If you want good Wings in a creamy sauce that are not spicy but have a little spice, then these Dirty Bird Wings are for you with the bones easily coming breaking apart form the meat. The fries are like the apple peeler style cut.

The fish and chips (fries) were delightful and would be purchased again.

Desert was luscious in flavor.

The Yardsticks be either strawberry or blackberry, were that you could not get enough.

Blackberry crown chest pie was silky and smooth. Where you want the whole pie and just a piece of the pie.

I ate this all in one sitting at dinner.

Update Nov. 2023: Still as awesome as ever! Had live music tonight, really enjoyed it and the "yardsticks" dessert (like funnel cake) was amazing. This is an awesome place to hang out at night, so glad they have evening hours now. Not many places in town with good atmosphere, really nice.

Original Review: I love going here! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is amazing. Try the biscuit sliders first, the BBQ Ranch is my favorite with a perfect blend of salty sweet tang. The Dirty Bird is more sweet. The salads are always very fresh, crispy, and generous. They put a lot of thought into their menu. One of my favorite lunch spots.

Finally tried this place out after a couple of friends recommended it. I had the monte cristo and my friend had the wings absolutely delicious. Owners were very nice and the beer was good could have a better selection but was ice cold. Fries were crispy and delicious and the owner said the secret was the use real potatoes lol very friendly and nice people.

I ended up at Joe’s by accident. I had the Cobb Salad and Irish Nachos. (I’m not a salad person) the salad was good. It had halved tomatoes, avocado’s, chicken and more. Easy to eat and easier to take home. Forgot to take a picture. The Irish Nachos were amazing!! WOW. Not what I expected but surely my new favorite. ❤

My new favorite place to dine with family and friends. The warm inviting atmosphere is enhanced by deep dark wood interior decorated with an eclectic old world charm. Imported beers on tap, top shelf spirits, live music and the best food around; obviously prepared and served by folks that care about your experience.

Today was my second time eating here and it does not disappoint. I’ve never been a fan of pasta salad, but I’m impressed with this one! I wanted to kick myself for forgetting my leftovers on the table. If I didn’t live 45 minutes away, I would have went back for them! Not only is the food great, but so is the customer service. 10/10 recommend

The BEST vibes and my favorite lunch spot in town! I just went to Thursday night dinner and tried the chicken alfredo special, literally SOO good!! Everything always tastes so fresh and amazing. The service is the best it can get, and they really go out of their way to make certain you have a good experience. So glad to have a place like this in McAlester! Thanks Yardbird!

Enjoyed a quick lunch. The biscuit appetizer was wonderful! After the decadent start, I had the Dirty Bird Salad which was really good too! The chicken & dumpling lunch special looked amazing & our fellow diners said it was really good. Only 1 of the 3 could finish it! Definitely put this restaurant on your list if you're ever near McAlester!

Food is great, handmade, and creative. Staff is friendly, and the owner is awesome. Spent time at our table to make sure everything was good. Not in a fake restaurant manager way, but because he's actually just a cool guy who cares about the food and the experience. My favorite place to go in McAlester!

Great menu! I look forward to the weekly specials as well. One of my go to places for lunch take out. The food is made fresh so it does take time to get your order.

Went here to try the dirty bird sandwich. Quite possibly the best sandwich I've had in my life.
The wings, meatloaf and biscuits were also excellent.
Staff was friendly, service was fast, restaurant was very clean.
Just an all-around good experience.

We were traveling through when we found this place. Their chicken biscuit sliders were so good. Biscuits were fresh. We had the buffalo deviled eggs and their Mac and cheese with white cheddar and bacon were also very good.

Joe makes some amazing food. The honey mustard sliders are amazing and can’t forget about the kettle cooked chips.

Absolutely the most enjoyable lunch! Positively delicious meatloaf, mashed potatoes, cooked carrots and the roll was all scrumptious! Yummmmm
