Pie Shack ATX

This pizza is AMAZING!! I have never had pizza as delicious as the pizza from Pie Shack. I used the Pie Shack as the caterer for my wedding and I cannot express my gratitude enough! They were outstanding---truly they did an amazing job. The set up was perfect and the truck as such a fun addition to the fun wedding vibe. Everyone was obsessed with the pizza and could not stop complimenting it! They made sure to pack me and my husband up to-go pizza for us to eat later because I did not get to eat as much as I wanted with all the running around during the wedding! They pumped out fast, quality, and delicious pizza until everyone was stuffed! There was never a time that anyone was waiting for pizza. The salads were amazing and I will never go anywhere else for wood fired pizza! Jared so so helpful, always responded to questions, adapted to my ever-changing guest count, and always was willing to have a phone call to go over details or worries! I knew I wanted a fun, delicious, and slightly different wedding food for dinner and I am so thankful that I found pie shack!! I highly recommend you use them for any event you have or just to grab a pie (or 2 or 3) for a date/lunch/really anytime!!!

Awesome, classic wood fired pizza! Ain’t nothing like it! We got the Bianco and pepperoni added. If you loooove garlic, the Bianco is the way to go!

I cannot say enough positive things about Pie Shack ATX! All of our guests said that the pizza at our wedding was phenomenal. In addition, Jared was so easy to work with. In the midst of stressful wedding planning, he put me at ease from our first phone conversation and I stopped looking at other caterers. On the day of the wedding, he could not put the truck where he had planned. They quickly created a solution and I didn’t even know about it until later. I highly recommend them for any wedding/event catering needs! We also frequently visit the food truck in Buda and have always enjoyed our food.

I am genuinely heartbroken that Pie Shack is closing (on 12/31/2021). It is amazing pizza, and nothing else in the area really compares. They set the bar very high.

I'll always cherish the times I got to spend with their pizza. I'll pour one out for all the lost, crispy, wood charred crusts.

A favorite date night taste adventure for my wife and I. The crust is delicious and the topping varieties never fail to surprise and delight. Love having such delicious pizza right here in Buda.

Wow. After spending a decade in New York, we craved this kind of pizza—and it did not disappoint. The crust is perfect. Was worth every penny, plus the people working here are so sweet to everyone.

Good pizza, not worth $14 in any situation and for that reason will never eat there again.
Pros: the truck was really cool looking. The pizza did taste good. It was salty but appropriately so. The sauce was good and the toppings were good. The crust was a 3/5 so not bad but not great.
Cons: that was NOT Neapolitan style crust. Neapolitan crust does not have oil in the crust no matter who you listen to. The price is way too high. I appreciate the obedience to Neapolitan's theme of light toppings but the flavor profile was off entirely. For instance the Bianco needed lemon and/or basil to really finish it off. I came within 15 minutes of closing to get a call in and had to beg the girl to talk to me so I could tell her about the call in. The presentation was also off. The pizza lacked dimension. I like a thin crust but this was a 2D pizza with mozzarella that looked like pigeon poop.
If they changed the price to $8-10 (the ingredient cost per pizza cannot be more than $3 so this would still be 3x ingredient cost) and took the oil out of their crust I would probably eat here again. It is however the best pizza in Buda (for whatever that's worth).
