Wow, the food has amazing flavor. Both the wagu and the chicken breast are mouth watering. Great atmosphere and service. The bourbon selection is top notch. Recommend an old fashioned, it goes well with the meal.

If you love a good steak, this is where it’s at. Ive been several times. Steaks, pork chops and always cooked the way you like and the taste has been consistent. Took our party of 30 and handled it, even with a full house.

During a visit to Ennis to look at a car, my family and I were in search of a local dining experience. After receiving unanimous recommendations for the Ruston Cattle Company from the dealership staff, we decided to give it a try. Despite living in the heart of DFW and Ennis being quite a distance away, almost what we'd consider countryside, our journey was well rewarded.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately struck by the authentic Texas atmosphere that resonated throughout the place. Live music set the tone for a delightful evening but still maintained a volume that allowed for easy conversation.

Although Ruston Cattle Company is primarily known as a steakhouse, I opted for the red snapper, a choice that I was thoroughly pleased with. The dish, accompanied by cream Swiss sauce and mushrooms, was cooked to perfection and the flavors melded together in a wonderful way.

The service throughout the evening was top-notch, attentive without being intrusive, and only added to the enjoyment of our meal. The staff's passion for providing a great dining experience was evident in every interaction.

For anyone seeking an authentic Texas experience with excellent food, wonderful ambiance, and friendly service, Ruston Cattle Company in Ennis, TX is a must-visit. Even if it means driving a bit outside of DFW, I assure you, it's a journey well worth making. Highly recommended!

First time there , everything was absolutely delicious!!! It is a bit pricey so be prepared, but in my opinion totally worth it! Out server was the absolute sweetest and gave great recommendations. 12/10!

It's one thing to have amazing food but it's another thing to have a great atmosphere and an amazing staff! Everything on their menu is amazing! When I went there tonight I tried something new, the Wagu Flat Iron steak did not disappoint! I also tried the Bourbon bread pudding and let's just say I bought it to share and I did 1 bite the rest I ate 🤣. I have to say this place has something for every kind of budget so don't hesitate to go in!

This is a much needed place along the 45 corridor. On my way back from Houston or Galveston it is a great place to stop for dinner and avoid Dallas traffic. The Big Board, the Big Rib are awesome. Their Wagyu selection is top notch and they have a ton of sides. Shrimp and grits were definitely worth it. We also had the burnt ends queso and the deviled eggs. The people of Ennis should be very happy that they have such a nice steakhouse in their area.

Came with my family, we were coming down to Houston TX, is a nice place, really enjoy the time, they have a bar, attention is great, atmosphere is awesome. I'll come back. I'll leave some pics. Nachos with the cheese dip sauce are great.

Food was totally worth the exit and worth the wait. We ordered the brisket stuffed baked potato and the grilled chicken salad. $31 dollars out the door. We left full and satisfied. Would definitely stop again if it was not almost 200 miles from home. I definitely recommend this place.

Yum!!! What a great place. The food and atmosphere were awesome. I had a bacon cheeseburger with a appetizer of cheese curds. The curds were delicious. Cooked just right and the breading was good. They came with a brown mushrooms gravy. It was a nice pairing. Now to the burger. Their patties are American Waygu grass fed beef. Seasoned to perfection and cooked to order. What an amazing burger! Lots of flavor. Next to try their steak lol.
Update: I tried their smoked 16oz ribery and it was amazing!!! For sure in the top ten steaks I have had.

Higher end pricing, but the food and service are much higher quality to match! The drinks were great and use of fresh ingredient mixers and flavor enhancers, set them apart. The quality and freshness of all the ingredients used really comes through in the flavors. The appetizers were all great, the smoked queso and chips was delicious. The steaks? Hard to go wrong with a Wagyu ribeye, (kinda their specialty), and were cooked perfectly to order. For dessert the Bourbon bread pudding was outstanding! Overall, we had a great time with friends, and ate like kings! Nothing bad to say about the experience here. If you're anywhere in the area you should check them out.

Another addition of 5 star or 1 star!....Got the Ruston burger, waygu double cheeseburger with bacon... I was absolutely impressed with the $15 burger.. With the hefty price tag comes larger expectations and was not disappointed! . Juicy, seasoned while being cooked... solidly in my top 5 burgers this year... The restaurant had a cool vibe, live music, great service...

Everything was delicious! It’s quite expensive but absolutely worth it! The smoked queso was so good as an appetizer, their steaks were so delicious and perfectly cooked. Honestly the best steak I’ve had in a while. And you have to try the wagyu sampler! The service was quick and our server was super friendly. We will definitely be back.

From the first minute you feel the welcoming of the place, and the team. So friendly so professional.
Food is another aspect of enjoyment, its so delicious and tasty.

Best steak I've ever had. Hands down.
Wagu Ribeye was a 10 out of 10. Tender, melts in your mouth.
Smoked Mac and cheese was 10 out of 10.
Loaded truffle mash potatoes were 10 out of 10!
Potatoes salad is different than your standard potatoes salad, but have an open mind, and it's really good.
Ask for their homemade chimmichurri sauce. It's on point!
Customer service was so genuine and friendly! This is a must try if you are stopping in Ennis Texas or passing through.

I was visiting Texas from Virginia. My niece took me there for my 60th birthday. I was skeptical at first but it was the best meal ever. That chopped Brisket sandwich was delicious 😋. I will definitely return when I'm back in Texas. From entering to leaving, simply the best.

Really good steak & burgers! On the expensive side for dinner. Limited entrees. Had live music which we enjoyed. I would recommend!

Unexpected surprise at this little gem. Off the beaten path in North Ennis off of i45 you will find this great little steakhouse. Our waiter Brittany was very attentive and super friendly. The food came out very quick including appetizers which was nice. We had the burnt ends, Wagyu filet and ribeye. No complaints at all!

I love this restaurant the steaks are divine, and have been returning weekly since I discovered it. The steak in the picture is the Wagyu NY Strip, it's actually larger than pictured because I can't help but to immediately start eating it as soon as it's put in front of me. So there is about half of it missing in these pictures. The last steak I had this good was in New Zealand. It's much better and cheaper than the upscale steak houses in downtown Dallas. Also definitely order a Smokey Old Fashion you will not be disappointed.

Great place to eat and the food was amazing. The only wierd experience is the bathrooms. They are quite confusing since you have pistols and pearls on top then one of them has all genders. In the bathroom you have a sign about woman sitting on the trophy. It was Hella confusing. Waitress was awsome
