Paul's Family Restaurant was a wonderful surprise. First off it was open on Thanksgiving day and had an amazingly tasty turkey dinner and a just as tasty ham dinner. Each dinner came with three sides and all of them were delicious. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was hoping and the meal more then made up for it. The servers were very pleasant even with the amount of people being served.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Paul's on a Friday evening in September. It wasn't too crowded. We seated right when we walked in. I had the Indian Taco, I'd never heard of all for had an indian taco, so I really didn't know what to expect. It was fantastic the fry bread was excellent. My wife had a nicely prepared twelve ounce ribeye with a great flavor. Our dinner salads were very fresh. Our server was awesome, he was hopping from table to table. Portion sizes were good and the price was extremely fair. Will definitely come back to Paul's next time we're town. Parking is limited.

Let me start by saying, this was our first time trying Paul's but it won't be our last. Also, there were some non positive things with our meal but I think this visit deserves 5* review. I had the fried trout. It was delicious and perfectly cooked! Super flaky with a nice crunch. Sweet potato fries were huge...unlike any that I have ever had before! Coleslaw is Sweet and super tasty! (If this was my place, I would serve it on/in a dish instead of the plastic condiment cup. It would make for better presentation) My wife had the Ribeye. While it didn't come out cooked to perfection, the owner made sure that she made my wife happy. We also got a slice of cake for dessert. This thing was huge and perfect for sharing. It was super moist and tasty! Brianna was a great server. She was very friendly and energetic.

Our food was really good. My husband’s trout was cooked very well. Good flavor my Indian taco was amazing. The Indian fry bread was wonderful. They are short staffed. That being said service was a little slow but in my opinion, it was well worth it. We will definitely be back.

We were a family of 8 and were seated immediately. The waiter took our drink order and in no time was back with our drinks and to take our food order. It took a good 30-40 minutes for our food to come out but it was definitely worth it! Our crowd had the elk burgers, bacon cheeseburger, grilled chicken sandwich, kids pizza, hot dog and Hamburger steak and they were all delicious! Prices were great compared to what you spend at a chain fast food joint these days. Much better food and fresh!

Homemade diner food with some first nations menu items and amazing deserts! Indian taco and fried chicken were tasty and hardy. The blueberry cheesecake has little pieces of white cake that make it fluffy and delightful. Our server was super nice too.

Ordered the fried mushrooms and Indian taco for take-out. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. My food wasn't ready yet, but I was given status updates every couple minutes. My wait was less than 10 minutes.
The food was worth the wait. The mushrooms were the best I've ever had. The Indian taco was smaller than I expected, but tasted very good with chili instead of just ground beef. I would definitely eat here again.

This place was so quaint and screamed local restaurant so we stopped and boy are we glad we did. We had the cheese curds for an appetizer. I myself got the Indian taco and it was delicious. My wife and mom both got the special which was an 8oz Ribeye and a baked potato and a roll. They both were very pleased with it. Waiter was both nice and professional. Thank you paul's!!!

Service is slow but the frog legs were the best and enough to take home for seconds.

Saw there was a restaurant that had authentic Indian(Native American) food and while staying at the Harrah's it really intrigued me. Well it must have intrigued a bunch of other people as well, when I pulled up it was jammed packed. Walking up I saw a line coming down the steps, asking them they said they were waiting and was told it was about a 45-1hr wait. Well since I was by myself I thought I'd take a chance and see if they could get me in. There was a bar inside that was closed, but there hostess told me I could sit there and she would take care of me. After sitting there for a few minutes I noticed they only had 2 severs working and my hostess, was also a server, buser and the cashier. Now I was here when the pandemic was still overly high, so I understand that they were very short staffed, especially only 2 ppl running many tables in and out. Reading some of the other reviews and actually how shifty people we're to these young ladies, it was appalling. There was a section closed off behind me since short staffed and people would just sit down like they were sat there and waited for service. After not getting any they got up and complained to the hostess, when she said it was closed and they weren't supposed to there they started yelling at her. Unbelievable! Anyway sorry for that, but I'd never seen anything like that. So, I got the Indian tacos which I thought was delicious. The main part of an Indian Taco is the bread that it's put on, which is the Indian part I would guess. They had a number of other dishes, trout and Elk burgers you could get. I would definitely come back, maybe at a less busy time, but the food and my service was good.

Outdoor seating on nice porch by a small rushing stream. Indoors is informal, and full of local folk. Try to come at off-peak hours for faster service. No matter the hour the food is so, so DELICIOUS! But they do get busy sometimes. Pro tip: the bison and beef burgers can be served ON FRY BREAD! Wow!

Had the open face turkey lunch special while hubby had the burger. Both were very good as was the coconut cake! We sat at the bar and spoke with a gentleman who was very nice. Right before we left we found out the gentleman was Paul the owner of the diner! We plan on going back for dinner because they have a Native American Menu that features Mountain Trout and Buffalo Ribeyes. Can't wait!

Enjoying a nice day in Cherokee. Always go to Paul's because of the authentic Cherokee Indian Tacos. This is the only place to get them in the reservation....yummy!!! Sat outside listening to the water while dining. Only one server and everything came out as requested. He was slammed and working the patio solo. He did a good job. We were fine and were not in a hurry.

Great food. A little bit pricey but lots of it. Slight staffing problems I think. But the people that do work give it all they got! We went twice in two days because the food was good. But they needed more wait staff.

We had a good experience while coming here to get dinner after driving through the Smoky National Park! The staff was really friendly and helpful as the food was pretty good! Although they were a bit understaffed but they do their best!
