Gateway Park & Horse Trail

Nice spot for a walk with a loop around the pond or the longer trail. Plenty of nice spots on the bank to stop and fish for a bit too.

Nice place to take a morning stroll or jog around a pond. It’s about half a mile around the whole pond. I felt pretty safe as a single female, with mace of course. A few vehicles were parked with people resting in them. No one bothered me.

Great place for fishing! Photoshoot, cooking out and just watching the sun set! Oh yes let's not forget to feed the duck, they are really friendly or really hungry.

Love this hidden gem of an escape.
However the City or TPWD should capture those beavers that have damaged some trees along the west shore line.

Besides that, its a wonderful place for a picnic or a jog down the trails.

My family came to enjoy Labor Day. My Grandson had never gone fishing. This was a great place for him to try and he loved it!

Park is always clean .. The pond needs to be stocked caught one fish in 3 years could be the pond not spawning or it could be the Fisherman

It's a beautiful spot. Would be much nicer without the trash.

Tiny lake, cool little grills, a small "pier", concreted walk, some people fish, don't know if there are any.
It's a small park near the highway.
Sad to see they removed a tree stump my son and niece enjoyed playing on.
It needs a couple of more large grills at the other end.

I love this place, nice and quiet park just outside of Dallas. The fish are abundant but you have to be using the right stuff. Carp, gar, cats, bass, and sunnies just to name a few. Couple spots that have shade on all sides as well as a nice walk path around the pond. Have seen some snakes lurking but it's a park in TX. If you walk through woods just wear a snake guard or use a walking/poking stick. Check it out highly recommend.

Real nice city park. Water in lake extremely low. Need lots more rain. Nice cookout areas with grills and tables. Need to bring your own everything including water.

Nice place to go walking! The trail around the small lake is about a mile. One side of the trail is completely shaded. Nice place to relax! Nice park benches and picnic areas.

Lot of space.. plenty grill's around... and one big area for birthday 🎂🎉 celebrate under roof....very clean...

I love fishing 🐟 🐟 🐟 🐟 here you could really relax great for picnics but most of all my kids love to skate at this park
