot and fresh when it came out.

The owner stopped by and talked with us a bit, very nice guy, gave us some insite on the Soft Shelled Crab we loved, definitely worth ordering when it's available.

The decor of this place is very nice, loved the birds, even the ne sake, Kingfisher.

Good food and good atmosphere. Oysters were great. Rockfish bites were good, but a little dry. Broiled Rockfish and crab cake were delicious. Key lime pie also delicious. Excellent service as well.

Delicious, fresh seafood in a lovely old building overlooking the river. I highly recommend the Albert Special which is a mix of fried shrimp and crab with a side of crisp fries. The crab soup was also delicious. Our server Matt was excellent from start to finish. Not cheap but well worth it. I will be back when I'm next in the area.

Great place in the water for some fresh oysters and tasty treats. Happy hour is a great way to try some different options at a new place. Great friendly service as well.

2 girlfriends and I sat here for 4 HOURS, on a Saturday afternoon, and had an amazing time catching up. The drinks and food were really good. Our server was awesome and we were never pushed to pay our bill or hurried to leave. The photo booth was a fun way to mark the event! I will definitely be back!!

Excellent carryout experience. Great food, done quickly, employees awesome, so glad we couldn't wait any longer for seafood and made this our first pandemic restaurant purchase!
Those pretzels and crab dip are just as amazing as I'd remembered. Worth the trip for sure...

Visited just after opening on Labor Day for lunch, were quickly sat at our choice table on the outside deck overlooking the small Marina. "Kayla" took excellent care of us, and cheerfully accommodated special requests.
Food and drinks (two local craft beers, and one special house drink she recommended were eagerly consumed with much satisfaction 😉
We had the truffle fries and a cup of she crab soup appetizers (fries were tasty and served hot and crunchy but the star was the soup. Smooth, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. Highly recommended!)
I saved room for just the 10-piecs chicken wings (Old Bay) as an entre' which were PERFECTLY done. Meaty, crisp and just the right amount of coating. Could not finish the 10-count so took some home for later. They were great again!
My wife had the shrimp and grits. She enjoyed this very much but be warned of some notable departures from "traditional" S&G most might expect. This is not to say the meal was not good--quite the contrary, it was excellent, generously proportioned and tasty.
So I'll share: the sauce was not a cream-color, but evidently used some in season tomatoes that produced a rose color and influenced the taste (not over-powering but present). Also, the grits came in patty form rather than in a paste or thick dollup, which our server explained when the meal arrived but probably should have mentioned during ordering. The shrimp were large, plentiful and came tails-on.
After sampling the dish their way, my wife simply mashed the grit patties and slightly stirred the ingredients to make the consistency more like we're accustomed to. Results were delicious.
We enjoyed a wonderful day in this quaint little village and our meal at Kingfishers added much to our experience. We recommend this spot on your next visit. We'll definitely be back.

Good food prices ok expected it to be higher than it was. Good view of marina. Friendly and helpful staff. Would come here again.

Great crab cake and fresh flounder. Sides were good too, loved the cole slaw and I'm picky.

Kingfisher is a great restaurant, we love coming here to eat for any meal. The food is always a very good quality and prepared and presented beautifully. My wife and I love the crab cakes and crab dip it is always phenomenal. The staff is awesome, very friendly and attentive. The interior is traditional Maryland seaside restaurant/bar which is nice and fitting.
The outdoor seating is right on the water, great for nice days and when u don't want to sit inside. We always visit Kingfishers when we are in the area and the owner Erik is super cool and friendly.

Amazing experience. My girlfriend and I wanted crabs but they didn't have any because it was early in the season, however, the manager still tried to see if he could order some for us the same day but was not able to. We sat at the bar and ordered random drinks and the bartender delivered! The drinks were AMAZING. I also love the diversity amongst the employees. The crab balls were HUGE, it was all crab and no filler. Will go again

First time here. Stopped in for a late lunch. We were able to be seated on the back deck which overlooks the water. Beautiful views! Had crab soup which was amazing! Fresh, tasty with ample crab. Ordered a lightly breaded shrimp with boom boom sauce, very tasty and cooked to perfection. Also ordered Rock Fish Bites, they were freshly made in light breading, cooked just right and very flavorful. RJ the waiter was great. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Stoney's today.. It was a draw of the straw, and they won. What a nice surprise. Megan was our server, and she was absolutely delightful. Friendly and happy. Very efficient and attentive. She was busy with several other tables, but we were never short on anything.. And the food was wonderful, we both had seafood, the crab cakes were delicious and the fried shrimp was wonderful.. but make sure that you are prepared for the crab dip as an app. and the key lime pie was terrific... Not excessively tart.. yummy. We will return to this wonderful waterfront restaurant on Solomon's Island. Thank-you, Megan and Stoney's, for a lovely evening.

The crab cake is delicious, the portions are very big. Not sure I ever seen a bigger crab cake in any restaurant

Great! The calamari appetizer was wonderful. The crab cake sandwich was just right with long, tasty french fries, the hush puppies are so delicious served with honey. My husband enjoyed his beer batter cod and our son loved the crab mac!

Our friend who is a local brought us here and the food and staff are absolutely amazing!! Our server I believe Lauren? Short hair and a tattooed weirdo like us is absolutely AMAZING! I highly recommend the painkiller drink! Going back before we head home to Illinois!

We had an amazing dinner. The hostess was extremely nice and made the evening even better. It was cold outside, but the view was still nice and they even had live music. I Highly recommend.
