This little shop is exactly what I imagine Rose’s apothecary is like from Shitt’s creek. Quaint, tidy, and yet upscale! The shop owner was so kind and helpful. I got the tastiest drink mixer for peach bellinis. If you’re near west Jefferson, you have to check this out ❤

What a great and unique experience. My husband loved it. We picked up really cool food items and sampled diverse wine selections. Owner was so nice!! Definitely stop by anytime you are in West Jefferson!

An extremely welcoming and nice owner, met with amazing looking foods. We couldn't pass up grabbing a couple items! Will become a go to spot when we want to have a fancy home cooked meal! We are so excited to trying other foods!

Wonderful Selection of specialty foods. Who knew a small town would have such a neat shop...not to mention the great staff. We walked out the door with a wide variety of products...totally blew my budget.

Love this shop! Every time I visit West Jefferson a stop at Watson Foods and Watson Home is a must. The shop is stocked with all kinds of goodies for either a gift or yourself. The selection of frozen dishes is one of the best around from Ladyfingers Gourmet. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They never disappoint!

My absolute favorite store in town! The selection of items is so thoughtfully curated and the owner is so knowledgeable about each and every item. This is the perfect place to shop for a special gift, but I never leave without a few things for myself - especially a box of truffles!

I found my way into Watson Foods while on a weekend getaway! They have a wonderful selection of wine and the best pre-made meals. You truly had to open 2 things the oven door and the wine and dinner was done! Perfect for vacation! Wish I lived there to take advantage of this fabulous shop!

I drive an hour frequently to go to this shop. They have a fantastic variety of foods. I also like the foods provided by other businesses. My favorites are garlic aoili, the tea assortments, and the ham rolls. Can always count on amazing fresh cookies too.

Our 3rd time shopping there and love it every time. Always great finds and “must try” purchases. The owners/salespeople are exceptionally nice and very helpful. It’s the kind of shop that you would expect to find in a huge city so it’s a great surprise to find it tucked away in West Jefferson. Great food items, sauces, drink mixers, spices, wines, ciders, etc. but also great gift items too.

OMG!! I just tried the chicken sausage and wild rice casserole!! Chef’s kiss 😘 It was delicious. I live in Creston and don’t have anything close by so I will stock my freezer!! Thank you Watson Foods !! I will be back 😊

I found this place on social media and wanted to try it when we took a family trip to West Jefferson. It was our first stop and I was SO IMPRESSED with the shop and the owner. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly but not overbearing - I felt like he truly wanted me to have a good experience in his shop and find some things I loved rather than just make a sale (and by default, I bought way more than I intended). He recommended several products and I loved them all, but his top recommendation was for a tea (Harney and Sons Hot Cinnamon) that I never would have picked on my own. I have fallen in love with it and am now addicted. We don't live in the area, so I already know I'll be ordering online, and just wishing I could visit his store again for more recommendations!

Fabulously refreshing for Ashe County. Matt, the owner in a jacket, pocket hankie with a professional demeanor and attitude greeted me today. Products I am very familiar with like Frontier Soups- the BEST EVER- due to the spices. Add to it he suggested a Harney & Sons tea- Paris- that is to die for.! The variety of food items not sold around here. The tasteful Christmas music and decorations plus the beautiful way he has displayed the foods make this a stellar place to shop. The parking can be tricky BUT walk a short distance and you will be pleasantly delighted and surprised. A WINNER FOR THE AREA!! Thanks to Bruce as well for his friendliness. My new best place to shop.

My wife and I visited the other day and loved the store! We bought quite a few items and hope to visit again next time we are in town. In addition to the high end olive oils, pestos, sauces, spices, and coffee, they also sell frozen entrees prepared by Ladyfingers (a Raleigh company). We bought a Tuscan stuffed chicken dish and are looking forward to enjoying it tonigh.

Watson Food AND Watson Home are delightful stores with exquisite product lines, tastefully selected by Mark Watson. We shop both stores each time we are in West Jefferson. Mark & staff are helpful & so friendly. We could use such stores in Pinehurst!!

Met the owner, such a sweet man! Everything at West Jefferson Specialty Foods are unique, tasty, and you can't find it anywhere else! I loved the Paris tea and when I was there I was treated to a chocolate chip cookie!
