Los Compadres Cafe

The food was great and the service was exceptional! We just moved here from Arizona and have definitely found our Mexican restaurant. The tacos and taco salad were delicious. We can’t wait to try out more dishes from the menu.

WOW what a hidden gem. Greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant. Promptly, our drink order was taken as we were handed menus. So many speciality items it was amazing. The waiter really took his time and explained several of the popular menu items. We had told him that this was our first time eating at this restaurant. The food was out piping hot and the flavor was amazing. They have their own homemade salsa that is awesome. And the portions are large enough for any hunger pangs you may be experiencing. We will be most certainly going back soon.

This is the best Mexican place I've eaten at in a long time. They had an extremely extensive menu. I was with a few friends and when all the food arrived, I could have eaten anything that was on the table as it all looked delicious. My dish with fried catfish and shrimp was absolutely wonderful. I'm looking forward to going back.

The service by our waiter, Jesus, was particularly good. He made us feel like regulars and family.

Friendly folks, clean, and small-town chill inside. I was recommended the Lucio Dinner from the traditional menu and it was excellent. The chille rellano was the star on that plate but those chicken flautas...goodness, 10/10. Rice and beans were good and hot. Chips and salsa are clearly made in house and delicious. Don't walk out without the sopapilla!

Lunch specials are the way to go here. I got the chicken enchiladas plate and it was super delicious. They bring chips with salsa and queso before the plate comes out. The salsa is spicy and full of flavor. The queso was excellent also. If you want to add more spice to your plate add some salsa to your dish. The special also comes with a sopapilla for dessert. Service was spot on and tables were nice and clean. Love the food here. ❤

The service was so quick, it surprised me. We could not have received better service. Food was excellent and served hot! While not crowded, there were still quite a few people left over from the lunch crowd. Made it easy to get back to work on time.

First time here. Visited with coworker for our lunch break. Food was awesome. The staff was friendly, and very attentive.

Had a different dish this time, and the enchiladas were awesome. Food, and staff are still great.

First time here the food was really good I ordered the pork Guiso with both red and green sauces mixed. It have really good flavor.

This is the best Mexican restaurant I've been to and I drive 2 hours to eat here about once a week. Their food is absolutely amazing with a strong selection for their menu. This is a place where I can randomly choose any meal to order and it will taste great! The staff is great and helpful with food suggestions as well.

My wife and myself wanted to go out to eat on a Friday afternoon and of course we have eaten at every restaurants in Norman which I might add the experience has been lacking in all areas. Not here to bash any eateries. I'm sure you know what I mean. Anyways I chose Los Compadres which we had never been without any grand desires. No big deal in other words. We were pleasantly impressed with the service and we thought that the food was great. The portions were just right for lunch and the price was affordable. This place is not a fancy place but it was all I expected from a traditional Mexican restaurant. As I said this was my first time but not my last. Maybe my first choice.

Amazing service and the best chicken enchilada I’ve ever had! The chicken was so moist and not dried out. Everything was so flavorful!

I always enjoy my time eating here. It is a very family friendly atmosphere. People are friendly and accommodating. I frequently come with large groups with children, and they host us like we're having a family reunion, and we're part of their family!

Food tastes great, salsa is made fresh, and they'll really take good care of you with chips, queso and salsa. Their menu is extensive, but not intimidating. The menu is well planned (and modular) for their kitchen staff that food can easily come out and the whole party gets to dig in without having to awkwardly wait till everybody's good arrives to politely take the first bite.

And sopapillas... Oh... I can't describe it. You'll just have to see my picture. Keep in mind, we come in large groups. The host fondly calls it, sopapailla-pizza.

I think he should coin it, "sopapizza".

Absolutely awesome experience. Hands down the best service by any standards. Great food, cold beer, and the chili reminds me of my aunt’s in El Paso. We will be back, and bring friends!

I came in today with my boss for lunch. It was the first time for both of us to eat here. The guy that waited on us was very pleasant, and rather humorous. I had a chicken and a beef enchilada, and they were excellent. The food came out very quick, as well as hot and fresh. I am blind, and the guy waiting on us was very good with me and telling me where the different food items were located on my plate. Not many people will do that for me. I truly appreciate it him helping me with that. The salsa as well as the queso are also amazing. Keep up the excellent work here guys. I will definitely be coming back.

Great place to eat some Mexican food, wasn't over priced and they serve a good size portion to you. Their chips and salsa was pretty good. Great real drinks, I had Jamaica and my way fe drank horchata both made without syrup or powder.

Really great food. A lot of places raised their prices and lowered their quality after the excuse of a pandemic but this place continues to impress with quality Mexican food for a great price. If you haven’t tried this place I highly recommend. The staff is very polite and courteous as well. Great job Los Compadres Cafe

Great place for lunch with the family after church! You'll love the staff. They do a great job making you feel genuinely welcome.

Had dinner here, last night, after a movie at Robinson Crossing 6. Their chili rellenos are the best I've ever had - and I've eaten a lot of them!
