Went here for first time last night. Not too busy and seated right away. Chips and salsa was very good! Great server. Had Birra tacos and Elote both of which were outstanding. I like that you pay by the taco based on how hungry you are. Definitely recommend.

I came here for happy hour, more for the margaritas I'd heard so much about than anything. They were pretty good! I got a flight of three of the fruit ones, and my mom got one with blueberry as well as another that I can't recall specifics on. The food we got was decent, but not memorable. I'd definitely go back. The prices were reasonable during happy hour!

This place is spectacular!! Me and my fiancé both work in the restaurant industry and we were absolutely shook by our server/bartender, Brian, and the food & drinks. Amazing, thoughtful, thorough service. Best margarita I’ve had in a long time, and I can’t recommend their French 75 highly enough - a perfect pairing with anything on the spicier side. Their sampler is a must for your first time. The ambiance is comfortable, cozy, and on trend. Perfect for a casual date night, a sexy party, or a girls or boys night. Always enjoy a visit to wild cactus cantina. They did such a beautiful job with the decor here. Excellent margaritas and a lot to choose from. Small food menu but good. Enjoyed everything I’ve tried so far here. Great happy hour deals. They also own Milpa in town. Highly recommend! Came most recently for National taco day and they had some great specials! Love the bacon wrapped shrimp and the birria tacos.

You don't know until you go! I never knew this place existed until I took my fiance to a birthday dinner here. The margarita flight and the taco sampler where AWESOME! Great food and with exceptional service makes this our "go-to" place! Repeat customers, for sure!

We love Wild Cactus Cantina in Denton! The owners have done a fantastic job of renovating the place. The decor and furniture give it a relaxed but mid-century modern vibe with a touch of old Mexico. The margaritas are top notch and the flavors are infused in-house. The birria tacos are my favorite! This last time we had the Huarache Mexicano which was delicious! Highly recommend for a night on the downtown square!

AMAZING, out of the park experience at Wild Cactus tonight. I don't know what was more phenomenal - the atmosphere, the food, the strength of drinks, the dessert, or the incredible service of Angel. I've had this spot on my list for a long time and finally got the opportunity to go and I am SO BEYOND pleased. Angel was amazing. gave great recommendations, and even was our evening photographer after we checked out. HIGHLY recommend the churro cheesecake 👌 DO NOT SKIP THE DESSERT!

What a great place just to hang out and have a cold drink. They have open garage like doors and we got our food quick! we ordered crawfish and a poboy sandwich! Yum!!! the craw fish was of big size and tasty! I would recommend that the seating is not so close to each other but other than that, it was great!

This place is so cute and the salsa is absolutely amazing! A Mexican joint is only as good as its chips and salsa and these were phenomenal! Our server Angel went above and beyond for our group! Also the mocktail I had was absolutely amazing and refreshing!

Small plates are my jam, which is why I love tapas restaurants and super excited about this tex-mex inspired tapas restaurant + margarita bar.

It has an industrial Bohemian vibe with a touch of midcentury. Exposed brick, talavera style tiles, mood lighting, sophisticated furniture, and covered top to bottom with live greenery brought to you by True Leaf Studio.

The table lamps are touch activated so you can dim or brighten up your space with a simple tap. There’s plenty of Insta photo opps, trendy seating spots for couples and large groups alike, and a large wrap around bar top with quick access to getting your rita on!

What we ordered:

✨Taquitos - a nice crunch with pulled chicken and salsa verde.

✨Quesadillas - you can’t go wrong with dillas.

✨Bacon wrapped shrimp - this was a big hit for the table.

✨Queso with steak tips - good flavor!

✨Chips & Salsa Board - make sure you have plenty of water because it’s gotta nice kick!

✨ Churro Cheesecake - delish.

✨ True Leaf margarita - a super refreshing cucumber rita was perfect to ease my tongue on fire.

✨Four Berry margarita - a beautiful and colorful rita, but a tad too sweet for me to drink more than one.

✨Ocean Water margarita - delicious and refreshing, comes in a cool black tiki cup!

✨Taco Tuesday $1.50 tacos - the birria are the best!

I can’t wait to see what this places does to this dark side of the square and I’m already waiting to go back.

My husband is Mexican and very very picky and loved this place. Everything is homemade, authentic and wonderful. the prices are very reasonable for the quality

The food was great. Try the Sampler if it’s your first time. The vegan protein was good and my gf said the chicken was as well.

Phenomenal food and drinks. I tell everyone I know to go try this place! Only thing I could ask for is to be able to order pickup without calling (I’m gen z…scared of phone calls ;)

This is the best Mexican style food I've had here in Texas...This place is a legit hidden jem just outside Denton square...The food was absolutely amazing and the service was awesome....I wish I could give more then 5 stars

Wonderful environment-- big windows, lots of space. The bartender is super creative and engaging -- so many fun margaritas and a good happy hour!

Really nice cantina. Music is always on point (MGMT, The Killers, Cage the Elephant, etc.) with great song choices. Their house margarita is the best I've had in Denton at that sweet price point of $5. Wait staff is nice and attentive. The vibes of this place are off the charts. If you like tequila or margaritas definitely check this place out.

Very prompt service, friendly staff, and clean environment. Kate was extremely kind and helpful when it came to guiding tequila and mezcal choices. 10 out of 10. Will be a repeat customer!
