Louie's Craft BBQ

Louie's Craft BBQ was recommended by a friend who STRONGLY urged (read: practically begged) me not to mention it to anyone else, to "keep the secret" as it were. Following up on such a recommendation thus became imperative, and on taking my first bite of Louie's brisket I fully understood (and yet, I feel compelled to praise the place all the same, hypocrisy thy be human). On my visit I very much enjoyed 1/4 pound of the aforementioned brisket, a remarkable pulled pork taco, and a "Texas-size" limeade. A brilliant light linch (for barbecue) that came in at under $20...and that included the crazy-delicious chicken wing taste that was generously offered gratis at precisely the right moment. Never to be forgotten.

Drove from out of state to visit family in Texas. Made a stop to Louie’s off Main St. Cool little vibe to sit and eat, service is good. The Mac n cheese is good and creamy, brisket is on point, the rice is not too bad I’m just a little picky.
What I truly enjoyed was the chopped brisket taco. It was light, nice balance with the pickled onions, cilantro, cotija cheese and complimented with the jalapeño creamy sauce.

Please make the cinnamon rolls part of the menu! A dessert option would be great to go with the bbq!

I used this place to cater my birthday and they did not disappoint! Everything was fresh and the staff is always so friendly. I’ve become a returning customer after having them cater.

Pork ribs on Saturday’s are the best around!

One of my favorite places to get delicious sliced brisket and BBQ sandwiches. I've been eating here for years and the brisket has always been consistently delicious. We usually order moist brisket with added burnt ends. The mac and cheese is a must order! Louie's makes one of the best mac and cheese around!

Was on the way back from San Marcos and decided to stop at a a place a little off the beaten path as far as BBQ goes. I voluntarily drove past Lockhart and all time great like Blacks, Kreuz, etc. to get here, and I'm happy to say that I was not let down. Their prices are in line with other places serving up similar quality BBQ and the service was great.

I ordered moist brisket, a link of sausage, charro beans and mac & cheese. The brisket stands toe to toe with any brisket I've had. It was much better than the last two times I've been to Snow's. The sausage was great as well. You could tell a lot of care went into making it and the flavor was spot on. The beans were tasty with the right texture, but not a stand out but I loved the mac & cheese, it was thick and creamy with a great queso blanco cheese sauce. Pickles and pickled onions were good, though the onions could use a little more bite, and while the sauce may not be for everyone I liked it being decidedly different than most other places. It has a good vinegar level, but a well balanced smooth sweetness to it as well. Everything was so good that after I was done with lunch I decided to order ribs to go for dinner.

It's a bit of a drive for me to make a trip just for it, but you can guarantee any time I'm driving past Buda I'm going to stop at this gem.

I would absolutely recommend this place!! The pork ribs and the brisket were delicious: the seasoning, taste and texture were spot on! The sides were also very tasty! The seating area is very pleasant and the service was great! It really shows how the team cares about the food being put out! Had an amazing experience here and will come back for more!

Good and happy-face service. Good quality product. Nice seating area and nobody! Pretty calm during the week and their meats are really good. I had some lean brisket with sausage and side potato salad. I looked for something green as a side because when I’m having some bbq, I need something to make it easy to digest and make it light. Like a salad or some veggies would be amazing. But overall this place is rocks!

the best brisket sandwich i’ve ever had. hands down the best brisket in town. & im very picky about brisket. the sourdough bread on the sandwich was amazing! i’d eat this all day over valentina’s! they’ve gone down hill since they moved from manchaca to buda. we ate Louie’s around 6:00pm.

Hands down best BBQ around! So good I’d drive an hour and a half on a week night to come eat their food! Their Street Corn is delicious, their tacos are practically a burrito and their brisket chili was amazing! I can’t say enough good things about this place! The staff is always friendly and the food comes out promptly!

This outdoor BBQ trailer near main Street Buda is awesome. Food is great. They have a baked potato with your choice of meats that is huge. There is limited parking but lots of spaces on main Street. This place is great for a casual date or to meet up with friends.

The food is on point here. You won’t be disappointed. The chopped brisket sandwich is huge, so is the Texas Two Step potato. The Mac and cheese was sauced perfectly and wasn’t the least bit dry like a lot of places. Seriously, come here.

Wow!! I had the Texas Two Step sandwich. Brisket and pulled pork with slaw and pickled red onions. The sandwich was packed with meat, the slaw and onions were the perfect crunch and complement to the meat. It was amazing. I'm still thinking about it two days later. Best pulled sandwich I have ever had. If you are driving anywhere remotely close to Buda, TX it is worth the drive for this sandwich.

Taco plate and sausage sandwich were delicious. The owner came out and asked how everything was. Nice guy!!!! Outside dining is fantastic. If you were shorts toss some mosquito repellent on.

So delicious. Spot on. Affordable. The outdoor seating is a great addition. This was recommended by a friend. Amazingly FAST. The counter person said “we’ll have that out in a few moments.” And I thought, “Yeah, right?! This is a food truck. Isn’t it a minimum of 10 minutes?” It was less than two minutes. I couldn’t believe it.

I'm pretty picky with my brisket. I like the moist stuff with a great bark. Like what you get at Cooper's and llano coopers and New Braunfels blacks... This was every bit as good. If not possibly the best brisket I've had in a while

This food was so delicious! Why am I only now finding out about this lil gem!? I got the brisket baked potato, the boyfriend got the sliced brisket sandwhich, and we shared the street corn. The potato was packed to the max with goodness and the corn provided the perfect side. The boyfriend said the bbq sauce was one of the best he has had. Definitely coming here again.

Love this que! I recommend the brisket tacos are the sandwich. The street corn is amazing too. This is the first time I tried them since they moved from the Brodie location. I have to say I really dig this one. It's closer to my home and offers more shade and better ambiance then the last location.

Louie’s is always a go-to for us and worth the trip from Austin. The brisket is always moist and flavorful. The sides are great as well. The elote and Mac and cheese are our favs

We enjoy their food ❤, we always get the nachos, baked potatoes, and Mexican corn.

The customer service is always nice, the atmosphere is turning to a more of a dining out experience (more patio furniture).

The parking is a little cramped, so we don't usually park in their parking area, but other than that, we always come here when we crave barbecue 😉 😋. Thank you.
