Lucas Theatre For the Arts

The theater is beautiful and well preserved. The balcony had a ton of legroom, which can be hard to find in old theaters. Everything sounded and looked great.

Had a fabulous experience on the Paranormal Investigation. Our guides, Kat & Ivy, were amazing. They gave a very informative tour and were very helpful during our time there. I'm excited to say that we did have some interaction with spirit. Would live to do this again sometime.

Great acoustics and friendly, helpful staff. A bit of a long line that wraps around the building for big events. Only credit cards are accepted at consessions.

What a beautiful old theater! If you have the opportunity to see a movie, concert or anything here, do it!! The staff and security always do an excellent job!

During that, during the Savannah music festival, it was wonderful. The sound system is awesome. There's not a bad seat in the house. It was my first time. And I was very happy and it was such a beautiful place.Absolutely beautiful

SCAD students put together the scenery, lighting, directing, and acting. The play was about a murder mystery play being performed and lots go wrong. Very slapstick comedy. I've seen broadway plays with dramatic actors, musicals ect and this was a great time. Laughed throughout it. Scenery very nice. Lots of funny situations. Very impressed with actors amd will definitely go again. Parking garage nearby. Tickets inexpensive. Seniors were $15.

Beautiful theater. We stepped back in time and enjoyed the archittecture and great performance. We took our kids to watch the Nutcracker, the performance did not disappoint and the seating was very comfortable. The consetions where well stocked and we enjoyed both wine and beer, along with the usual fair like popcorn, candy and soft drinks. The only thing that was surprising was the number of people who chose to move into empty seats at more expensive spots in the theater because not one was checking for tickets. We will definitely visit the Lucas again and hope to be regulars.

An amazing theatre. It is like stepping back in time- only with amazing, unbelievable sound. The Lucas theatre plays great old movies which are so fun to see on the big screen. The staff is great, the concession stand is fantastic(they serve wine and beer!), and the theatre itself is like a piece of history come to life.

Came to hear Béla Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart at the Savannah Music Festival. This theater is beautiful with comfortable seats that all offer a great view of the stage. A wonderful concert experience.

What a beautiful little theatre! The view is great from any seat. They do have a small concessions counter that serves soda, candy, and beer. My husband and I stopped in for fright night! They had merch, live commentary, specialty beer and more! If your in the area and would like to have a nice little outing, I suggest stopping by and taking a movie break here!

Beautifully restored historic theater. Acoustics were good and sight lines were also good. If you aren't walking, parking can be challenging.

Great venue for a concert! Lucas is beautiful and well kept. Acoustics are fantastic. Staff is friendly and efficient. We will definitely return for other events in the future.

Historic spot in a historic city. We were fortunate enough to visit during thw 25th annual SCAD film festival and took in some shorts and feature length films. Visiting venues like this that have facilitated such expansive changes in art, technology and culture over time is a great memory to take home

The Lucas theatre is beautiful, historic and just an amazing place and experience. I went to the World premiere of Outlander Season 4 there during the 2018 SCAD film festival.

First time at the Lucas Theatre and we enjoyed the entire experience. Ticket agents were very nice as were the security and concessionaire staff. The best part was the lovely theatre with comfortable seats and plenty of leg room. We enjoyed the pre-event organ performance and were very pleased with the picture and sound quality of the movie we saw. Thanks for a great evening out, we will be back.

This place is absolutely breathtaking! It's like stepping back in time when so much attention to detail was paramount.

I love this historic beautiful theatre. The architecture inside is breathtaking. I find myself staring up at the beautiful ceiling, toward the side walls, and the balcony, etc for a long time and often something new catches my eye. I was there 3 nights in Feb 2023 and Feb 2022 listening to authors speak for the Savannah Book Festival (which in itself is a fantastic, well organized event). I like to arrive early just to soak in the beauty of the venue. Consider doing the same during your visit there. As an aside, there is a nice concession stand with wine, beer, and water.

Wonderful experience watching the Moscow Ballet perform "The Nutcracker". Should have chosen the 2nd row balcony instead of the 1st. The railing obstructed the view slightly. This picture was taken holding the camera high. Otherwise, it was delightful!

Venue is fabulous. Staff is helpful. The only negative is that they do not take cash at the concession stand.
