The ambience of this shop is so mesmerizing! The owner is personable, and very friendly, I enjoyed every moment in this little store, there is so much to look at and see in here. As someone who makes candles and soaps, this shop has such beautiful soaps and items!

This store is a can't-miss if you're in Cherokee.

It's important to us that we buy directly from First Nations people when we are on their sovereign land, and so we've always made a point to shop here when we're in the area.

I like to stock up on herbs and essential oils, but also find a lot of other goodies and gifts every time we visit. My husband is partial to the fresh pork skins and hot boiled peanuts. And my grandparents love their unique jams and jellies.

Thank you for being such a stellar store for so long. Keep up the excellent work.

Visited this Cherokee arts and crafts store and had a great experience. Picked up some tasty taffy, beef jerky, and peanuts. The owners were warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend stopping by.

Absolutely LOVE this place. On top of perfect customer service, everything is so beautiful. I got tea for sleep that's amazing and a medicine pouch I wear all the time. I'm definitely making the 4 hour trip back.

We stopped in on a sightseeing trip recently. They are polite and have a clean store. We found some amazing things there. Some wonderful local jams, recipes and starters as well as our favorite, the ciders. We tried the peach and apple. The peach is some next level stuff. I highly recommend you grab some. I'd be buying it online if I could.

I could have spent hours in here. There is so much stuff to look at in the store. This is well worth the stop. I ended up buying Elk jerky and honey. I wish I could have stayed longer and talked to the Proprietors. They were super nice. It really is a busy place and parking gets a little scarce. Make sure you park where you're not in the way.

Super eclectic shop. There was all kinds of things from our elk hides to beautiful handmade baskets. All kinds of treats in jars of handmade goodies, which I bought a lot of. Also some clay pottery made from the locals that were amazing the design and intricacy. I should’ve took a bunch of pictures and I didn’t. It’s just one of those shops that has a little bit of everything.

I was looking for a store that was locally owned and run by Cherokee. Bearmeat Indian Den was recommended. I was given directions and told to drive slow or I'd miss it. They were right! It is located just around a sharp turn. If you drive too fast, you will certainly miss it. Depending on the season, you'll find fresh apples, out front. Inside you'll find anything from furs, toys, dream catchers, books, jewelry, pottery, jams, jellies and best of all their salves. I purchased some Emu oil meant for arthritis pain for my neighbor. He gave it a try and called me asking where he could get more. It worked wonders on his sciatica and nothing else did. He gave some to his brother, and he wanted some as well. They wanted to place a bulk order. It worked so well they could finally sleep through the night. I just happened to be driving through Cherokee the next day and picked them up some more. If you're in the area or driving through, make it a point to stop by.

This is totally a tourist attraction aka trap that you have to stop at. We loved this place.

The owners are really friendly and helpful. The items they offer are unique and well crafted. The location is worth the drive alone. Prices are well within the acceptable limits.

Overall we really enjoyed our visit.

My wife also ordered something over the phone. It arrived packaged in a way that made sure it was not damaged.

Cons: it's so far away...

Amazing place for locally made treats and crafts! The gentleman who I presume was the owner was very polite and helpful. The shop had a very wide selection of different items and treats. The store was very clean and well laid out to easily find everything. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the area looking for neat souvenirs.

David is a very knowledgeable owner, has stories about each artist and their work and the history of the local area. There is something here for every price range, gorgeous sculptures. Animal pelts, jams jellies, great place!

Beautiful handmade items by local artisans. Food, spices, books, pottery, scarves, soaps, plus much more. My favorite were two pair of handmade moccasins I bought for my granddaughters. If you're going to Cherokee, this is the place to shop. Everyone there is very friendly.

A neat souvenir spot on the outskirts of Cherokee on the reservation. Everything is handmade and it is native American owned. We picked up some things, however, don't miss it in the apples and cider. We took some back to our camp and heated it up and it was delicious.

This is more than a souvenir shop. This is an immersive experience into Cherokee Arts and Life! The quality of the pieces available here is unparalleled anywhere I've ever seen. The carving, tanning, cooking, painting, designing, beading, sewing, ALL the craftsmanship in every artisan piece is amazing. The store was attended today by a white-haired Cherokee gentleman whose knowledge of Native Arts was extensive and only matched by his sense of humor! He and I discussed briefly Richard Crowe, a gifted Cherokee ancestor whose legendary life included being an artisan as well as portraying Cherokee life in movies and the drama "Unto These Hills," which is still performed here in Cherokee NC. Among the wares you will also see and learn the story of a (taxidermied) young Bald Eagle; an exhibit that is truly one of a kind. Nothing here was made in China, there is no junky stuff in this place. It is a celebration of Cherokee Arts. We will be making this a must-do stop anytime we're in the area. Could not recommend any higher!
