I'm from Waco and there are no long term care facilities in town anymore. With all the choices between DFW and Austin, I'm so glad I chose the Kindred Tarrant County facility. The nurses and staff here are amazing and played a huge role in my recovery. They truly care about their patients and each patient's recovery path and understand that each patient requires specific things for a speedy recovery. Thank you so much Kindred for everything you have done for me.

My Mom was admitted after having an aortic valve and mitral valve replacement. She is 84 and there were some major complications. She is doing much better. I do appreciate this facility’s team approach to health care. Everyone was very caring. We did have a medication issue during her stay, but I have to say that the facility was very open and willing to listen. They made effective changes. I will say that any concern we had was met with open minded communication.

My wife suffered a massive stroke. She went to kindred to stabilize and relearn skills. There was a couple of rough moments but the nurses and doctors were there getting my wife through these trials. I can't say enough praise for the entire staff and they all deserve it but my wife's nurses; Eddie, Debbie and Cici were caring and helpful throughout my wife's stay. Thank you!!!

I had a traumatic brain injury in 2006. I was transported from a Waco TX ER to Kindred for care. My stay frankly saved my life. 3 weeks into my stay I "woke up" to regain my cognitive skills. I'm blessed to have been in the care of the staff and physicians at Kindred.

I could not have been more satisfied with Kindred and the outcome of my son's progress. He was admitted twice due to having to have more surgery. Each time they made the process go smoothly. Paula along with all the nursing staff were very attentive to my son. Dr. Adamo was his doctor both times. He treated both me and my son with respect and listened to everything we had to say. We were also very grateful for Dr. Bizmar and his expertise. I could keep naming names, but it was a team effort from all the other doctors, custodial, PT, OT, Speech Therapy, caseworker, receptionist, cooks, and everyone in between in getting him better. Thanks to each of you. I would recommend Kindred to anyone.

Everyone here is very compassionate and competent. Wound vac team is amazing!! Made sure my wife and I were always comfortable. Food was very good! Never had shrimp scampi in a hospital before. Kudos to the chef. Would highly recommend if someone needs long term acute care.

My mother was at Kindred southwest hospital for over a month. Everyone from this organization cares about people and helping them to get better. That's not always the case as we have been to other long-term care facilities. I would like to thank everyone there from the bottom of my heart for going above and beyond but a special shout-out thank you too Mark in physical therapy and to Deanna her case worker.

I was at Arlington Memorial Hospital and not a stranger to Kindred I wanted to go their because I knew I would have great care . My mother was here and a dear friend has been here several times. I've been in several hospitals and never have I come across a great nurse as Todd is. Lola my tech is a very sweet and compassion lady. Dan also is good at what he does. Overall everyone has been very helpful and I appreciate it.
Well I'm back to Kindred SW. Once again I have received excellent care. Was great seeing the ones who took care of me the last time and now. Todd and John are exceptional nurses. Morgan in pulmonary rehab is a delight

I came to Kindred after being in ICU in a local hospital for 38 days with DKA that became severe enough that I coded. I had been on a ventilator for 30 days and experienced renal failure. When I got to Kindred, Dr. Adamo did a very thorough evaluation and started me on a fantastic path of recovery. I’ve been here for two weeks today and my improvement is phenomenal. I have gone from little to no movement in my arms and hands to feeding myself, with the help of my fantastic speech therapist, Jerry, and also being able to reach up and grab my pillows to position them under my head. Today, I was able to stand up 3 times with the help of my Physical Therapist, Mark.

I cannot stress enough how awesome my care has been at Kindred. I feel like everyone is as positive as they can possibly be and truly do everything way above and beyond what is expected to see that I have a successful recovery. Though everyone has been very good and helpful, I would like to say that there are some of my caretakers that I will be forever thankful for that have been exceptional professionally and personally. Paula, my RN in Progressive Care, was fantastic. She was so positive, encouraging, and provided a level of care that was top rate! Callie, another RN in Progressive Care, was very helpful, an ideal caretaker, and a lot of fun. Two other people that I would like to mention that we such a vital part of my recovery were Terri, a Nurse Tech, and James, a Respiratory Therapist.

My care at Kindred Hospital has been wonderful. There is absolutely nothing that I would change - everything has been top-notch. Choosing Kindred has been life-changing and I am forever grateful for the level of expertise and a staff that truly cares!!

I started out at Downtowb Harris hospital because I had an infection. I couldn't go home due to the antibiotics I was on so I went to Kindred Southwest. I have received excellent care especially from the day shift of nursing. Thank you everyone.

I went Baylor in Fort Worth ER because I couldn't breath. I had to put on more oxygen and lost my strength. I had a family member that had previously been a patient at Kindred and he recommended the hospital. Since I have been here I have worked with therapy and lowered the amount of oxygen I need. Story from nursing has done a great job and Morgan from pulmonary rehab has taught me how breath better. I would recommend kindred for someone who needed help with their breathing.

This very specialized hospital had the best nursing, respiratory and rehabilitation personnel I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They were professional and friendly. I was there for 10 days and was treated as if I were the only patient there. At Kindred I was cared for by a team of doctors, not just one. Therapies were great. Respiratory was always on their toes and the nursing staff went above and beyond. Then there is the food. The food was so above delicious. A very lovely woman came by everyday to help you pick out your food for the next day. I know hospital food should not be an issue for health care, but it's good for the soul.

Thank God for Kindred Hospital!!
My journey started day after Christmas. I ended up with Covid and pneumonia. Was placed in a coma and actually don't remember much other than after a couple of days coming out ,I went to Kindred in their ICU. My nurse Rita along with everyone in ICU was super nice and I could feel they really cared. Once I moved out of ICU I went to the 3rd floor and once again everyone was great taking care of me. Respiratory,Therapy and Wound care are great and caring. Dr.Khan was a excellent doctor. I really can't thank the staff enough for the passion care.

My stay at Kindred Hospital has been excellent. The nurses and doctors have been great. Their physical therapy has helped me to regain movement back in my legs.
I was a patient at UT Southwestern in Dallas and went through a heart procedure After the surgery I was unable to walk and had limited motion. I was transferred to Kindred to help me walk again and they also observed my heart.
Kindred Hospital is a well run facility. I would recommend it to anyone who needs hospital recovery.
