Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of City View

My grandmother went to this facility for rehab therapy. At first I was unsure about this place due to the reviews but came out to be great for my grandmother. My family has spent all day or stayed the night everyday to confirm this.

Name the goal you want your loved one to reach and they will meet standards.
Very professional with my grandmother. Doctors, RN, CNA etc..Therapist are amazing!

Food is good
Everyone communicates
Every 1½ hour they check for urine. They provide baby wipes and diapers. They offered family to stay the night.

Facility is not ran down. Very clean place. Everybody likes doing their job.

I am very picky and overprotective of my grandmother. So far I am happy with results.

I hope this helps out with people that are questioning the bad reviews. I recommend this place for there loved ones.

Othella, my nurse went over and beyond to care for me. Jesus and Lindsey my OT and PT both are knowledgeable and kind. Never being in a rehab before,I fought the whole process after my back surgery. I would recommend Encompass to anyone who needed great care with kind hearted staff. Everyone made sure I was comfortable and very well taken care of. Dr Donnavon took good care of me

My review is for the Encompass employee, Melissa, who worked tirelessly to get my stroke victim brother approved to come there from a rehab that didn't have the needed equipment to help him better. Melissa filed 3 appeals with the insurance, and the needed healthcare was finally approved. She never gave up. Thank you, Melissa!!

My husband was there two weeks. Overall this is the cleanest most organized rehabilitation facility I have seen. He knew everyone by name and they knew him. The case managers, nurses, therapists and doctors were excellent.

Being a loved one of someone who has had a stroke is one of the most trying times anyone can go through. I posted a bad review during this emotional roller coaster. I KNOW Encompass Health will go above and beyond for all of their potential residents/patients. They truely do care and I appreciate what they have done for my loved one.

It was very difficult to have to be in a rehab facility at age 40. But I had a bad spinal cord injury that caused me to become paraplegic. After emergency surgery and a lengthy icu stay i was eventually sent to Encompass for rehab. I just wanted to be home with my 4 children. But I was treated so well here. The Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Dr’s, nurses and patient care techs were all among the best I had ever worked with.
I’ll never forget when I got to ring the bell that signals the completion of therapy. I was actually able to walk out of the facility and begin home health care. Where I was surrounded by my husband and 4 kids.
It was a very emotional and uncertain time for me. We didn’t know for sure it I would ever walk again. The staff became like family to me. I’ll never forget them or my stay there.

I spent a number of days in Encompass Rehab after falling 3 times. I can’t express adequately how appreciative I am for all the PT, OT, Nursing staff and Doctors. Dietary has a large number of menu choices. I now have Encompass seeing me daily at home. Great organization!

I was at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital and the care I received from admissions, nurses and physician was outstanding!!! I had a total hip replacement. If I had gone home it would have taking me months to get back to normal. I was back to normal in 2 weeks!!! I highly recommend this hospital!! Also my grandmother was also in this hospital with a total knee replacement and she said she loved her stay and the way she was treated!!

Staff,doctors, nurses, therapist, housekeeping and kitchen. I have to say my treatment was above and beyond. Professional and compassionate in every sense of the word was the way I was treated. Would recommend Encompass to a place for you or your loved ones. A big SHOUT-OUT for ENCOMPASS CITYVIEW.

My mother was here after her stroke staff was wonderful. Pt, OT and speech therapy were awesome.

My personal experience here.
First I have had a friend come here 2 times after a heart attack and they had to learn all over again and she did great because she needed a lot of care plus rehabilitation to walk eat bathe even she left walking out of that place after daily rehab. The next time was family he had a bad fall and had to learn to walk again and he's very stubborn so we chose to send him here for rehabilitation instead of a nursing home because he actually wanted to learn to walk again on his own and knew that if he was taken home family would not push him to do rehab because of his stubbornness and after 6 weeks he left able to walk without any issues bud did have assistance using a walker age 75, now he's fully recovered no walker needed. As far as staff etc all were nice and any concerns we had were addressed promptly. Plus you have a case manager from day one and the number is wrote on the dry board for anyone to see, so if you have a problem and don't like the facility etc you can request a meeting and if you still don't like what's going on I suggest you contact them and request your family be moved to some other place. Your not held hostage there so reading some of the reviews makes me think they sent their family member to the wrong facility. So that said if you want rehabilitation and your family member isn't so out of it they can't make any decisions on their own I don't know that this would be the place unless your going to have a hands on approach and go daily and ask about progress instead of assuming about their progress. They welcomed me asking questions. So my experience has been great family and friend's.

I've been staying here since last Wednesday recovering from knee surgery and the staff is great! My physical therapists go the extra mile to help me as do the nurses.

My mother was there for a week. Staff was awesome. She continues to rave about them. She even says the food was good.

Great place to recooperate...everyone friendly and professional well trained
to help each other when need be.
I would definitely recommend this place for anyone rather it would be something serious or just a broken ankle this is excellent place to go to recuperate!!!!
