On June 12th of this year shortly after 12am three gentlemen from Station 6 responded to our call for medical assistance. I thought I had the flu and the EMT who was very patient (and all I remember is he was tall and nearly bumped his head on the ceiling fan) and the two fire fighters were also very helpful with my distressed husband. A trip by ambulance (my first and I’m retired) to the ER revealed I had Covid. If had not been for these gentlemen’s professional care and my husband’s insistence I don’t think I would be able to say thank you enough. Station 6 will always have my appreciation and support.

We had a house fire recently and these firefighters were so impressive with how they handled everything. They were first of all so kind to us, making sure we had everything we needed. Then they of course worked hard to put out the fire thoroughly. But what impressed me most was how they covered many of my belongings with a tarp in the front living room where the fire was, so it wouldn’t get damaged from all the water. Then they moved other things carefully out of the way the best they could, even moving our piano to the family room! They took down a nice large picture and carefully set it in the other room as well. I could not believe how conscientious they were! I felt I had to write them a review of how grateful I was to live near such great firemen. I’ve talked to a couple different restoration companies who see fires often and they have all been impressed when I tell them how this fire department handled my belongings. It was very above and beyond what they had to do. Thank you so much!

I kept smelling a strong burning plastic sort of smell that went away for a few days then returned and having been in a house fire as a kid I was really worried. All my friends kept urging me to call 911 and I said if I couldn't figure it out then I would. Sure enough I got home and settled down on the couch and the smell started again so I called and the guys came quickly and smelled nothing but were super respectfully and gave me some tips to locate the source and what to do if I saw signs of an electrical fire. That night I located the smell. It was a chemical smell coming from my kinesio tape that my physical therapists had reaped both shoulders with. I was so embarrassed but just goes to show you how kind and compassionate these guys are even with the silly calls they go out on.
