Half Price Books

I have not been in a bookstore for years. Well, I have been learning a new skill and was struggling on certain aspects and thought it might be good to go the old fashioned paper route.
This store is neat as a pin. The air is fresh and and the energy is nice. They had tons of well organized and easy to locate categories so I went right to mine in the art section. There were several books on exactly what I was looking for. The prices were very fair.
I glanced at the craft book section and there was a dizzying array of books on so many topics, very niche even.
It was so welcoming and the tables here and there invite you to sit down and peruse at your leisure.
Another favorite part of the store for me was an entire aisle plus end caps of sketchbooks and journals. From plain covered to characters to modern art covers, all good quality.
The associate who helped me at checkout was wonderful, helpful, and conversational. They even offered me extra information in my quest for knowledge.
I will be going back. The internet is great but there is still space for the books you can touch and people you can interact with. And this is a great place to do both. Highly recommended!

We have been going to this store since it opened many years ago. It has consistently been clean, organized, well stocked. The staff has always been helpful, very knowledgeable, kind, and always available. Even though the tendency is to not use a paperback/ hardback books, we hope this place stays around a lot longer.

One of my favorite places to purchase books. They always greet you at the door and are willing to answer any of my questions. I also love how they give great book recommendations. I have been reading a lot more and it's helpful to have different options of books suggested when you're trying to find your favorite genre.

This is a good location. Selection is large and well organized. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and aisles aren't cluttered. The selling process is quick and easy as well.

Great selection 5 minutes from my house. I go frequently but was looking for a book they didn't have the other day. The lady working the register looked it up, found a copy, and offered to have it transferred, or else I could go to the Hulen location and buy it. I chose to drive myself but was grateful for her help.

Good place. One or two books dotted around the place along with cds and vinyl and dvds. Great staff, probably more intelligent than your average politician.

I love this place, the selection is great my daughter loves to go here so we are there frequently! The kids corner is the best part of the store!

Update 12/2023- still great!

I had hundreds of Japanese Anime and they helped me unload them and they tallied them up. I was able to shop until they were ready to make me an offer. I got a great price and actually spent some on 4 books!

While I’ve never been to a less than 5-star HPB, this location is top tier. The staff are quick to help and seem joyful to chat with customers.

Wonderful options for books, memorabilia, figurines, legos, records, and more! I picked up some Spanish literature to enjoy and had a great time. The store was homey and the workers were good at making me feel comfortable. I may return at some point to pick up some more reading material.

Perfect bookstore etc ratio. My gf and I frequent this location and have never been disappointed with the selection of books from fiction to self-help and nutrition. Will always recommend

I called asking about the availability of large Bibles. Helen was so very helpful, even walking back to peruse their offerings and make recommendations to me. Wide open spaces, thousands of books and an extremely helpful and friendly staff. I highly recommend this experience.

Fabulous and very courteous employees. I was not expecting much but WOW- I was amazed and surprised- This little gem is my new hidden get away. If you love puzzle, they some unique one, which have some darn good prizes. I rate them more than five stars!

I had a very nice experience at Half Price Books with my daughter, Melody, and my mom Maria. Melody asked if ee could stop by to check out some books so we did. We both purchased a book each and a board game for family time. My mom wanted a journal but she couldn't find one anywhere. It is very big with a huge selection and can be a little overwhelming at first. I originally waas looking for one of Robert Greene's books but they didn't have any in stock at that location so I requested one to be transferred to that store. It was very easy and convenient. The way it works is, you put in a request for the book or books you want and leave your phone number. Once it arrives to the store you requested it from, Half Priced Books literally gives you a call to notify you of its availability. You then go and pick it up. You don't pay anything until you are ready to pick it up, once it arrives. I requested one but became impatient and ended up ordering the book online with Amazon Kindle (ouch) because I could not wait to read this amazing book! The employees are outstanding and pleasant.

I love half price books. The prices are reasonable, and the book selection is unquestionably the best. I have found Atlas's from decades ago, to magazines, and antique children's books. And if you can't find it here they will find it at one of the other locations and have it shipped to you. And they will buy your old books.
