Bum's is the place Eastern bbq devotees go to eat a Big Sunday Dinner with all the trimmings. Its absolute heaven in here! Everything is on the best of level for NC Q every speck of food in there ya hear?! Bum's will make you cry its so good like Grady's, B's, Sam Jones, and The Skylight Inn. The real deal squeal !!!!!!!

I was greeted with a smile. Saw an old high school associate and got to experience some real food. It’s the real food for me. They’re not using canned collards or store bought potato salad like many other “well known” restaurants are. They’re cleaning collards and peeling potatoes! It was seasoned well. I did add a packet of sugar to my potato salad though. The prices are reasonable and the chicken taste like my aunt Mattie (RIP) fried it so it was a win in my book!

Stopped in on a whim this morning. Upon walking in, it smelled delicious! Very friendly staff and the breakfast was great. Clean restaurant! Love the family environment. Will definitely go back!

Passed by today for good country helping of almost everything on the menu LOL was absolutely fantastic. First off I had no problem getting my son's wheelchair through the door. I found the prices to be quite fair and reasonable for the delicious food you are getting. I'm from Charleston originally and this is the best lima beans! I had the fried chicken in the ribs and a whole bunch of sides. I like that the soda was extra large also. I highly recommend this restaurant the food is absolutely delicious! Terrific customer service and wonderful ambience hometown at its finest!

One of my favorites! Go see Spanky in the mornings! Not only is it the BEST BBQ but a great family there as well! My dad was best friends with the owner. It means alot this place its a childhood favorite also!!! Love BUMS!!!

Good down home cooking with staff who are spot on. They are familiar with their customers and what we order and it's ready in a timely manner. These folks are family in our own little Mayberry!

My family and I make day trips all around NC, one Saturday a month. This Saturday we visited Ayden and Bum’s Restaurant. We went through the drive thru. The staff was quick and the bbq sandwich was so good! You could really taste the smoke without it being too much and the coleslaw was a great compliment to the meat. The sandwich was big and the price was a great value! So far out of 10 different restaurants we have visited, it is the BEST! I can’t wait to make a second trip and this time try their sides.

Good country cooking. So many good vegetables to choose from and seasoned perfect. Lots of good meat choices too. Love their fried chicken. But I don't think you will be dissatisfied with any of your choices. Will keep you coming back, that's for sure. Always make you feel at home there.

This was my first visit here.. Wonderful place to eat. We had breakfast and it was delicious. Big fluffy pancakes. And the French toast was huge. Bigger than the Texas toast size. Would like to try lunch or dinner next time.

Everything we had there was very good. We tried the fried chicken and the pulled pork with collard greens and lima beans as well as yellow squash and green beans. The green beans were pretty much straight out of the can. That would be my only complaint. The prices are extremely reasonable and the staff were very hospitable.

Best BBQ in Ayden! Home cooking at its finest. Collards, fried chicken, Brunswick stew, banana pudding… you really can not order wrong in this establishment. Breakfast is wonderful too!!

This place is awesome!! Great food no matter what time you go but breakfast is a must. Small town , friendly folks that treat you like family. Gotta stop here if you’re within 50 miles or so!!

Love everything they serve especially the chicken and pastry, collards, corn, ribs, BBQ, banana pudding and their strawberry pudding is amazing (seasonal). Great service and great people. Larry always looks out for his customers. Keep meaning to try their infamous breakfast.

Great local vibe. Everyone knows everyone. Larry is warm and welcoming. Staff is incredibly friendly. Food, especially breakfast, is very good. Just simple homestyle cooking.
