The Happy Lark

The Happy Lark saved our Christmas! We bought our son a Micro Maxi foldable scooter from *unnamed big box store* in early December. When it arrived nearly 2 weeks later, we opened it only to find out they sent the wrong item. By that time (Dec. 16), the Micro scooter was sold out or unavailable until after Christmas everywhere.

Thankfully we stumbled across The Happy Lark, who showed 2 left in stock in the color we wanted. We weren’t sure it would arrive by Christmas Eve, but the website said they usually ship in 1-2 days and we figured we had nothing to lose by that point.

We ordered it Dec. 16 and it arrived Dec. 19! We had plenty of time to get it wrapped and can’t wait for our son to open it. Lesson learned - shop small businesses first! Thank you to The Happy Lark. We will be return customers!

Great selection of educational toys; refreshing to see other options than the traditional commercial merchandise. Worth the visit. My kids loved the couple of games we got. The pic shows the winner for my kids.

Amazing customer service! I emailed late on a Sunday regarding shipping and received an almost immediate reply. I ended up ordering what I needed and it came so quickly....a lifesaver b/c I misplaced something for my son's bday that is in a few days and he is expecting it....so I found it on Happy Lark and it came in a few days. Happy family over here b/c of Happy Lark! Thank you! And of course the products are beautifully crafted.

The price to get it is fair and they have and abundant amount of sensory toys for kids to play with. Seemingly clean. But the prices for the merchandise in their store was outrageous.

Absolutely beautiful selection of products. I adore this store! They even helped me arrange to send something to my god daughter in NYC and I am located in Australia! Stunning wooden toys, costumes and many more. What a gem :) So glad I found you! Sera was amazing helping me send something to bring home to my children in Australia and arranged expedited shipping to send to a friend in NYC to have in time for Christmas. This place is wonderful, do yourself a favour!

Happy Lark is one of our favorite places to take our two younger children while our oldest is in school. They have an open concept play area fit for infants to preschoolers, which is a huge relief for a mama with two kids, four years apart. I love that I can enjoy a (FREE) cup of coffee, chat with friends and watch my kiddos play without loosing sight of them. The shop is perfect, most of the toys available to play with are also available for purchase. They also have the cutest clothes! But ultimately the friendly staff members are what bring us back every time.

Indoor playspace -- coffee included with admission! $12.50 for the first kid, $3 for each additional kid (within the same family). They also have monthly membership options.
My kids loved it; they did wish there was something with a steering wheel to play with. There is a storefront with really nice toys and a few shoes. Outside food and drinks are allowed in a designated area. The restroom had a nice baby-changing station; there is also a semi-private corner with a comfortable chair for breastfeeding moms.

Nice staff and lots of fun toys. We had a one year old and a three year old and both had plenty to do in a nicely air conditioned room. I don't think we will come as often as I'd like because my budget for activities isn't a lot but it's fun for a special occasion.

Super fun children’s play area that my 15 month old daughter loves. Lots of toys and different areas for kids to play in. They also have the toys for sale in the main area. They have coffee for the adults in the back and a place where you can eat lunch. Overall, a great place to go where kids can play with other kids and you can meet other parents.

The play area is wonderful for children, they have books everywhere and enough toys for all to play with. The nice thing is they offer some simple classes such as story time and music, but the time isn't the best. The store area is neat with a lot of cool designed clothing and toys. Quality of the clothing is good too just a tad costly, but cute clothes for kids.

I will absolutely be back again. The staff was very knowledgeable of developmentally appropriate toys that weren't just a one stop pony and the few toys we purchased have been played with EVERY DAY. We even found a toy that my 2, 4, and 5 year old play TOGETHER with which can be nearly impossible (Thanks SpinAgain!). They also have items very helpful with homeschooling which has been wonderful! I look forward to when the playroom opens back up as my littles will love it. Can't wait to go back and support this local business!!

Loved this play space! Plenty of room and lots of great toys that are regularly changed out and seasonal. My 2 year old didn't want to leave! We're didn't do any shopping, but saw some cute stuff as we walked through.

I am so impressed with this business model. I see every kid joining the lark family. It’s the best place in the dfw to take your child on rainy days or when it’s cold. The toys are amazing and keep kids engaged and the staff keep the place nice and clean. %100 kid friendly.

Nice staff, clean facility and cool toys

The only store I know in the entire DFW area that carries all the high quality, heirloom toys that we treasure in our home. I am very grateful to have The Happy Lark a short drive away.

Kind and friendly staff. Everything was clean and well kept up. They had a great selections of toys in the play areas as well as new items for purchase.
