Great tail if you can find it. Especially during the fall winter and spring when they have the canyon closed. It's quite an ordeal to find the trail from the parking lot. There are a couple of sketchy places where it's straight down and the trail is eroded. But I run this trail all the time. Not a lot of people on it because it's hard to find. I love this trail for a quick hike and trail run back to the car.

Very nice trail for the first part (maybe half of it) gets really nasty the second half. If you want to brave the whole thing, I recommend bringing a gps (even on your phone) and pants (because of the plants that will cut into your legs).
It'd be awesome if the trails was improved all the way to river someday!

I tried this when there was still too m.j much snow. Only made it to the first remains of the old aqueduct.
