Our Guide did a fantastic job presenting the Battle of Savannah. He was very well prepared and this was the highlight of the museum. His presentation was well worth the price of admission. I would recommend to all history lovers to attend the museum when in Savannah.

Good museum. Grab the 3 pass museum for $20 if you enjoy history so you'll save some money instead of spending $15 at each one. You get to choose out of 6 museums which three you'd like to go to!

This ended up being a favorite stop of ours while in Savannah. Our tour guide Harris was extremely knowledgeable and made our experience so fun. Very interesting, and we will definitely bring our families here next time we are in town

I would highly recommend taking the tour with the guide, especially if you have children with you. He is so engaging and really makes history come to life! You'll even get a chance to reenact a battle on the actual battlefield! A wonderful way to get kids interested in historical events.

Great small museum focused on Savannah. Nice display about the girl scouts. It was very interesting to learn that 1200 Georgians volunteered and served with the British forces to defend Savannah against an attack from the American revolutionary and French forces. I knew the revolution split the country but very little is usually said about the loyalists who fought for King and Country against the rebels.

Absolutely awesome!!! We didn't realize there was a guided tour of the history involved and we're so glad we caught it! (purely by chance) The tour guide was very knowledgeable and amazing! We had so much fun and we didn't even know what we were in for! It's a great way to retain information - learning by doing 👌 I would recommend the guided, interactive tour; it's so worth it!
Shout out to our tour guide, you're awesome!

I was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed our time here. I knew Savannah had a lot of Civil War history, but I was ashamedly unaware of how much Revolutionary War history is here. We went to the reenactment (which I generally hate) but this one was very interesting. Our tour guide was well versed in the history of that time and was quite a good story teller. I would recommend this for a nice afternoon. You can get through the museum quickly, but the reenactment will take you another 45 minutes at least, and I think it was worth it.

Very cool place. If you're lucky enough to be there when they have the tours of the "Railroad Presidents Cars" it is well worth the time. The employee doing the tour when we were there was VERY knowledgeable. She spoke about the train cars as if they were her own children. Extremely nice woman.

Nice 60-90 min walk through on the city's history. Worth your time. Free parking on Sundays. It's not where Google Maps puts it though. It's a couple blocks to the east.

A family friendly venue. Don't hesitate to buy the bundle packages. We didn't and soon regretted it

Great museum. Plenty of exhibits and guided tours all included in the low price of admission. First time there and my 8 says it is better than the children's museum.

This was the best thing we did in Savannah! You have to make sure you do the tour when you're there! Without it, the museum isn't nearly as interesting. The Revolutionary War tour was outstanding! The young man who led our tour made the whole trip worth it! He was interesting and engaging! He brought history to life!

My boy loves trains, so this place is his happy place. And the last time we went they have the "harry potter " theme event. It's pretty cool. Good place for the whole family to go to.

With live people giving tours of the museum and the outlining homes of Frogtown (Morgan our guide was excellent) the museum was very focused on the people and places in Savannah. All the wars as well as the development of the Girl Scout chapters in America show the real people story of history in Savannah. Frogtown shows the diversity of the working class looking to help each other as well as themselves to survive and build a better life. Minorities based on color and country came to try and find a job and a home around the train repair yards. We got to walk to 2 examples of the he's of the real workers seldom left over from "progress". The homes of the wealthy are nice to see but the worker class homes need to be preserved as they tell the Savannah story too.
