What a hidden gem! All of the food we ordered was absolutely amazing! This was the first visit. Ordered garlic knots, Caesar salad, Greek salad, white pizza (added tomatoes and red onion), and linguini Alfredo.

The Caesar salad is the best I’ve ever had (the picture does not do it justice). Pizza is authentic, dressings and pasta sauces are house-made; everything was exceptionally delicious!

Really enjoyed dinner. I had pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza with a side salad with blue cheese dressing . My family will be back. All the food was excellent!

This is a hidden McAlester Oklahoma gem 💎.
The decor is very eclectic... Nice 🐠 tank as you walk in so great first impression, cutting boards located over air conditioning vents was a very great 💡 as well.
(La)SHAY was my server and she was friendly, professional and efficient. She answered all questions and definitely went above and beyond. Ask for her on your visit, you won't be disappointed.
The owner brought out my delicious food and was correct when he said the bacon, cheese grits were fabulous. The Prime Rib was the best but only have it on special nights so do call ahead for that but everything else is a constant and very delish.
Definitely stop 🛑 here on your next Mcalester visit.

Update 2023: Still our favorite spot. Super friendly service and the food is amazing. Got the poblano mac and cheese today, my word was it good! Also the best ceasar salad I've had in Oklahoma.👍🏻

This may just be my favorite place in McAlester now. We had't been in a long time and friends suggested we go for lunch. I was like, well, I can't eat pizza, and they were like, what else on their menu can you have? Wait, what? They have more! So I took a gander and was pleasantly suprised by all the awesome entrees on offer. It looked like a well thought out menu and I gotta say, it exceeded my expectations. I got the chicken cordon blue and stuffed mushrooms and my husband got the shrimp and grits. First grits I've tasted in oklahoma that were good. Nay, not just good, AMAZING! And a huge portion too, he had to take some home, and he's not complaining LOL. My entree and appetizer were so flavorful, I wanted to lick the plate.😋 Mine came with a side if fries that I was going to just let my husband have because I'm doing low carb, but if course I tried one. And dag nabbit! They were good! I ended up eating a few more before I asked the waitress to just get them away from me. 😂 I'm serious, if you're trying to cut carbs beware the temptation and get a side salad instead. My husband is under no such restrictions though and happily ate all the very delicious and pillowy soft herbed garlic bread with butter.

You'll notice we tore into our food before I remembered to take a few pictures, and not my best pictures either, I just wanted to get back to eating.😁

We had lunch. We ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza family size and the Indian Taco bombs. Both were delicious, and the portions were generous. Our waitress was very good and was checking on us regularly. It was cool how the restaurant was in the building with other businesses that you didn't know where there till you stepped inside. I wished we had time to explore the other businesses, but we needed to leave.

The ahi tuna was grilled and seared to perfection with the lime twisted chimichurri dressing made for a spectacular salad for my second visit to the Compass Wood Fire kitchen.

Each restaurant should be rated as compared to others at the same price point. This restaurant provides interesting food, attentive service, and an interesting atmosphere all without breaking the budget. I had the brussels sprouts pizza and it was unusual, tasty, and generally pleasant. I would go there again and anticipate that there are several enjoyable meals to be had there.

Staff were so friendly! We ordered their Daredevil and Delilah Pizza. So delicious. The habanero cream cheese on the Daredevil was amazing. Such a good level of spice. Some of the best pizza we have had in a while. I highly recommend trying their Lemon Curd Pizza to go, put it in the fridge for an hour and then eat it cold! GAME CHANGER!

We had the Greek one and the daredevil. Both were fresh and delicious. Never thought I would have liked a spicy hot pizza,but they pulled it off in a big way.

3rd times the charm. Finally got my husband to try their food. Worth the 3 he drive.
Rule...we try something new each time. Each meal was amazing and price is well worth it all.

Best sandwiches you will ever consume in your life. If we lived close, we’d be regulars. Their food had us truly considering moving the 6 hours away from our home state just to live close to this fabulous establishment. Service is always friendly and portions are massive. So filling, so delicious. Highly recommend the Italian Sub and Chicken Parm sub!

Very nice staff and amazing food. Loved the Monster Fries and the Cranberry spinach salad was probably one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten.

I just had to go there and they went above and beyond. But I quick easy to take out meal.... I got the honey barbecue Buffalo wings and they were really good. Nice and juicy, cooked just right. Not too hard.

There is a story to be told here.. let me start with this is the best pizza I've had with the exception of one of my life, good wings best salad I've seen or eaten,
I ordered thru their app don't do this! THE app canceled my order
THIS would not have been important but I ordered through the app because it had things my grandson would eat and generally I grab & Go and don't get time to think of his likes,
I tell my grandson I ordered from here he drops his game, walks to the door and said that's not what we usually get there but I'll wait outside
for his dinner which does not arrive I was very upset because he never puts that game down except for school..
my son walked and he looks at me he says get in the car, I walked in I look at these people I say you cancelled my order I explained to them the previous paragraph not only did they fix it, they improved my order free of charge it was better than I could have expected This experience helped the two of us bond thank you for being the kind of stand-up company that didn't ruin a special moment like that

Came to McAlester for a football game and decided to grab lunch before our 2 hour drive home. Everything was delicious! We had 3 different appetizers, all delicious and ordered a variety of pizzas and a kids chicken tenders. Everything was great. Super friendly and attentive staff as well!

Hidden Gem with fantastic food. I was pleasantly surprised as we looking for lunch while passing through Mcalester OK. It will now become a favorite stop for the family!

This little gem is hidden in the back of a small indoor shopping plaza, and could not have been more blown away by the service, the flavors, and the portions! Everything about this place was absolutely AMAZING! Would love to have taken more photos but ate it all so fast! DELISH!

Had the messy Jesse, Hawaiian habenero, Supreme. All were amazing. Wood fired. Chef owned. Came with complimentary bread. Thin style pizza with loads of flavor.

Maybe it's the wood-fired cooking, I don't really know. But this is the best place to eat in McAlester. Every menu item I've ever ordered was great!

Great tasting fresh pizza here. Appetizer was good as well. (Later post) Had the ribeye today, AMAZING!
