Select Specialty Hospital - Savannah

I cannot say enough about the professional, compassionate care my wife received during her lengthy stay at Select ! For both her and for me it was truly a blessing!
I will not attempt to mention all the wonderful Nurses Aids, Nurses , Therapists, and Case Manager by name as I might leave outstanding caregiver out.
Needless to say, that if someone is scanning reviews to help select a place for a loved one , you may have confidence in the care that your love one will receive from these dedicated professionals.

I cannot say enough about each and every one of the staff at Select. The care my Dad received was outstanding. The nurses and staff went well above and beyond when they didn't have to. Being out of state and managing his care from afar, is nothing less than challenging, but with through communication about every aspect of his care we made it and he is being discharged today! I wish I could acknowledge each member, but Gail and Teresa are whom I had the most contact with, and I cannot thank them enough for making this unprecedented time manageable.

My mother was placed under their care after being vented. After only 48 hours with her RTs Alexis and Raphael she was off the vent. She remained for several weeks following, where she received golden standard care. Every single person working there, put endless amounts of effort into our mother. Every one was always so loving and caring. We had so many wonderful teachers to help us get our mom home. She received excellent therapy and wound care. Her critical care team caught and treated every issue. Her caseworker advocated tremendously until she was in rehab. I went along side her to learn her care, but I was able to teach their staff ways that Select had shown me, which were better for moms needs. We are thankful to God we were placed in their care. My mom is doing much better thanks to all of them. ☀

My Mom was taken here from another hospital after being in a coma. The care and patience we received was wonderful. The nurses and doctors were great. They were very informative the five weeks we were there. We thank God and Select Specialty Hospital that my Mom will make a full recovery. The only negative thing we have to say is that more CNA's are needed. Other then that our experience was great!!

This has been a blessing and a pleasure to be treated at this facility. The doctors, nurses, therapists, and staff where very pleasant and accommodating. I would highly recommend using this facility. Room was clean and kept clean throughout my 2 week+ stay.

First Rate Care! The nurses are exceptional! They had me back to myself within a week. Would highly recommend! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING! From the first day until the last day they rock!

Working in the medical field I was aware of the type of care my father would get at Select Specialty so that helped make my decision for admission easy. As a family member I experienced the best quality care from everyone for my father. In matter of two weeks he was off of the ventilator and on the great road to recovery. There were many employees that took part in his healthcare but there were quite a few that stood out. Besides the physicians, Al (RN), Geraldine (CNA), Carol (Manager RT), Katrina (RT), Sandra (RT) Tina (PT), Megan (OT), Morgan (Lead Case Manager), Rosemary (Admissions) have gained my heart!! I would like to say Thank you to each one of you for going above and beyond the call of duty. I am glad I made the decision for my father to be in your care as a patient.

After spending two weeks in Candler Hospital in Savannah, one week on Med-Surg. and one week in PCU my wife was transferred to Select Care LTAC on the fourth floor for two additional weeks. A hospital within a hospital. I was a little apprehensive about this move not knowing anything about Select Care but I was soon made to feel at ease and felt my wife should have been here sooner. A team of professionals were at her side from the beginning. The nursing staff, respiratory, physical, and speech therapist, the team of doctors, down to the cna's and environmental staff were all excellent and exhibited professionalism beyond compare. I have been in the Medical Field for 30+ years and I call it like I see it, good or bad. My wife could not have received better care anywhere else. I could not have been treated or received better support than what I received here at Select Specialty Hospital of Savannah. Thank you Select Care for making us one of your many success stories.

I was given meds that I am allergic and was transfered to select specialty hospital. The staff are exceptional, loving, caring and helpful in all aspects. Never had to ask for anything twice. When u call they come quickly. No complaints. Very satisfied with my treatments and therapy. Rooms were clean and all needs well met. If you have to go to a rehab hospital, I would recommend Select Specialty.

My sister was transferred to this location after being on a ventilator after suffering from COVID-19 in the worst way. I was assigned a case manager named Scarlett Jones to assist with her transfer to this location. Scarlett worked tirelessly to ensure the transfer took place. Without this transfer, my sister had a slim chance at surviving (my sister was already on the ventilator for 15 days). Select Specialty staff were all very professional and had a team of experts to provide the special care that my sister so desperately needed. My sister's team consisted of Aaron Montover (nurse practitioner), Teresa Dawson (case manager), Sean Bretz (Physical Therapist), and Brad Fehrle (nurse). This team (with God's help) saved my sister's life and I will be forever grateful for their support, patience, and professionalism!! The real Fabulous-Five --Scarlett, Aaron, Teresa, Sean, and Brad! I highly recommend this location if your loved one is in need of a great LTACH facility in GA.

I know this is a great hosp. N they stay busy. But lemme tell u about our social worker case manager etc. MISS KATRINA LEWIS..omygdness. She is a professional in what she do. Ever since i was there she has been on top n beyond with our case. When i gt there n requested for her, she b right there in no time. I just want to tell whose her boss that they didnt make no mystake choosing her to be our case manager. We luv u katrina, pls dnt ignore my calls, even though we leaving..🙃😍

Mr. Williams, my husband came to Select Care as a patient nearly dead. If we did not have this facility my husband probably would have died. The services they render here is great and full of Care, Compassionately and Love.

If you are unsure if you should take this step to your path of recovery...know that this rehabilitation facility is filled with caring and knowledgeable staff.
The staff has made me feel so comfortable.

Our son have been to select specialty two times now and our experiences have miracles both times. The first experience was 5 years ago our son was in our local hospital didnt know what to do. Our son was on ventilator heart wasnt strong the local hospital attempted several times to remove him on ventilator everytime it fell. The local hospital didnt have Respiratory Specialist Doctor and didnt have no how to help our son. A Doctor recommended we get our son to select and we did. This is were our first miracle started immediately they got him off ventilator next project get his motor skills. These techs went to work got him up and moving. The one thing i have not mention all these actions was done with no help from our son he is mentally ill and cannot communicate with nurses techs or doctors. But my God they gave us a blessing he left select in the greatest physical shape of his life. The second miracle now 5 years later my son got pneumonia in both lungs from a cold he got in the flu season. Well he passed out at home paramedics took him to our local hospital they had to clear pneumonia and again put in ventilator and again could not remove ventilator.But credit to our local hospital they saved his life and put him in a state of health so we could take him to select. We knew if we could get him to select we could get our son back in good health. Again select did there miracle with the help of God our son is off ventilator. Therapist got him walking and smiling again. Today we going to go home with our son healthy and smiling. THANK GOD FOR USING SELECT SPECIALTY FOR OUR FAMILY BLESSING AND MIRACLE. We are very pleased with the care that my dad receives while in the care of the staff at Select Specialty Hospital of Savannah. All of his medical needs are met in a timely and professional manner.

The entire staff have been extremely caring and loving to my mom. Highly recommend Select Care Savannah.
