The food here was amazing. We will definitely be returning. I think they would benefit from having a waitress person to make sure the table and the areas around the tables stay clean because some people get really messy when eating. Great service.

If your looking for Tamales for the holiday season then you should definitely try Mexican Deli in Richland Hills.

They sell them 7 days a week and year round!

The masa was steamy and fresh, meats were spiced just right and they also had rajas con queso (cheese with peppers) which are extremely hard to come by.

They also sell all the great authentic Mexican treats like gorditas, elote, tacos, etc.

The owner was very welcoming and proud of his restaurant and especially his food. Him and his son treated us like family and even gave us a free tamale to try.

UPDATED: still amazing every time I go! The friendliest service and the food is not over complicated, just fresh ingredients packed with flavor! My favorite is the torta Al pastor. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, though. Authentic Mexican food and a family business— a true HIDDEN GEM!

Words cannot describe how excited I am to have stumbled upon this place, but I can try! This is the only photo I took because the tamale and burrito we got did not last five minutes. This place is amazing! Family friendly and hospitable staff, along with the best, authentic homemade food all at a more than reasonable price. Can’t wait to come back again! A true gem of a place.

Excellent little take out experience! Authentic Mexican food. Ordered the carnitas tacos and pork burrito with red sauce. Fresh ingredients and wonderful simple flavors.
Had sides of beans and cheese and rice and just reminded me of my Grandma's cooking. Very comforting.
Owner was very friendly...genuine. If I am ever in Richland Hills area I will be sure to visit again!

I have been at this location several times and never disappoints! I try a different plate every time I go, and all has a good taste! I recently got the red chicken enchiladas & they were amazing! The owner is really kind.

Ate the Caldo de Res. Big flavor. Very filling. Was very delicious. Definitely come back and try something else on the menu.

This place is the perfect whole in the wall. Humble owner great authentic food, well priced and they really treat you like familia. We got the torta con asada was bigger then any 12’ sub you would get. The gorditas are to die for and the tamales just simple perfection.

Don’t let the lack of a sign outside scare you away. I got an al pastor Gordita and a steak burrito. Both were delicious. To drink I got a horchata and it was also very good. Seating it a little small and tight so I wouldn’t come here with a large party to eat inside. But the owner is really nice and you can tell he really cares about his place. Come grab a burrito, you won’t regret it.

Bought Christmas tamales yesterday and all I can say is they are GOOD!!!

Some of the most friendly people on town! Their tamales are the best in the area!!!

Their tortas a great size. All their food have great amount of meat. Most places don't do that, but this place does. My dad had a menudo and he enjoyed it. His very picky when it comes about menudo.

the menudo is amazing they specialise in menudo and gorditas,its the hand made tortillas for me,food is delicious just keep in mind it’s not a fast food place everything is made by hand and fresh to order so if you want lunch i would order ahead

Wife and I have eaten here many times over the last several years and went today, which is why I'm writing this review now. Personally, I love the pork tamales as they are out of this world. He has a couple hot sauces that are quite yummy. Red for me (little more spicy) and green for my wife. Wife gets the beef tacos and loves them. We also split one of the elotes with everything on it... Awesome!! The owner is the most genuinely nice guy you've ever met. Will have to take pictures next time.. YUM.
