The Old Edgefield Grille

Atmosphere of a 5 star resteraunt. Please take into account that the restaurant is inside a house that is over 100 years old. I walked in wearing t-shirt and pants while everyone around me was suit and tie. I was seated and treated like I was in a suit and tie. The meal was amazing. The menu is just the right size to provide variety and still small enough that the quality is not lost. This is a locally owned business. It is not a chain or celebrity chef's restaurant. The chef is still a superstar and prepares everything to perfection.

Stopped in without a reservation and was immediately seated (we visited as soon as they opened so this might not be common). The staff was very friendly and set our table and were incredibly professional. Loved the decor and ambiance. My wife and I enjoyed our cocktails. The mojito had freshly picked mint leaves from their garden.

We didn't necessarily love the Asian dumplings, the flavor wasn't what we had expected having dumplings before. The salmon was good but the smoked Gouda grits lacked any real flavor of Gouda. My wife enjoyed her seafood chicken bog.

The food was beyond amazing with delicate yet rich flavors. We ordered fried risotto balls, steamed dumplings, seafood chicken bog, sea bass, and chocolate cake with ice cream.

The service was fantastic, and the place is child friendly.

I cannot wait to go back.

I went with my gg, she is very picky about her food btw. We both loved it! She loved the chx salad sandwich, the bread was her favorite haha( pretty sure it’s homemade).She also got clam chowder soup, she said the clam was just the right amount not to overpowering. I loved the mashed potatoes, oh my goodness; to die for. I also got the collards and cubed fried steak, Delicious! Definitely coming back again!

You can find it behind the square on your right, plenty of parking, nice atmosphere, good service and food. Ordered a hamburger 🍔 with bacon 🥓. FYI bottle beer 🍺 prices are different with each brand so ask first before ordering, enjoy

I have been to Old Edgefield Grill with girlfriends and had a great experience, but I had never been with my hubby. We decided to go for my birthday and I'm so glad we did. The restaurant is located in a beautiful old home right off the square in Edgefield, SC. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic night out. We started off with a shared appetizer of their Bangin' Shrimp Bites. The chicken bites were juicy and tender with a lovely, slightly spicy sauce. We ordered the Chicken Marsala and Country Fried Steak as our entrees. Both were delicious and plentiful. Chicken Marsala is a favorite of mine and this may have been the best I've ever had. I had enough to enjoy it again for lunch the next day. My hubs Country Fried Steak was so tender he could cut it with a fork. It was accompanied with creamy mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. The service was impeccable. Our meal with a glass of wine and tip was under $80. The only thing that might add to the experience would be soft music in the background. We will definitely add OEG to our favorites list!

This place is awesome, you have to try it. Take a country drive to edgefield, SC..it's look like a small town, but this restaurant is big on food quality and service. Very pleasant atmosphere.

We were in Edgefield for one night and were happy to find the Old Edgefield Grill. The staff were all lovely people who provided good service. There was a good selection of appetizers and salads. We shared the fried green tomatoes that were prepared perfectly. I enjoyed my shrimp and grits and my husband had the crab cake meal that he liked. We both had more than enough to eat. We will definitely eat here again when we return to Edgefield.

Absolutely terrific! And very reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back soon. You get the same quality with their take out.

This place has food from burgers to steak. We had country fried steak and shrimp scampi both excellent.fresh hot bread and impeccable service at good price. Will definitely return. Highly recommend.

Great burgers!!!! Friendly staff with complete knowledge of the history of the old house used as the restaurant. Quick, efficient service. Try their fried okra. You will love it!

I’ve been here 2 times and had great food each time. Fresh vegetables with meals and a generous portion of food. The ambiance was delightful. The restaurant is in and old Victorian house. Even sitting and the porch afterwards was a treat.

If you're looking for a nice, friendly, relaxing atmosphere with awesome food.. The Old.Edgefield Grille is the place to go. I recommend it for a nice romantic setting as well as a great family gathering. Makesure to call ahead for reservations. Great place for an awesome dinner or lunch.

My husband and I eat here whenever we're in Edgefield, and it's always excellent. The hostess is very pleasant, and I love the old house. They have a good variety and consistent quality.

Such enjoyable lunch, the food was excellent. The service was excellent very lax atmosphere. If you’re in the area stop by you won’t be sorry.

Great food and service. One member in our group that is their 70's described the Fried Green Tomatoes as the best they ever had! The Shrimp and Grits were fabulous. Two other people had salads and were very happy. The servic was exceptional.
I recommend and look forward to our next visit.
