Very long unloading times it takes approximately
Between 8 to 12 hours to get fully unloaded before you have an empty trailer in some cases it might even take longer than that and the BROKERS are well aware of that but obviously they will never mention about it.

Check in process

Live Loads /unloads only
Arrive 2 or 2 and a half hours before your appointment time because of the long lines and waits

Only use Lane 1 or Lane 3 for Live unloads
Do not park Block or use the Middle Lane
The middle lane is for Amazon trucks and Local deliveries and bobtails and drops and hooks

When arrived Don’t just sit in the truck you must walk up to the Guard shack and get checked in
Park your truck trailer take your paperwork find delivery reference number you must have a Delivery reference number trucks license plate
number and walk to the Guard shack and check In
On the Left where you see number 1 on the window.

You will be notified by the GUARD SHACK associates when they have a Dock door for you
Break the seal open the trailer doors back in to the assigned dock door Drop the trailer and bobtail it out, there is Flying J truck stop and TA truck stop near by
Amazon associates will contact you ones your trailer is fully unloaded and empty and ready for pick up

Now keep in mind like I mentioned before it is a long unloading process so get ready for that

Overall not a bad experience but I wish unloading process was faster and Better

The only one reason I am putting five star review to this place because staff members guard shack associates were very friendly and polite and honest about everything.

They unpacked my 2 boxes of over 150 items the same day they received it, checked them in and added them in stock the same day without discrepancies. Perfect

DO NOT COME HERE AT ALL. IF YOU’RE A LIVE UNLOAD CANCEL IT BEFORE ITS TOO LATE. I SAT HERE FOR 6 HOURS WAITING ON A DOOR. BY THE TIME I GOT TO A DOOR AND UNHOOKED I WAITED ANOTHER 8 HOURS I WAS HERE FOR 14 HRS THEN LIE ABOUT MY ARRIVAL THEY PUT 4:20pm to 4:30 pm ( my appt was at 1) THE MORE WE STOP TAKING THESE LOADS THE MORE THEY CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I PUT A 5 STAR SO THIS COMMENT CAN REACH THE TOP.

Perfect place to do your 34 reset while unloading your load. Just make sure you have enough food :)

I used to work here and it was a decent job. Great benefits that start day one and good amount of paid time off of work. Expect to work alot around holidays. It took me about 7 months to get hired. I ended up taking to drug tests because the first one expired. Don't quit your job if you have one until you get a start date. Work can be hard, but I had no problem. Not for everyone as there is a high turnover rate.

Dropping off my sister at work is easy. They make dropping off and picking up their employees so easy parking is always available they also have a designated area where you pick up and drop off employees so there's not traffic everywhere. Thank you Amazon for thinking of your employees and keeping them safe

Been here going on 6months. It's definitely survival of the fittest. You can't just call in you go off the time they give you. The first few weeks are really tough if your not use to working overnights or standing for 10hrs straight. Your 15min breaks are short because it starts soon as the time hit no Matter where yu are in the building or where you have to go..but other then that I meet new people everyday I've made great friends I get along great with my management..

When I first started in 2017 I love working and would do anything they asked of me. They cared about there people. That lasted a year and then things took a drastic turn for the worst. Moral and the love for it's people left the building. Nothing about the place is the same. They want to work you to death doing multiple jobs. But don't want to pay you. They gave a raise or should I say what they consider a raise. It was 15 dollars but they took the bonus we got every two weeks and the stock. So we basically end the end still making what we where making anyway. They built new robotics and trained people on them now I'm 44 and been working since I was 15. Any company I have ever worked for when it's new machines being built and need operators. They first ask if you would like to be trained for a new position. Then they tell you that it's a pay raise and change of job position. Not Amazon they tell you one lie on top of another lie get you in the position then tell you the truth and that your stuck in a position without any say . People stay getting hurt because no one is being trained right any more someone just lost there leg about a week ago because someone left him alone on a forklift after being there two days. I pray they get it together soon for the sake of the workers. But if you ask me if I would recommend working there. The answer is NO it's not safe and they are not willing to pay good workers who know how to do the job right. That's why the turnover right is so high be very careful

Very nice place and professional welcoming workers whens you check in they will called you as soon as they get a dock for you.

Read some really bad reviews, but was in and our in under 2 hours. I was 45 min early. Great staff. Super quick. Makes me wonder who writes these reviews and if they is something they aren't telling us. 5 star

My appointment time was 3:00 a.m. I checked in at 2:30 and I was back on the road by 4:00 a.m. unloaded the guard people were very nice and so was the people unloading me I wish all places could be this nice easy in easy out and parking beside their have a nice day

All these drivers dont realize that certain loads for the trailers get told to go bakc due to how the load is in the freight and if the clients cancels the appointment which isnt amazons fault. So stop whining and grow up, all of you are adults and need to act patiently. In the meantime everything is run great (inside) the building lol.

P.s. the crew that works inside day and night are doing their best to unload trucks. Due to not much room inside the building not all the time loads can be unloaded fast so that what makes truckers mad because of waiting times.

Say what you want about the Amazon experience. FTW1 is an awesome facility. Top notch leadership and the GM knows what he is doing and he is damn good at it. I have worked at other Amazon facilities since FTW1 and none come close to the professionalism I experienced at FTW1 way to go Brad!!

Looking for part time or temporary work, good place to start, but you will get a workout. Warehouse work hard on wherever you're weakest.

I love working at amazon it's a safe and clean place to work and the p.a. and am are kind and understanding and care about your thoughts , and it's a great place for kids to work in the summer time from age 16 and up...

I have been to this location twice and both times this place gets me offloaded quickly sure my last time took about an hour or so but it's not the worst considering I make delivery and pick ups all over the metro plex.
