Howerton Family Medicine

Wonderful, welcoming family practice. Myself and my three children are seen by Dr. Amy Howerton and have been for 4 years since moving to the area. She is always thorough with examinations, never rushed when we have questions or want more information and the utmost professional. It is comforting to have a medical professional who listens to your concerns and validates them. I am so glad we have a confident family physician close to home!

The doctors here stay on your back which is by the way a good thing.

This place is not the same as it used to be.I'd been coming here since I was in high school,back when either Shawn or Amy used to actually be there.Gradually over time the quality&customer service of this place has decreased tremendously—particularly since most of the old/original staff left.Howerton family med opens at 830.Ive been calling for close to 15 minutes back to back just to get someone on the phone to ask about an appointment. I was greeted with little to no personality or friendliness once I finally got a hold of someone.Its like they're courteous enough to say they"did their jobs"but it doesn't feel warm or sincere at all.I miss the professionalism&overall friendliness that used to be in this place. The overall vibe now is just weird &off putting....

I'm a diabetic, I have no spleen and I Dysautonomia.
I go every 3 months to at least get my A1c checked.
The last check before my appointment in April I was told my potassium was high and my vitamin D was low.
In April she did NO blood work at all.
I'm just over this.
If there were any doctors in the area accepting new patients I would have been gone a long time ago.
