Had a great experience purchasing my first guitar in years. When I noticed a manufacturer flaw in the case I had purchased Erik, Jackson, and Brandon made sure that I was taken care of and went above and beyond in finding me a replacement. I will definitely be back as I continue to practice and play!

I recently purchased a new Jazzmaster Professional II from Sky Guitars on Reverb. The guitar was shipped promptly and arrived within 2 days as promised. They answered my questions on lowering the bridge post sale and even tried calling me to assist. I've been playing for over close to 40 years and appreciate the way they handled the sale. They're also the only online store to offer me a deal on the guitar. Excellent!

Sky Guitars in Denton Texas is the place to go for all your guitar needs. You won't find any nicer folks than Eric, Brandon, and Jackson to work with. They are so friendly and knowledgeable. I first found them last year when searching for an Eastman AC722CE acoustic guitar. Since then, I've taken many of my guitars to Eric who does the luthier work there. Every guitar has come out perfectly repaired and set up. Although there is a luthier near me who has been in business for years, I still travel from the DFW area up to Denton because of the attention to detail and quality of work that Eric does. I had a local luthier work on one of my guitars and even after two attempts he couldn't fix it right. So I took it to Eric and he spotted the issue within seconds! Also if you have a guitar to sell, then you can consign it with Sky Guitars to sell for you and thus bypass the hassel of trying to sell it yourself. They recently sold a Collings City Limits Deluxe electric guitar for me and they are working on selling two more of my acoustics. So if you live in the Denton, DFW or the surronding area, you owe it to yourself to make the drive to Denton and see the great folks at Sky Guitars. You will be glad you did!!!

This is the only guitar store I’ve ever visited with a 1st class shopping experience… here’s what I mean:

Let me start by saying this will be a big adjustment for those of you expecting to walk in and grab whatever Guitar you want off the wall to hammer away whatever classic rock song you feel the need to show off (sorry I had to lol)

When you see a Guitar, you are interested in they will take it over to the tech/luthier & have them check the tuning and basic setup and then bring the guitar back to you.

Because of this the store is not overrun by children that just want to jam out, you typically have musicians and actual shoppers looking for their next instrument.

It’s the only place in town you can find Eastman Acoustic guitars that I know of. (If you’re not familiar with this manufacturer, imagine getting your dream Martin or Gibson guitar at about half the cost).

They also carry Yamaha, Alvarez, Martin, among others.

~At the time of this review, there is a killer walnut back and sides Adirondack topped slope shoulder dreadnought from Eastman that is amazing.

These guys have been around for many years and are a pleasure to work with.

I LOVE SKY GUITARS!!!

I’ve always been keen on Eastman acoustic guitars, but never really found any in the wild. Sky Guitars selection of Eastman guitars was AWESOME and mind blowing! I was like WHAAAA???

Then, the nature in which the shop allowed people to handle the guitars is refreshing. Some would say strict/anal…I would say intelligent/wise…AND…that made me feel very secure in purchasing a guitar from them. I knew it hadn’t been carelessly handled by some rando.

Brandon was my salesman, but he wasn’t trying so sell me anything. He was just hanging out with me and my son as he helped me find the right guitar. What a super chill guy, and very understanding with my son who was a bit energetic the two times I came in. Most sales guys I’ve met while looking for guitars just seem like they don’t care that I’m there, but Brandon was there to answer any and ALL questions he could and actually made a connection with me.

The owner, Erick was pretty rad too! He was hard at work the entire time. He wasn’t just sitting around doing crossword puzzles. He installed a pickup and did a pro set up same day and did a fantastic job!

The guitar is a dream in every way (Eastman E10D), and the experience I had at Sky Guitars made it a pleasant treat as well. If I ever feel the need to get another guitar…I know where I’m going!
You can feel VERY secure about shopping or getting any work done at Sky!!

SKY GUITARS DOES IT AGAIN!

This is my second purchase from Erik and Sky Guitars in two months. My first purchase was a Eastman E10D, that Erik set up and installed a pickup in himself. It was all done and handled so pro!

Then, less than a week ago I was looking at their new inventory online and I saw they had the Eastman E10OOSS. I quickly reached out to Erik and asked him if it was still available and if so, if he could add an LR Baggs Anthem pickup to it. He said sure, shot me a great price (He did not gouge me), and it was out that day!

The guitar is exquisite and the fit and finish is primo! The Eastman E10OOSS is such a cherry and really sings! The set up was PRO (As usual), and the pickup was installed perfectly!

Lastly, when I bought the E10D last month they were very particular with how the guitars in house were handled. Some may not dig that, but that’s what gave me the utmost confidence in buying from them online. OH…and I bought this guitar sight unseen. It came in even better condition than I thought.

Do not hesitate to buy from Sky Guitars (In person or online), or getting work done by them. This shop is TOP NOTCH!! I’m glad their not closer because I would live there and buy way too many guitars.

Aside from Erik being the best luthier/repairman around, their selection of performance-ready guitars in every price range is extensive. No guitar leaves that store if it’s player-compromised in the least.
Every one of the guitars that you see there has been repaired, set up, modified, and/or bought from his store.

Excellent guitar and nut work with set up is as good as it gets. Everything from price to the performance of your guitar is second to none. Eric and gang do a phenomenal job of getting your guitar ( all mine have been Custom Shop Strats )set up how they should of been. I prefer Tusq XL nuts and have never had a problem.Their prices are hard to beat and turn time is a week or less.

Highly recommended and I’ve been playing for 60 years and they do it right!!!

Brought a guitar here for a switch rewire and a standard setup. Couldn’t be happier with the results. It plays and sounds 100% better than before. Will definitely be back in the future!

I would recommend Sky Guitars Music Store to any musician who needs a repair on his stringed instrument. This is the only place I go to for setups and repair. Eric Anderson knows what he is doing, and he does it very well. I gave him 5 stars and Eric has earned every one of them.

This store is rad. They have a lot of Eastman guitars as well as Fender-Squier. Really nice mandolin selection, a lot of mid range acoustics. They carry a plethora of pedals and their bass section is very nice for a fairly small store. They have their used stock kind of mixed in with their new stock, you might just find a hidden gem! I ended up picking up a used bass and they set it up and got me hooked up with a new bag. Great service and great store.

Perfect store and a perfect guitar setup, probably the best setup I've ever had. 5/5 stars; I will be back here for sure!

Took my acoustic guitar here for a setup. They did a great job and had it done within a week. Eric gave me a call to clarify a misunderstanding as well. I love supporting small local shops, and it’s good to know that here it is well worth your time.

Eric is a good dude. I am extremely pleased with his sales approach and excellent service. When my new guitar arrived, everything he said about it was true. It was in tune, the harmonics and intonation were spot on. Eric had done a free set-up and threw in a new pack of my favorite stings. Shipping was free. Often times, at a certain chain guitar shop, you realize quickly that you are more knowledgeable about the products they carry than the person who is suppose to be helping you. This is NOT the case at Sky guitars. Everybody I have dealt with has been well informed and helpful. Do yourself a favor and go see them. While you're there, play an Eastman. You won't be disappointed.
