I can't remember if it was this shop, or a neighboring one. But I remember visiting last summer, and it was being managed by a very lovely Polish woman and her son (maybe my age, being 18 or 19). I didn't get a chance to really stay and talk, but I thought about them today, and wanted to leave a review regardless. This place really is wonderful, and my dad and I come nearly every summer to visit.
My name is Briana Frady.) Hope you're all doing well!

It was cute little store while we were on the way to Smoky Mountain. The staff were very friendly, and the shop was full of many goods. We decided to buy a pin of Smoky Mountain and The Southwest Store there.

Really nice and smiling staff. Among plastic there is many nice things to buy. I truly recommend that store!

These people were very warm and welcoming and were kind in assisting me to find the items I wanted. It's a neat shop with lots of great gifts and a great selection.

Family walked around, had a few items we wanted but was then asked to leave when the shop keeper noticed we had drinks. It's in the high 80's. Drinks are a must. Will say they had a lot of great stuff, it was clean and it wasn't cramped in there between aisles.

Spanish speaking Mamacita at the cash register, this one is for you. I popped in to buy my baby a plush bear to replace one that was lost. I asked if they offered a military discount and was told yes by Mamacita's daughter. Mamacita sarcastically made the comment, "well well well, look at you!" She then waited for me to complete my purchase to further insult me by asking her daughter right in front of me, "Did she show you her military I.D.?" Her very humiliated son and daughter both hung their heads in shame. My family vacations here every summer and we will make it a point to skip this shop from this point forward. Also, nothing is authentic here and the shop next door had bears twice the size for $10 less than what I paid here. I asked for a refund because the whole situation rubbed me wrong and I felt they no longer deserved my business. I was told best she could do is store credit. Imagine that!

The lady at the register was extremely rude and aggressive. I've worked retail all my life in a tourist city. The attitude she had with me I wouldn't dare have with one of my customers. The items in there are lovely, but I would choose one of the neighboring shops for the sole purpose of her personality.

I shopped there over this past week and right after using my debit card on their square system, I had over 30 charges made to my card in 5 different states. Luckily I was able to see it and file a claim with my bank. I informed the shop owner of what happened and he was very nonchalant about it and not at all concerned or empathetic towards the situation. What a way to enjoy a vacation.

Decent selection but rude cashier. They only take credit or debit cards if it's over 10 dollars but it did not say that anywhere in the store before we were able to read it on the counter. The cashier asked my husband and I if we had any cash. When we responded no he asked us where we thought we were going without cash! He complained about fees angrily while he ran our card. If I had had more time to say anything I would not have made the purchase due to how unkind he was.

We had high expectations for these stores when we came to visit from Florida. Indian culture and trinkets. This was the first store we came to and I must say... TOTALLY let DOWN. As a Mexican American I am surprised to see all the same stuff from Mexico are here played off as indian. The lady behind counter was NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL! She was speaking Spanish to a coworker about everyone in our group unpleasantly. I understood them but said nothing. I will NOT recommend this place or come back. They will watch your kids like hawks to see if they touch anything and if looks broken they will make you buy it.

Don't buy jewelry from them it's fake. Bought 2 rings from them got home checked them with a magnet both were fake. Certainly not sterling silver like they advertise. This is not the only place in Cherokee that sells fake jewelry so if you plan to buy make sure you take a magnet and check it first
