Stillwater Endodontics

I was very happy with my experience at Stillwater Endodontics. I was nervous about the root canal, as I had never had one before, and it was on my lower back tooth. The dentist and his staff did all they could to make me as comfortable as possible. The dentist was very polite and had a precise manner. He was very good at explaining what he would do and made sure the numbing medicine had taken full effect before he began. I actually began to relax during the process because he was that much of a skilled professional. It was the best experience at a dentist office that I have ever had. I can eat ice cream for the first time in years without pain from that tooth. I had no issues whatsoever with recovery. I would recommend him highly!

Would recommend! He was patience and kind. It took my tooth awhile to numb up but he was determined to make sure I had no pain. He also worked me into his schedule at a short notice. The staff are well educated and everyone explained what to expect down to filing insurance to what I would be expected to pay. They even told me the success and fail rate of a root canal prior to getting one. So all patients are well informed prior to procedure.

I do not leave reviews anywhere. But this office deserves all 5 of these stars. As someone with severe dental anxiety I believed my root canal treatment was going to be a nightmare. The staff was warm and kind and Dr. Daugherty was very attentive to all my needs. The whole process was quick, painless and I couldn't speak higher of them! They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and relaxed!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this office!! Working for a general dentist myself, I was not super thrilled when I learned that I needed to be referred to a specialist for a root canal. But let me tell you, Dr. Daugherty and his staff are the BEST! They are all so thoughtful, caring, and as nice as can be! They thoroughly explained how and why I needed the root canal, went over my options, and performed the procedure all in the same day. I had zero pain, and was in and out in no time! Thanks again Stillwater Endo!

Dr. Daugherty and his staff are extremely concise and knowledgeable. I was extremely impressed with the actual procedure the doctor an assistant really didn't have to say anything to each other, they were in sync throughout the entire procedure.

He even followed up to make sure everything was okay. If I ever need another root canal I will definitely be going here (hopefully I won't :) ).

I hundred percent recommend Darrell Daughtry DDS any time to anyone! from the minute I walked in I felt immediate comfort! From start to finish it was all about me, making sure I was comfortable and in no pain. He was so gentle, And that is for a root canal of all things 🦷  I will be going back with any other teeth issues!!

Wonderful and professional staff! Would definitely recommend to anyone. They went over and beyond for me when I needed an emergency root canal. Very grateful.

Very nice staff and very professional. There were no surprises and I was told my options and the cost of the procedure up front. Very impressive.

The actual root canal procedure went very well. The Dr. and assistant were very accommodating & knowledgeable.

Unfortunately the communication was very poor when it came to the billing and full picture of what it entailed (and therefore costly). After my initial consultation (which was $250), I was quoted $1600 for the root canal procedure. I was never told that this would only include a temporary- no crown. I assumed that this price would include everything, as I have had a root canal in the past and paid for the whole COMPLETED procedure. I was not told that I would need to get the crown done somewhere else (which will cost another $1200) until after my procedure. I was literally walking out of my appointment assuming I'd be making the next appointment to complete the procedure. It was then that I first found out that a) they don't do crowns & b) that $1850 was only for the procedure.

I had been deciding between a root canal or implant and chose to go the root canal route assuming it would be much less costly. But in reality it will end up costing close to the same. I wish I had been given all of the information (and the ACTUAL total cost) before making the decision. I don't usually write reviews but wanted to make sure that is communicated to future patients.

After being referred by my WONDERFUL Dentist, I had high expectations that he would be nice and my root canal wouldn't be the worst thing I've experienced. After looking at my X-ray that 4 other professionals deemed worthy of a root canal, he insulted me saying that I did not really even know if there was anything wrong with my tooth (again, obviously there is because why would I WANT a root canal if I was not sure). After being forced to get an additional pricey X-ray, he conceded telling me he finally saw what everyone else could see on the original X-ray and proceeded with surgery. By far the rudest professional I've encountered in the field. It is worth the trip to another town to not have a jerk lingering over you

If they say they accept your insurance, get it in writing! If they say your portion will be $xxx, get it in writing!!! When we first met with them, they said that they did accept our insurance and our portion would only be $350, which I paid in good faith trusting their word. Two weeks later, I get a bill for over $1,000 because the insurance denied the claim. I called my insurance company and found out that they were 'not in our network" and that was about all I could get out of them. So, I called Stillwater Endodontics to see if they would be willing to work with me since they stated that our portion was only going to be $350. NOPE! They stated that I should have looked into the insurance for myself, and they were not willing to reduce the amount and not willing to accept any payments lower than $100 a month, which I currently can't afford. If they would have told me our portion might be anywhere from $350 to $1,400 depending on if our insurance covered it from the start, I would have looked at other options. But they didn't and obviously won't until you owe them. So, please, do yourself a favor and make sure you get everything in writing from them with an absolute final total of your portion -not estimate- and have them sign it before these swindlers even charge you one penny.

the doctor requires FULL payment for root canal, even when I paid him for 2 previous ones. Most people don't have 1600 to put down. My insurance was tapped out and I was in extreme pain. Dr. dautertry is one of the greedest people Ive come across in the medical field. He makes attorneys fees and attorneys look like saints. Never going back, rather drive to OKC. D
