We like to go there and kids love it too. Very satisfied with our pediatrician.

The docs are amazing the staff is so good, the make sure to take all the precautions for covid ,I'm really happy I take my kids here .

Our family has been going here for years. We recently went in for a child's annual well-check, and were hit with a surprise co-pay after the fact. The bill shows a charge for an office visit, stacked ATOP the well-check.

We called their head offices about this, then the local branch we visited. They indicated that because we'd answered the question of "Is there anything else you'd like to discuss?" (to which we voiced asthma concerns), that they were authorized to bill for an additional office visit; something which has never happened before, and for which extra charges (as a result of answering) were never made clear to us at any time.

They said there are signs posted, and that this is why they're in the right to bill 1 visit as 2. To be frank, we've never seen the signs in question (and are constantly reading the walls in these sort of places -- what with one of us currently battling cancer), don't think this alleviates their responsibility for surprise billing, and are confused as to why we've never been hit with said charges prior to now; since we ALWAYS answer that question.

We spoke with the insurance company, who made clear they can't control how the services are billed; they can only respond to the bills as they receive them. This, at least, tracks.

Since the bill was an absolute surprise to us, and their offices refuse to correct the issue, we're leaving this review here as a warning to all current & potential patients: Should anyone at Cook Children's ask you a question in addition to the paperwork you completed, be sure to ask them if there's an extra charge for answering BEFORE you answer; particularly when it comes to Dr. Sanborn (the person responsible for coding this visit the way it was done).

We can also speak to this now being a well-known abuse of other patients, as, when we called, we were immediately asked if this was about one of those surprise $30 co-pay charges.

We paid the fraudulent charge to prevent it negatively affecting our family's credit, but are still in the process of seeking help from the regulatory agencies. In the meantime, again, our advice to you would be: Never answer any questions asked of you in this facility without first determining if you'll owe extra money for answering.
