Captain's Comics & Toys

So many comics and toys. We got a replica of the hoover board from back to the future. Such a great place. We visited from AZ for a convention and this company had a booth that introduced us to the shop.

A local institution. Basically my comic book store since childhood. Not always the lowest prices but they have a constantly updated, wide-ranging, large collection of quality items and the staff is the kindest and most knowledgeable of any comic shop I've ever visited. Truly a good place full of good people.

Good amount of comics and collectibles. The workers are friendly. A lot of loose BAF parts. Reasonable prices. They have Matt's to sit on for those perusing the $1 comics. I thought that was cool.

Captain's comics is the go to spot for anything comic related in Charleston. They have a huge selection, friendly and helpful staff, and fun events on a regular basis both at the store and around town with their convention. There's a reason why this shop has been around forever and I can't recommend it enough.

The best local comic shop in the area. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly as well as knowledgeable when it comes to starting points for jumping into comics or giving you recommendations if you're looking for something new. This is the place to checkout if you love comics!

Amazing staff and lots of great stuff. The store is clean and well organized. I've been to a lot of comic book stores and most are poorly organized and hard to navigate. Captain's is a definite stop if you are in Charleston and love comics and vintage toys.

I stopped in one day years ago because I loved comics and bought them with most of the money I made before hitting the real world. When I got to a spot in my life where I had the "disposable income", I stopped in to check the place out. I met Mike, the owner and the other people working there at the time. I was very impressed, you didn't have to eat, breath, and live comics to be appreciated. Over the years I have enjoyed going to see my friends that I have made there. The staff changes from time to time, but in a good way. The young fellas move on to something that they have worked towards and Captain's Comics has given them a great place to prepare for that. I moved from Charleston after 20 years in September, and I miss Captain's Comics more than any other aspect of Charleston.

Its been a few years since I got to go there since I was in the area. But the staff was nice and the selection was great \.

The best comic book store in the low country by far!!

Fantastic experience. Owner cut me a deal on 2 expensive box sets. I'd also like to add that their selection on all different franchises in both comic and figure form is insanely good. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Ive never felt such joy in a long time. Next time I visited Charleston, I will definitely be coming back!

This store is definitely the best option in the Charleston area (possibly all of SC) for casual readers and hardcore comic collectors. Staff is very knowledgeable and kind, and I have been shopping there for almost five years. Never had a poor experience. This store is a must for anyone who likes comics, graphic novels, action figures, etc... It's the place you wish was in your childhood neighborhood. 10/10.

I live in Georgia, but twice a year I visit Charleston to see my family. EVERY time I come up I stop at Captain's Comics. Mike and his staff have aways been friendly and helpful. I've called from Atlanta and put stuff on layaway. Great stuff, and a great mixture of Comics, lego, funkos, action figures from my childhood. If you're ever close stop by

I was in town visiting the city over this Memorial Day weekend and a friend of mine introduced me to this place. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. I found exactly what I was looking for. Whenever I'm in town, I'll definitely visit Captain's again.
