JMA Taekwondo

My son has been taking classes here for two years and it has been so good for his discipline, self-esteem and social skills. The instructors are amazing, and they are truly extended family members. They balance care and concern with rigor and expectations while making things fun for the kids!

Excellent School, Instructors are all Black Belts with years of training, they are also excellent with kids of all ages. The facility is very clean and all are very friendly and personable. I would highly recommend JMA Taekwondo.

If I could give JMA more than 5 stars, I would! We moved to the area from Minnesota and this was the only dojo we checked out. We immediately felt welcomed to the group and I love seeing the progress my child has made since attending JMA. Here, they make sure every student is challenged appropriately and are pushed to better themselves in TKD and as a human being. So thankful that we found this gem!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. This is a welcoming and friendly institution for everyone who is seeking Taekwondo lessons. They have lessons for pre-school children, which is not only for skills but also discipline and good behavior. Kids can have fun and also learn valuable lessons. The teaching staff are all very caring. They try their best to meet every individual's need. They also have lessons for older children or teenagers, adults as well. Once, I saw a whole family in the same class, which looked so fun and heartwarming. You might find many professional Taekwondo institutions, but if you are looking for both professional instructions and genuine caring atmosphere, this is the place.

My son has been attending classes at JMA Taewondo class in Durham for several months now. He has a neuromuscular disability and the classes are helping his balance and confidence.

More than anything I am impressed by the skill and the compassion of this family owned business. They are kind and you feel like every student is getting one on one attention. Patience and calm instruction is their hallmark. Their motto is "Yes I can! Yes I will."

He has moved to a higher belt now and his long term goal is a black belt. With their guidance and encouragement I believe he will make it! If you are considering Taewondo for your son, daughter or yourself don't hesitate to go to JMA Taewondo school in Durham.
You will be delighted at the results but more than that their style of instruction is superior and motivating!

Our grandson started in Sept 2022 and has been nothing short of AMAZING. The BEST family and so compassionate with each person young or older. If you want to join for fun, to get serious or compete, please come and join us. We love them All! GM Ji, Master Eunae and Instructor Lawrence!

The instructors are awesome and they take time out to provide individual assistance when needed.

Like this place soo far.. my kids are excited to start their lessons.
