Super cute spot! I’ve passed it a thousand times not realizing what it was. Parking is scarce. I heard it was a good coworking space, but I just popped in because I was nervous for my car. I ran in just for a bagel but it was such a pretty place, I’d love to return! Bagels are from rubys, they’re incredible. Great service too the barista was an angel

Really tight fit in the aisle to order with my wheelchair. Kind of wish the drink had been delivered like the delicious biscuit was. Got an iced latte of sorts. Nice place! Food was ridiculous 🤤

Very funky and comfy place. Enjoy the outdoor area in an early morning. The vanilla latte is good, highly recommended.

My first time at Mercantile and Mash was amazing. Kate and Jolie went above and beyond in my experience here, and in helping others enjoying their time at this coffee shop. While all of the other workers were also amazing, these two stuck out as a guest had spilled her coffee on herself without even drinking any. The guest did not go and ask for another or for help, but having witnessed this i decided to go up to the coffee bar and tell them. They immediately made her a new coffee and brought it to her. I did not expect anything in return, Kate went above and beyond by giving me a cookie. I will defiantly be coming back to this shop, and bringing my family when they are in town!

The Mercantile food and bakery are terrific. We got to sit at the bar overlooking the area where they make all the baked goods. They also have a meat section where you can purchase meats to take home. I would highly recommend this location for the food and casual vibe. The vanilla honey croissant was to die for and fish tacos were tremendous.

Such a cool place just at the bottom of the Ravenel Bridge! I love the brick building, lots of great menu options, and everyone was kind. I had the largest slice of avocado toast imaginable and it was amazing. I will definitely be back!

First time here today with my wife on our honeymoon. She had the avocado toast and I had the huevos rancheros wrap - both were so delicious! Great coffee, chai tea, service and atmosphere as well. We will definitely be back!

Great spot for working remotely with lots of seating and free wifi. My chicken biscuit was pretty good. Didn’t love the espresso (a little too fruity and acidic for my taste), but it was well made. Good crema and mouthfeel.

Went for coffee and a small breakfast which was fabulous. Great spot to grab a coffee, a little bite or to post up and do some work. Also love that they have parking-huge perk in Charleston!

It's an amazing cafe that is actually worth the prices. Large food portions, and they just changed to a new coffee bean that is delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful, shoutout to Kendall, Caroline, and Jolie!

This place was so good! Definitely try the huevos rancheros wrap, the charred tomato salsa is divine! Aesthetic of the restaurant is so warm, can tell a lot of attention was paid to detail. Tried the latte which was delicious, all cafe items look great!!!

I stopped in to do some grab a coffee and do some work. Parking and tables are plentiful, and the almond milk latte was great. However, Merc and Mash plays very loud music and gets very busy. If you’re like me and like working in this kind of environment, then you’ll enjoy it here.

Merc & Mash is a great place to come for breakfast or work when you have a little bit of work to do. The food is really good and the free chips with certain items are a nice perc. Highly recommend if looking for a place to chat with someone or work in a fun upbeat environment

The avocado toast was next level!!!! Never had anything like it, SO GOOD. I’ll be dreaming of it until next time. Also I never leave reviews but this deserves it.

M&M was the place that confirmed my move to Charleston in 2022. My favorite seating was right in front of the bakery, or outside. I would always grab a pastry or iced sugar cookie (if they had them), the avocado toast with a fried egg and salmon, and an iced Americano (all are extremely delicious). I would find comfort in reading or working on my laptop there as many people do, or just people watching in the rustic and cozy atmosphere. The atmosphere is unbeatable. The staff is great and hardworking and I was proud to call that "my" spot. I recently moved out of the state and still think about it to this day, which is why I am now posting from my new home in South Dakota. M&M is very versatile: bring family, friends, a colleague, invite your boss, or even just settle in with a book. Hopefully the parking situation isn't too bad ;)

This place is AMAZING! Hands down the best coffee I've ever had. We also ordered the ricotta bowl and avocado toast....both incredible. A visit here is a MUST.

Loved this place! The grilled cheese and tater tots were fantastic.Fruit bowl was fresh and very tasty.The staff was very nice and very attentive .The grab and go selection of food looked fantastic too.So much to look at ,lots of local products to purchase.
